Story
Chase is a very sweet cuddly dog, unfortunately we have a newborn and I just don’t have the time to give him the attention and exercise he deserves. He would thrive in a gated backyard. He loves to be with his humans, and LOVES car rides. If adopted we will provide his harness, car seat belt, bed & crate. If you open the door to the garage he instantly runs to the car & thinks he’s going as well. He is crate trained. We put him in his crate whenever we aren’t home & he also sleeps in it next to our bed. He loves walks & belly rubs. Very gentle for a kid friendly home. He does very well with other animals as well, he may take a day or 2 to get used to a new pack then he’ll be right at home. wouldn’t hurt a fly as he’s probably scared of it lol. Must be on a leash at all times outdoors. Currently goes to APAWS vet in Eastpointe we can get his medical records over!

Meet Flora!Flora is a 1 year old, Spayed Female, Beagle/German Shepherd mix.Flora is a gorgeous medium sized girl who came to us heavily pregnant. She gave birth the same day she came in and was an incredible mom! Now it's her turn to be the center of attention! Flora should do ok with other dogs but may need some time to adjust. She will likely do best in a home without cats. She loves children and will do well in a family setting. Flora can jump a 4 ft fence she she will need a 6 foot fence or to be leash walked in her forever home.Visit our website to fill out the adoption application: https://bit.ly/HSofMacombadoptionapplicationIf your application was approved and you received a call back from the Humane Society of Macomb for a meet and greet, plan to take the animal home that day. We cannot place puppies/dogs on hold to come pick up for another day.All Humane Society of Macomb animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested and microchipped.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

Story
Teddy is a 6.5 year old Beagle English bulldog mix. He has been with me since he was 18 weeks old. I am recently divorced and work 10-16 hours a day and I fear he is being neglected. He is in great shape with the only issue in his history being an ear infection that lasted almost 6 MO this before finally getting rid of it last year. His shots were up to date until I fell behind on it over the past 6 months with the expense from the unexpected divorce. His only behavior concern is that he is protective of his food. He has never been anything but loving towards humans or animals, but there has been 2 occurrences over his lifespan where he went after my other dog for getting too close to his food bowl. His first 18 weeks w/o me were in a cage with 6 dogs and 1 bo2l.of food, unfortunately.Ideally, he would go to a home with more room to roam and get some training or eat foot isolated, to eliminate and chance of conflictI am listing him at no cost because of his shots needing to be updated.

Story
***Coco is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Just look at that face! Coco is estimated to be about 3 1/2 months old and weighs 16 pounds right now. This little cutie bear went right into foster as soon as he came to the rescue and his foster mom has given us a nice update: Coco is very smart and food motivated. He knows sit and down and recall. He seems to want to be around my dogs more than he can be at the moment as he just got neutered, so no playing for him right now. I think he would make a great second dog if the other dog can set limits for him. He is a lap dog and loves to be around people. We had a really nice morning relaxing outside and he was calmly watching squirrels and birds. I believe he is partially potty trained, once he goes to the door you don't have too long before he has to go. He is very cute and expressive, though he will bark quite a bit for attention or when he's frustrated but that has calmed considerably. As he is a Beagle mix, he is going to want to go for lots of walks to take in all the smells and for sure use his Beagly nose, so an active family that likes to do fun things is just what he needs! Coco would love it if you wanted to meet him! If you are interested in Coco and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED, OR FOREVER HOME *COURTESY LISTING This sweet senior boy is facing a heartbreaking change...his owner suddenly passed away, and he's now confused and looking for stability and a calm place to land. He is not with our rescue; we are sharing to help his current caregiver find him the right home. For any inquiry, please call or text Sarah directly at (810) 922-8159. Muttley is an 8 to 9 year old Husky/Beagle mix (more Husky in appearance), weighing about 70 lbs. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and recently had some TLC including a nail trim. Muttley is truly a people-loving companion. He enjoys affection and being close to his person. He is an indoor dog at heart and is happiest snuggled on the couch or sleeping next to you in bed. His age is just a number - Muttley is still quite the playful boy and loves going on walks! -No cats -Prefer no other dogs; he is not aggressive, but can be selective and would be most comfortable as the only pet in a calm environment due to the recent changes he's experienced -No young children; Muttley is very friendly but really needs a quiet and low-activity home He is currently located in Genesee County, but his caregiver is willing to transport a distance for the right match! Right now, what he needs most is either: A foster home to help him transition through this difficult time -or- A forever home ready to give him the peaceful, loving retirement he deserves **If you can offer him safety and comfort after such a sudden loss, please call or text Sarah directly at (810) 922-8159. This is a courtesy listing to help Muttley find a home, and he's not located at our rescue. All information shown is provided from her current caregiver.**
