You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Very well house trained affectionate and sweet Beagle girl.  Older children, does well with proper introduction, not known how she does with cats.  LOVES car rides !!  physical fence required.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Meet Mumsy! DESPERATELY NEEDS OUT OF THE KENNEL! LOVES OTHER DOGS! HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE MOST AFFECTIONATE DOGS YOU'LL EVER MEET! This darling three-year-old, 49-pound beagle mix will be quick to capture your heart with her endearing personality and lovely nature. Mumsy was found abandoned and malnourished, taking care of her litter of pups. Being the amazing mama she is, she kept her babies safe and all of them have now been adopted. Now its her turn to find the family of her dreams-one that will truly treasure her and show her how wonderful life can be! While Mumsy did have a straycation around the holidays, she has since been struggling in the kennel and desperately needs a family to foster/rescue her! She is a pup that thrives with other dogs! They bring her comfort and we feel she'd do best in a home with another affectionate dog. As you can see from her pics, she adores other pups and we promised we'd find her a wonderful fur sibling for her! She shares her toys very well too! Speaking of toys, Mumsy loves all sort of them! She's also fond of all types of treats. She has spent time with a cat and while interested, we feel she does have the potential to live with a dog-savvy feline. Mumsy does very well on leash and also good in the car. She seems to enjoy her time outside and a yard for her to enjoy is a must for her. Mumsy is the definition of a submissive sweetheart! She can be timid with new people initially, but once she feels comfortable, she's a total lover girl. At the end of the day, she sleeps quietly throughout the night in her crate in her foster mom's bedroom. She's on her way to being fully house-trained and we think she'll have it down in no time. With patience and encouragement, we know Mumsy will continue to build her confidence and she's going to bring so much joy to one lucky family. Mumsy is a pup that would do best in a home where she can be part of the daily activities or where someone is home to keep her company. She's happiest when she can be where you are. Can't think of a better way to spend your time than cuddling with this cutie pie! Based on our evaluation, we feel Mumsy would do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Cornbread has been perfect to me, and I fear I can’t give him the life he deserves anymore. I moved because of a breakup to a smaller place what I can afford and he doesn’t have access to walks and going outside as much as he used to. He needs more time outside and more time free. I love him but I can’t force the city life on him it’s depressing him.
