*I will be out of the shelter from 4-22-24 until 4-29-24*Howdy! My name is Patty Sue and I`m a 5 year old Beagle/ Harrier mix. I am currently being treated for Heartworm. (Please ask a staff member) The treatment will be coveredI`m a country girl through and through. I love roaming around the yard exploring and sniffing and occasionally howling at cats and squirrels.I don`t mind getting a little messy and just being outside! I absolutely love the outdoors and all the smells that come with it. I could sniff and sniff for hours if you`d let me. I`d love a family with a big yard for me to run around and explore.I`d enjoy someone who will take me on adventures or maybe even teach me to hunt!I would do best in a home with no cats, but I am good with other dogs!I am up to date on my vaccinations but will need a regular veterinarian to make sure I stay happy and healthy for a long time.Come take me home!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
