You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pongo. He is about six years old, 50-60 lbs. his owner went into assisted living and this sweet boy is looking for a home. No history with children, good with other dogs. He loves to play and is very social. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. **Courtesy Listing: If interested, please call or text Erica directly at 248-860-2615** Meet Sergeant, a super sweet 14 year old beagle who is looking for a calm, comforting home to spend his golden years. His world has recently been turned upside down and he’s feeling very confused right now. What he needs most is a soft place to rest and someone who can help him feel safe and loved again. Sergeant is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and house-trained. He has previously lived with dogs, cats, and even rabbits! He is dog-selective and has done well with calm, smaller dogs who respect his space. He is incredibly low maintenance, potty-trained, and happiest when he’s simply curled up next to his person. He does become anxious when alone, most likely from the unfortunate changes he has recently had to experience. He is not on any medications, and although he has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and a heart murmur, neither condition has affected his quality of life. He just needs to stay on a low-fat diet to avoid pancreatitis flare-ups, and overall he’s doing wonderfully for his age and has that old man spunk. He has some hearing loss but listens well if you shout - knows a couple tricks and comes when you call. Sergeant isn’t asking for much - just a peaceful home, a warm bed, and someone to love him through his senior years. Hubert is dreamy, the way he looks at you! He is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 41 pounds. Meet Hubert, a sweet boy with a waggy tail. His cute and curious (Beagle) nature will win your heart, and his big, soft eyes will melt any worries away. Hubert may come across as a little insecure at first; he's had a rough start and is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. We fear he may have been an outside dog based on how bad the fly bite scars are on his ears, the poor muffin. Yet Hubert is still so connecting with a playful spirit and a silly side that's just waiting to be unleashed in the right home. He is looking for a leader to help build his confidence and set limits. An active family who likes to go for walks, play or maybe go on adventures would be just perfect, Hubert would love that! Could you be the one to give this adorable boy the happiness he deserves, with an actual home to be inside and cuddling with his forever family? Hubert would like it if you came to meet him, he can’t wait for a family to love. He will need some type of containment plan due to his breed and a home where any children are at least 8 years old.
