Hiya, my name is Lizzy. Pleased to meet ya. I am thought to be a 6 year old beagle/jack russell mix. I am a shy but very sweet little lady once I get to know you. I love to look out the window and be with my people. I like other dogs and don't seem to mind cats or kids. I am not really sure how to play with other dogs or toys. I am starting to be a little more interested in toys. I do okay on a leash, but i need a harness and not a collar because I slip collars very easily. Because of my beagle nature, a securely fenced-in yard would be ideal for me. I do bark in my crate, but I am pretty quiet when not crated. I get pretty nervous in new environments and with loud sounds. I am a good snuggler and love to sleep under the covers at night.Lizzy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and on heartworm prevention. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Miss Percy Sue Pickles came to OBHR under the name Persimmon but we have since changed that to something more fun and fitting!  Percy came to OBHR a HOT MESS!! She had no hair on her chest, bottom, hoo hoo, back legs and very sparse on her back. Her eyes were cloudy and goopy. She was obviously used to crank out puppies over the years and probably was dumped. Thank goodness she was picked up by a good hearted person who took her to the shelter who then contacted us. Percy Sue Pickles' foster family has been taking fantastic care of her and a lot of her hair is coming back in! She is still pretty bald on the booty and legs, but things are filling in! She has some new eye meds and they are also clearing up. We are not sure she can see 100% but thank goodness she has that hound dog nose! Percy is guessed to be a bea-bull...beagle bulldog and about 8 years old. She is a sweet girl who would love a family of her own. She is spayed, chipped and up to date on all shots, but it still continuing with her meds for her eyes and skin. She is a little gal at 36 pounds of spunk!   She is good with other dogs, chickens, ducks, lizards.....doing fantastic in her foster home! She is a spunky little girl who may take a few days to warm up to you but she will eventually pay you back with love over and over!  She is available for adoption now if she can go to a home close enough to our Columbus vet so they can continue to check her progress for a few more weeks.  If you are interested in Percy Sue Pickles, please fill out the online application at ohiobassetrescue.com. Petty is gentle. She needs a human friend who she can be with during the day. She likes to walk and does well on a leash. Not able to be alone in a fenced area. She will find a way to escape. Her owner walked her on a leash and it worked well for her. Petty is cage trained. Her owner can no longer care for her because she suffers from age related health problems that have required her to be cared for by others. Petty is a sweet girl who just needs somebody to love her in her senior years. She is around 11 years old. She is afraid of cats, but not agressive toward them. Her owner rescued her, but unfortunately, now she needs a rescue again. Please help petty find her forever home. She cannot jump up on the furniture, she does not jump on people. She likes everyone. Does very well on a leash and likes walks. Good natured, just wants love and affection. She likes treats and most kinds of food. Please consider being her forever friend. She is a good dog.
