Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX

Story
Meet Todd ❤️ Todd is proof that sometimes the quietest dogs have the biggest hearts. At 3 years old and 22 pounds, Todd is a sweet Beagle who is learning that people can be kind. He likely hasn’t had much positive experience with human companionship, so he’s still discovering what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. Every day, he grows a little more confident, and watching that progress has been incredibly rewarding. Todd was found near a property with a notorious reputation for breeding Beagles. While we can’t say for certain where he came from, his limited socialization with people suggests he may not have experienced much positive human interaction. Because of that, he was at risk of euthanasia at the shelter before getting the second chance he deserved. Now he’s surrounded by love, and he’s slowly beginning to realize that this new life is here to stay. One thing Todd already knows is that he absolutely loves other dogs. They are his comfort zone, his confidence builders, and his teachers. He thrives in the company of canine friends and would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can continue showing him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Todd also did well during his cat introduction, showing calm, respectful manners. As Todd is still learning to trust he'd do best with children over the age of 7 who can be patient with him and give him lots of love. Although Todd is still building trust with people, he has already made wonderful progress. He chooses to stay close to his foster, happily follows along, and is becoming more comfortable with gentle handling every day. He doesn’t ask for much—just patience, kindness, and someone willing to let him move at his own pace. Todd is also keeping his sleeping area clean overnight and has shown wonderful habits as he settles into indoor life. With consistency and encouragement, we expect him to continue blossoming into a wonderful companion. Todd will best thrive in a home with a fenced yard so that he can smoothly transition into his forever home. If you believe that some of life’s greatest rewards come from earning the trust of a gentle soul, Todd just might be your perfect match. The family who gives him the time he deserves will get to experience something truly special—the joy of watching a shy heart learn to love without fear. Todd's adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Todd today!

Story
Say hello to Calvin! Mr. Calvin here might be the Calvin to your Hobbes, he's so sweet! Calvin was given up by his finder to our rescue recently but he's in good hands. He instantly warmed up and got along with everyone here as soon as we got him. Calvin is a Beagle mix, he's a bit of a bigger boy with his stubby legs- kind of like a super solid beagle but isn't short. Calvin loves getting attention, he'll bump you with his head so you notice and pay attention to him! He'll need a bit of leash work but is very eager to get to work! That is what people notice most about Calvin, is his eagerness. He will need slow introductions to other people and animals as he can warm up to others slowly sometimes. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
