Lilo came to us as a stray and sadly no ones came looking for her. She is around 3-4 and doesn't seem to mind the other dogs and previously was running with a male dog. We can cat test her if needed also. She can be shy at first but is really food motivated.Additional Info:Hillside SPCA is open to public 11 am-3 pm daily. Please consider stopping by to meet your new best friend!

Story
Amber has not had an easy life. This sweet girl was found in a field with 3 other dogs, along the Texas/Mexico border. The difference with her is – she was producing milk and had obvious puppies somewhere. To the devastation of all of us, we found out somebody had taken her puppies, and left Amber behind. Amber was heartbroken. She had tons of milk, was very motherly, and had no puppies to mother or take care of. You could see the heartbreak she had. Over time, Amber has overcome that tragedy, and has turned into the sweetest, most loving girl. Amber is approximately 4 years old and weighs 42 lbs, despite she could stand to lose a few lbs. She looks to be a beagle mix with her small body and shorter legs, but is not vocal like one. A fun quirk about Amber is if you go to pick her up, she rolls on her back and starts kicking out her little, stubby legs in excitement. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES human contact and belly rubs. Amber loves other dogs but would be fine in a home without them. She sleeps next to the catio and has no issues with cats! She is very laid back and just the sweetest girl. Amber absolutely loves everyone she meets. She is very submissive and very gentle. Amber is crate and house trained. When you baby talk Amber, she starts dancing around in excitement. SHE LOVES BEING BABY TALKED TOO. An ideal home for Amber is one that wants a cuddle buddy and is calmer. She loves being next to her human and relaxing more than anything else. A must for Amber: cuddling and belly scratches. If you want a great apartment dog, a loyal partner and a dog that is more relaxed than most, please consider Amber. Amber is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. Story
Everyone loves a Beagle and Dean is no exception to being a Beagle that especially needs love and some much needed personal guidance.  This 3 year old Beagle boy is 31 pounds and pretty much ALL Beagle.  But he needs someone to color inside the lines and shape him into an exceptional fellow that we know he is capable of being.  He was found as a stray with his brother and at this stage of life he is a blank canvas that needs polishing and molding.  Dean is healthy and thankfully heartworm negative.  True to form this boy is full of energy and lots of hunting instincts that cannot be denied.  His mind and body and tail are always busy wagging and exploring his outdoor environment.  Fortunately despite being abandoned and found as a stray, this boy is friendly with humans, kids and other dogs are welcome new friends to discover for him.  This  boy Dean can accept AND give love generously and without hesitation.  And he needs a fenced yard that he cannot escape.  He will test you at first on that fencing thing but you as the human are smarter than him.  Secure the yard well and then no problem.  He is good on a leash and knows the sit commands only. You can continue and teach him more, which we know he will learn quickl  Beagles are a man's best friend in life.  Dean has the potential to be the truest friend you might ever have in life.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live so that we know if you are in Tennessee where he is fostered or if we must transport him to the northeastern corridor of state on our transport van.         PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 17, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
Meet Chance Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Chance came from a hoarding/ animal abuse case where his owners were consequently arrest, arrested.  Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a little on the chubby side at 56lbs and loves to be a couch potato, though we have put him on an exercise regimen and a diet.  Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved.Chance was given a second chance at life. Could you be the one to give him his second chance at a forever home?  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  September 17, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
Meet Ganache — a little chocolate-covered heartthrob who is about to steal yours! ❤️Seriously, just look at this face. Those enormous doe eyes, those wonderfully long hound-dog ears, and that gorgeous chocolate and tan coloring are enough to make anyone swoon. But the best part? Ganache’s personality is every bit as adorable as his looks. This Beagle/Chi mix boy is a total social butterfly who seems to believe that everyone he meets is simply a friend he hasn’t gotten to know yet. People? Loves them. Dogs? Loves them. Attention? Absolutely! Ganache has even attended several puppy yoga classes, where he happily mingled with puppies and was cuddled, handled, and fussed over by people of all ages. He thought the whole experience was fantastic and was clearly born to be the center of attention! And yet, for such a fun-loving little guy, Ganache has an impressively sweet off-switch. When the excitement is over, he is perfectly content to curl up in his crate for a nap or quietly watch whatever is happening around him. He doesn’t need to be entertained every second of the day and is already showing the ability to settle nicely when left alone. He’s also off to a wonderful start with his potty training. Ganache sleeps through the night without accidents in his pen and consistently uses his pee pad during the day. We expect this handsome boy to top out around 20–25 pounds when fully grown — a great size for adventures, cuddles, and taking up just the right amount of space on the couch.Ganache really is the whole puppy package: adorable, social, adaptable, affectionate, and already showing such wonderful manners for his age. He’s ready for a family who will continue guiding him as he grows and, in return, will have a loyal little shadow who thinks life is one big party as long as he gets to be part of it.If you’ve been waiting for the puppy who makes you say “Oh, I NEED him,” we have a feeling Ganache may be your guy.
