Story
Nash is one of those perfect family size pups that will fit in perfectly for any family with an active lifestyle, maybe a few young children that love to run and play and then snuggle while watching some special TV programs.  He was born around October 1st and he and his 3 siblings came to Critter Cavalry Rescue from a not so good environment and outdoor pen that was too small.  His personality is one of curiosity and excitement to learn new things and play with new people.   He is loving being inside a great foster home where he can sit on the sofa, play in a specious backyard with two fun girls over 10 years of age and then hang out with the older Beagle girls that belong to the foster family.  These puppies are always smiling and just happy to be getting the love and care that Critter Cavalry Rescue fosters promise to give. He is 25 pounds at 6 months and he is learning about potty training and crate training and how to be a little puppy gentleman while being part of the inside family activities.  He is not a runner but a fenced yard could be so safe and beneficial.  He needs training on the leash and could be so much fun to take on family hikes, or personal walks for the enjoyment of exercise and the ritual of exploring the great outdoors.  A fun event that showed just how adaptable Nash can be was when he attended a YMCA Puppy Yoga class and what fun it was.  He wandered amongst the Yoga participants saying hello and then discovering himself in the floor to ceiling mirrors that were all over the room.  He was fascinated with seeing himself. These were the most people he had been around in his life at one time!  He passed with flying colors and loved every minute as the hour came to a close and it was time to go home. He and his siblings did so well and they were so cute!!!  Sweet Nash has dreams in life and they are simple.  All he wants is to love his own people and to be loved in return.  A lifetime of promises await this little guy who will one day be a 35 pound adult that will be a treasure in your diary of the life and love of a dog.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state.  We are in Tennessee and adopt locally and also transport to the Northeastern corridor of states and meet the adopting families.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 7, 2025, 1:14 am

Story
Meet Millie - read what her foster has to say about her. Millie is a total sweetheart of a hound/pitt mix looking for her forever home! This charming girl weighs in at 56 lbs and we think she's about 3 yo.  Millie's journey brought her to us after she was found as a stray in the Coopersburg, PA area and no one claimed her. Millie is a gem! She's a pro in her crate and seems to have mastered house-training. She's been a good girl with the other dogs in her foster home; although those playful feline friends do spark her chasing instincts (something her foster parent is diligently working on!). So we are going to say no cats for her. When it comes to people, Millie is an absolute love bug, soaking up all the attention she can get. While she was well-behaved around children, we feel she would be best in a home with children over age 10 years old. Only because she did not like getting her vaccines so much and we don't think she will appreciate youngsters that would pull on her ears or step on her.Millie is currently enjoying leash walks since her foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. She's a strong girl and can be a bit enthusiastic on the leash at times, alternating between lovely strolls and sudden bursts of energy. Her foster parent is helping her learn better leash manners.Despite these little quirks, Millie is a true delight. She adores gazing out windows, taking in the world, and isn't shy about hopping on the bed for a good roll around. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love and laughter, Millie might just be your perfect match! Millie is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00.If interested in adopting Millie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org
