Story
Lou is 3 (June 3rd) and is a very loving dog. He has aggression around food with other dogs and must be fed alone. He has previously been great with our 2 year old son, however recently has been showing aggression towards him by pawing him and showing teeth and snapping at him making contact now several times. When disciplining him, he has bitten. We are so sad to see him go but do not feel it is a safe environment anymore for our children.

Story
Bailey was born on an Amish Farm in rural Pennsylvania. He’s approximately 10yrs old and despite being a senior dog, is still playful and active. He’s a normal weight and has only had minor health concerns. Bailey will never turn down a snack and currently enjoys home cooked dog food. He only barks when it’s time to go outside for a potty break or to alert when someone is at the front door. Bailey is very easy-going and likes to watch tv or nap. He needs a fenced yard or to be on a leash while outdoors. He interacts well with other people and dogs but is not trained. Bailey was a gift for my father who is now a senior himself and struggling with terminal cancer. He can no longer manage the dog but would like to see him rehomed with a loving family.

Story
Every day in rescue brings another story that is harder to understand than the last. The number of innocent dogs and cats being abandoned, neglected, and left behind feels endless — yet somehow, they still choose to trust again. Sweet Eddie is one of those dogs. At just a year old and around 30 pounds, Eddie is the kind of little Beagle mix who instantly steals your heart. With his soft eyes, adorable round body, and gentle expression, he looks like he was made to curl up in someone’s lap and finally feel safe. Beneath that precious face is a boy who has already experienced far too much disappointment in his short life. Eddie came from a heartbreaking situation of neglect and abandonment alongside eight other dogs. While they were all friendly, you could see the uncertainty and fear they carried with them. But even after everything he has been through, Eddie’s loving nature was impossible to hide. Within just 24 hours in foster care, his personality has already begun to bloom. The worried little dog from intake has been replaced with a smiling, hopeful boy who now welcomes affection from his foster mom and happily enjoys the companionship of the other dogs in the home. There is something especially special about Eddie. He has a vibrant energy to play and stay with his people and other dog all day.  He is sweet and shy and outgoing all at the same time.  He would be best with a younger dog that wants to be his romping  partner in crime.  He kind of makes people instantly feel connected to him with his eager nature to be your best friend. He does demand attention — he leans into it, soaking up every kind word, every gentle touch, every moment of kindness he may have gone without for far too long. We can picture Eddie fitting beautifully into so many different kinds of homes. He would make children beam with excitement and pride to call him their own. He would thrive as a loyal companion for a young couple starting out in an apartment or condo. He would also make the perfect walking or hiking partner for an empty-nesting couple looking for a devoted little shadow to share life with. Eddie is wonderfully versatile because what he truly wants is simple: love, security, and someone who will finally choose him forever. He is fully grown, fully ready, and fully deserving of the kind of commitment he has never known before. Eddie is not looking for perfection — just a family willing to open their heart and help rewrite the rest of his story with love, patience, and belonging. If you would like to help Eddie begin the beautiful next chapter of his life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org
