Meet Chance Some dogs are given a name that fits them perfectly, and Chance is one of them. This sweet 5-year-old Beagle mix received his name because he was given a second chance at life—and he has embraced it with his whole heart. Chance came from a hoarding/ animal abuse case where his owners were consequently arrest, arrested. Despite everything he's been through, Chance has never lost his love for people. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees you, and he still believes that his forever family is out there waiting for him. Chance is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his people, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a little on the chubby side at 56lbs and loves to be a couch potato, though we have put him on an exercise regimen and a diet. Chance is currently heartworm positive, but that doesn't define who he is. He is receiving treatment and deserves the comfort of a loving home while he completes his journey to recovery. His future is bright, and all he needs now is someone willing to give him the love and security he has always deserved.Chance was given a second chance at life. This beautiful purebred Beagle girl called Brittany is our pride and joy to offer to a Beagle loving family. Her story is sad and one that will make you sad and mad all rolled in to one roller coaster of emotions. A young newly wed couple were driving from their home in Chattanooga, on their way to a honeymoon in Nashville, TN. Out of the corner of their eye while driving, they saw a truck pulled over and pushing this girl out onto the side of the road and then drive away. They owned two dogs of their own and it broke their heart to see such meanness. She was in a desperate situation. They pulled over and took her in to their car and then started making calls to shelters and rescues in the Nashville area where they were destined to arrive in a few hours. They got Critter Cavalry on the phone and we stepped up to take her in immediately and we would make sure she had a future family who would never do such a horrible thing as to abandon her. What we have found out with Brittany is that she is a happy and inviting girl who loves to play with other dogs and who loves to spoken to with kindness. She craves love which we are sure she got little of before. Her fav game is to chase a ball. She is young as in probably a year or 2 at the oldest and she weighs 26 pounds. She is being spayed 10/23 and has already started her shots and worming. She is picture perfect if you want a Beagle or small dog that is not tiny but resilient and fun and loving. We know she loves couches and dog company for playtime and hanging out. She’s housebroken and will definitely need a fenced yard to keep that Beagle nose safely within sight of your back door. Bucky is around 3-4 years old and weighs a chunky 24lbs! His little legs just make him the most adorable little fella. His best mate is Amos, and he certainly makes Amos more comfortable with things as Amos is a little on the shy side. They do not have to be adopted together but it would be nice if they were. Amos is only 28lbs and around 18 months old, so they are a very unlikely couple! Both are good with other dogs, can be cat tested on request and are now getting fully vetted so they will be ready for forever homes in November!

Meet Jack B. Nimble! Lazy… lazy… IS THAT FOOD?! Lazy… lazy… let me climb into your lap…WAIT, YOU HAVE TREATS?!Lazy… lazy…Ohhh, a leash?! I LOVE WALKS!And then… you guessed it… back to lazy. That pretty much sums up senior beagle Jack B. Nimble, and honestly, this lovable old hound is pretty darn close to perfect. Available 10/2/26 Jack is a friendly, easygoing love bug who hasn't met a stranger. He happily soaked up all the attention during a recent trip to Tractor Supply, where he was quite proud of himself for charming the cashier out of some treats. Because, if there's one thing Jack takes seriously, it's FOOD. At home, Jack is mostly a professional lounger and snuggler. He'll slowly make his way onto your lap until somehow the entire beagle has taken up residence there. He's calm in the house but still has a little pep in his step and will occasionally play with his canine foster siblings. He's been wonderful with all the dogs in his foster home. Jack is about 99% house trained, doesn't chew things he shouldn't and has been an all-around wonderful houseguest. Just keep an eye on that water intake—when Jack takes one of his big drinks, he'll need a potty break shortly afterward. And while his first love may be the couch—or possibly food—Jack loves his walks! Just remember that there's still a beagle underneath that distinguished senior exterior. His nose can take over, so he may pull on leash when an especially interesting smell demands investigation. He'll also take advantage of an open door or opportunity to follow that nose on an unscheduled adventure, so his family will need to be mindful about keeping him safely contained. If your idea of the perfect companion is a sweet senior hound who wants to eat your snacks, take a leisurely walk, climb into your lap and then spend the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing with you, Jack B.
