Hi, my name is Pete! I’m a 4-year-old Beagle mix weighing 41 pounds, but if you really get to know me, you’ll quickly understand why they call me Sweet Pete! I may be 4 years old, but once I get going, I have a whole lot of energy and act just like a pup! I’m almost completely house trained, but I may need a little patience and encouragement as I continue learning. I came from a not so good situation but I am learning to trust my humans. I just need some time! With lots of positive encouragement, I’m learning that my crate can be a cozy place to sleep. I’m also used to having someone around during the day since one of my humans works from home and was able to let me out regularly. I absolutely love playing with other dogs and would be happy to have some furry friends! Because of my energy and the things I’m still learning, a home with small children may not be the best fit for me. I could also use a little help with my leash manners, but I’m a smart guy and eager to learn! Daisy is a 10 month old beagle puppy. She is still full of puppy energy and needs a lot of activity and stimulation to keep her happy. She will need to be in a home with a confident dog, to teach her manners. She would not be a good fit for a house with smaller dogs or cats, as she loves to chase them. Daisy has had a rough start. Her first owner was deployed overseas. The person that was caring for her afterwards, was unable to care for her properly and she ended up in the shelter. Daisy will need a stable loving family that can give her the time and training she needs to become her best self. Daisy has been with her current foster for a little over 2 weeks. Initially, she was very nervous and shy but has quickly come out of her shell. She loves playing with her toys and her foster brother. She does need to be put in her place when her foster brother has had enough. She loves everyone, including children, once she feels safe around you. Daisy was not housebroken when she came into the rescue but has been making great progress with a consistent schedule. Daisy is distracted when walking on a leash, (she's a beagle, afterall!) a house with a large fenced in back yard and a person or family with breed experience is a must. Daisy will sleep in her crate through the night, as long as long as someone is in the room with her. She is working on crate training through the day, however, isn't too happy about it just yet. Daisy's ideal owner would be the following: Someone with breed experience or experience in "scent hounds". A stable family as she has had too many homes for such a young girl. A securely fenced in back yard, as she is prey driven. An active family that would take her for long walks and help her burn off energy. A home with no small animals. Ideally, a dog about 25-30lbs + for a playmate, would be perfect. A patient owner that would be consistent with continuing her training. ##2842909##

We started out as a litter of six, but our sister Laurel was recently adopted. Now, five of us are still waiting for our forever homes! Our mom, Maple, is a petite 18-pound Beagle mix who took wonderful care of us. Thanks to her, we are all happy, healthy, and thriving. According to our DNA test, we are 54.1% Beagle, 20.6% Shetland Sheepdog, and 8.1% Dachshund, with just a sprinkle of Chihuahua, Poodle and some other breeds mixed in. Since our mom is so small, we expect to stay on the smaller side once fully grown. Meet the crew: Birch (That’s me!): The biggest boy of the bunch, weighing in at 8 pounds at 8 weeks old. I am cuddly, easygoing, and Ash’s best buddy. With my tan coat, I look a bit like a miniature yellow Lab! Joshua: Our goofy, fun "baby brother." He has a sleek build like his momma, but foster mom says she sees a little Sheltie in his expressive eyes and cute little nose. He’s a happy-go-lucky pup who loves playtime just as much as snuggling. We are the sweetest Beagle mix puppies and all ready to fill your home with cuddles, puppy kisses, and endless love!
