Story
Meet Gary — the cutest little survivor with the sweetest soul. This 2-year-old Chihuahua/Beagle mix was found wandering in the middle of a busy rural road, unsure of where to go or who to trust. Thankfully, Gary is now safe and ready to find a forever family that will show him the love he deserves. Gary can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little patience and kindness and he warms up quickly into a loving, loyal companion. Once he feels comfortable, his gentle personality really shines through. He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another confident pup to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. Having a canine buddy makes Gary feel safe and helps bring out his playful, happy side. Gary is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. In return, you’ll get a sweet little best friend who will adore being part of your family. Gary is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, neuter, negative heartworm test and current on prevention. If you are interested in adopting Gary complete the adoption application at the link below. If you have any questions email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog

Story
We adopted Sherlock back in March 2017, he was born December 2016, he is 9 years old. He is the sweetest, loving, gentle, easy going dog. Over the last year he has developed severe skin allergies which has resulted in constant itching and some hair loss. We have tried everything externally that we can, i.e. Lyme dips, medicated shampoos, oatmeal baths, but we now realize that his allergies need to be treated internally in the form of medication. We cannot afford the medicine or even the vet visit to get him well. We want to do what is right for him, even if it means rehoming him so his quality of life can improve.

Story
We got Zeus from a family in our neighborhood. We saw his litter and mama, who was a beagle, and thought he would be a good fit for our son since he would stay small. He quickly grew to be taller than expected and traumatized our son by stomping on our dachshund, who then succonmed to her injuries. My son is autistic and has issues with understanding dangerous situations. Zeus has knocked him over a few times when he elopes into our back yard. Now we can't allow our son to be outside because of Zeus

Story
Introducing a sweet Foxhound mix with a little sprinkle of powdered sugar face ✨ Her name's Charlotte, or Charlie for short, and she's a good, senior girl just looking for her furrever home! Charlotte has some really funny quirks. Her favorite hobbies include toy collecting, couch cuddling, and watching That ‘70s Show like she pays rent. She acts like a puppy with zoomies and her stuffies. She loves to go on walks and is really good on a leash. She really wants her foster brother ( a cat named Eevee) to become her friend but he’s not about it! She would do well in a home with a friendly kitty to be her companion. And, of course, she will almost do anything for a piece of cheese. If you're looking for a silly, sweet senior girl, look no further than Charlie! Apply now to meet sweet Charlotte today! Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Caleb! Caleb is a handsome 18-month-old Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing approximately 14 pounds. This little guy is full of personality, with a sweet temperament and a playful, active spirit that will keep you smiling every day. Caleb does great in a kennel, plays well with other dogs, and appears to be housebroken. One of his cutest features is his adorable little nub tail — and when he gets excited, his entire hind end wiggles with happiness! Caleb has been diagnosed with heartworm infection. Dogs become infected with heartworms through the bite of an infected mosquito, and heartworm disease is unfortunately very common in many parts of the United States. The good news is that dogs with heartworm infection can continue to live happy, high-quality lives while receiving proper care and treatment. Caleb is currently on the slow-kill heartworm treatment protocol, and adopters will receive all necessary medications needed to complete his treatment. He is looking for a caring family willing to give him the love and support he deserves during this process. We believe heartworm-positive dogs have just as much love, joy, and companionship to offer as any other dog — and Caleb is no exception. He is ready to wiggle his way right into your heart and home! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 10+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $200. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.   Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
