Story
Meet Eliza - a gentle, growing soul who is just beginning to discover the world around her. Coming from a hoarding situation, everything is still new to her, and she’s learning step by step what it means to feel safe and cared for. Eliza may not fully understand affection just yet, but she’s making steady, heartwarming progress. She’s started to approach familiar people for polite sniffs and will happily accept a few treats, showing her curiosity and quiet bravery. Each day, she’s building confidence and learning to trust a little more. Eliza would love to meet your dog to see if they are a good match! She lived with multiple dogs previously. Eliza is looking for a patient, understanding home that will celebrate her small victories and give her the time she needs to blossom. Watching her grow and come out of her shell will be a truly rewarding experience.

Story
Darwin was part of a litter that was abandoned by their owners before being rescued. My family and I adopted him when he was 6 weeks old. He was a quiet and timid dog as a puppy; it took a week for him to warm to us enough to leave his crate. Darwin is a loving and friendly boy.

Story
Dolly was rescued from a hoarding situation in Seguine.  She was at term with her pregnancy and was scheduled to be euthanized by Animal Control.   She had her puppies 2 weeks after we got her.  She was very fearful and would not be touched.  over the past three months, she has come a very LONG way towards building a relationship with people.  She is wary of strangers and goes into fight or flight mode.  She is much clmer when she is on a leash with a person she trusts.  She is learning to walk on a leach and to be more comfortable in common areas like on the deck or in the yard.  She was in a house with 40 dogs so she's great with other dogs!   SHe will take time, patience and love, but you can see in her eyes, she is ready to have a real family.  To aplly for Dolly:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57447/generic ##2223925##

Story
It's adorable & adoptable: Fizz. Fizz is a baby beagalier. His mama is a king charles cavalier and his pops was a beagle (according to his DNA test). What this means is that he is pretty much the most adorable thing ever. He is an only baby--which means that he has had unfettered access to the Milk Bar and is spoiled beyond belief. He is sassy, confident and will gnaw on your knuckle while looking at you straight in the eye. That's his knuckle now. He is currently turning 9 weeks old this week. Per CSRA/SA puppy policies, we keep pups his age until they are 10 weeks so that we can make sure he gets at least two rounds of vaccinations, a microchip and plenty of socialization with his mama. We then enter into a Hunger Games type competition to see which family is worthy to take him home (just kidding, but you do need to have an approved application and our Puppy Policies apply--you can read those Puppy Policies here) http://www.austincockerrescue.org/puppy-policies/We adopt to within the State of Texas and do not ship or transport dogs.

Story
Meet Mabry, a gentle, calm, and low-maintenance soul who is slowly learning that the world can be a safe and beautiful place. Mabry is a quiet, watchful observer with a low energy level who loves relaxing on her dog bed, taking peaceful car rides, and staying calm when left alone. While Mabry can be shy around visitors and new situations, the most rewarding part of foster care has been watching her gently blossom, gain confidence, and realizing that humans can be kind. She warms up over time to cats and other dogs, finding comfort in a quiet, predictable environment. Mabry is looking for a patient, experienced home -that can give her the time, space, and gentle encouragement she needs to keep building trust. If you have a peaceful home and a big heart ready to guide a gentle spirit on her journey toward confidence, Mabry will be a deeply rewarding companion.
