Story
Meet APPLE FRITTER! Currently located in AUSTIN TX What could be more perfect than a senior beagle?! Just look at this perfection! At 14 years old, she was surrendered to a high kill shelter after her owner passed away. We rallied to save her, and every volunteer who meets her falls in love. Apple’s foster says she is the perfect girl with so much life in her. She is crate trained, loves people and dogs and cats, and walks lovely on a leash. She loves stuffed toys and doggie buddies. Apple received a thorough work-up at our vet and is in good health given her age. She is hard of hearing but otherwise does not have any major concerns. The vet thinks she has golden years ahead of her!

Story
Meet Benji: Professional Squirrel Monitor & Champion CuddlerBenji is a young, playful, super sweet boy with two main life goals:Keep the backyard 100% squirrel-free, andMake sure he’s never too far from his toys, a cozy napping spot, or his humanHe’s fully house-trained and knows how to be a very good boy at home. In his current foster home, he free-roams like the responsible adult he is. No chewed furniture, no chaos—just good boy vibes. He’s even been left alone for long stretches and handled it like a champ.Benji lives with a male dog and LOVES having a play buddy. When his dog friend isn’t in the mood, Benji has no problem entertaining himself with toys, bones, and solo playtime. When meeting new dogs, he sometimes comes in a little… enthusiastic. Think “Hi!Hi!Hi!Let’sBeBestFriends!” right out of the gate. With proper introductions, he’s thrilled to make doggy friends.Despite his playful energy, Benji takes his beauty rest very seriously and fits naps into his daily schedule like a true professional. He is a HUGE cuddle bug and firmly believes couches and beds exist specifically for snuggling. On work-from-home days, he’ll either quietly entertain himself or snooze right next to your desk as your emotional support coworker.Benji is also a total people-lover. Friends coming over? Best day ever. Male, female, doesn’t matter—Benji is excited to say hello and will quickly wiggle his way into snuggle position on the couch. If you’re looking for a dog who’s playful, affectionate, low-drama at home, and always down to cuddle, Benji is ready to move in and steal your heart (and probably your spot on the couch). Story
Andy is the sweetest most cuddly dog ever! However, she lately has been growling and showing her teeth at our other dogs, only if they come near one of us, or her food. I think she would possibly do best in a home without other dogs. She is 3 years old, healthy (a little overweight), very food motivated, loves to play fetch and frisbee. She is obsessed with her ball! She really is a good, fun, loving girl. It breaks my heart to rehome her. Praying I can find her a loving home, she’s such a loyal dog.

Story
Brutus is a 1- year old large mixed-breed dog. His mother was a beagle mix; father is unknown. He was adopted as a puppy from a rescue. He is great with children, very affectionate, and enjoys being close to people. Once his energy needs are met, he can be calm and cuddly. He is house-trained, Kennel-trained, neutered, and knows basic commands. Brutus is energetic and needs regular exercise and structure. Without enough stimulation, he can become destructive indoors. He has shown aggression toward other dogs, especially male dogs, and would do best as the only pet. Due to limited space, multiple pets, and growing family demands, his current home can no longer meet his needs. Rehoming is to ensure Brutus can thrive.
