Story
My name is Phoebe! I am 2 years old and a ball of energy! I love to play and cuddle and LICK!!! Treats and belly rubs are my favorite! I get a little scared when I’m left alone so if you’re a homebody, you’re the one for me! I might get alittle too excited sometimes and tinkle but I don’t mean to! I love every hooman I’ve ever met so I’m sure we will have no problem getting along! I can’t wait to meet you! Owners story: I love my Phoebe dearly but due to unfortunate circumstances, I’m unable to provide her the care she needs. I’ve recently become a single mom to a 3 year old which in turn, has me working constantly. Phoebe has separation anxiety and she will chew up my daughter’s toys when she’s left alone. So I have to put her in the backyard when I leave the house and I just hate leaving her out all day. I want her to go to a home where she will thrive and receive all the love and care she deserves.

Story
🐾 Meet Bagel (aka Nessie)! 🐾 Bagel is about two years old and weighs a whopping 16 pounds of pure sweetness. We rescued her as a beagle mix, but now that we’ve met her, we’re… not sure about that, ha! Whatever she is, she’s earned her spot as an honorary beagle. This petite girl was found dumped, but a kind-hearted Good Samaritan took her in until Hound Rescue could help. She’s playful, puppy-like, and loves other dogs — but she’s still figuring out the indoor life. Vacuums, dishwashers, ceiling fans… all very suspicious if you ask her. Her foster mom describes her as “a little awkward, nervous monkey — but a total kiss monster.” Everything inside the house is new and a bit scary, so she tends to run straight to her foster mom’s ankles for reassurance. 💕 She’s also earned herself a nickname: Nessie, thanks to her adorably long neck (and yes, her foster mom may or may not speak to her in a Scottish accent).

Story
Meet Abby — the easiest beagle in history. At eight years old, Abby has transformed during her time in our care, losing over 10 pounds and now weighing 39lbs! She’s as low-maintenance as they come — perfectly content to lounge on a dog bed or tuck herself into her crate for a good nap. Abby’s favorite things? Carrots, snap peas, apples… and quietly watching you with her big, beautiful brown eyes. She’s curious when visitors come by and always happy to accept a little affection. Don’t let her calm nature fool you — she’s got a playful side too. In true beagle fashion, she enjoys a little backyard “critter hunt” and recently stole the hearts of everyone at a local winery. Abby takes a simple daily thyroid medication that’s inexpensive and easy to manage. She’s ready to bring peace, charm, and a little more love into her forever home.

Story
Vinny (short for Vincent) is a 6 month-old hound mix who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. He’s only 18 pounds, heartworm-negative, neutered, and ready for his forever home. This handsome little guy loves apples and bananas, sleeps perfectly in his crate at night, and is still working on potty training. Vinny is shy and a little fearful — he’s clearly been betrayed before — but he’s sweet as can be and loves to sit quietly by your feet. He’s not aggressive at all and does beautifully with other dogs. Vinny looks up to his foster brother Zig and follows him everywhere. After a few days, he finally got brave enough to hang out in the living room with his foster mom — a huge step for this gentle soul. He’s a truly beautiful boy, wearing what looks like three white socks and one white boot. His perfect adopter will be someone patient, kind, and willing to show him that he’s safe and loved for good. Vinny came to us from a shelter where he was at risk after being found as a stray and never claimed. He’s now part of the Hound Rescue family — and we can’t wait to help him find his own.

These pups are in Leander, Texas too!

Story
You gotta love this senior!! - SUNNY SIDES got her name as she is so positive and happy despite her ordeal. This hound mix is bursting with love despite her previous living conditions. Sunny side was found tied to a fence and had a bladder full of stones. She has had the necessary surgery to remove the stones and recovered well. She is on a prescription urinary diet, but no longer suffers from bladder incontinence and takes no other medications. She is nearing 13 years old, around 25 lbs, is fully house broken and manages to get those stubby little legs through the dog door. She would love nothing more than to be your best friend. She loves milling around the neighborhood investigating scent trails. Sunny Sides walks very leisurely on a leash, but she is vocal when she sees other dogs. She is a hound after all! She is passionate about being by her human’s side for a good long snuggle. Sunny Sides gets along with other dogs in her foster home and is up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm prevention medication. We pray hard that she won't be in foster care for very much longer. She's been with us for at least 6 months. Please give this senior the love and security she deserves for the rest of her life. Her adoption fee is $250 and includes the vet exam, vaccinations, rabies and tick prevention, microchip, heartworm test and preventatives.
