**THIS DOG IS NOT IN THE DIRECT CARE OF HAPPY TAILS HAPPY HOMES - We are simply assisting his current owner with rehoming him. If you are interested in Titus, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform** Meet Titus — A Loyal, Well-Mannered Guardian Looking for a Quiet Home Titus is a 7–8 year old Pit Bull/Beagle mix with a beautiful brown coat and an incredibly loyal heart. He’s very obedient, kennel trained, and fully housebroken. Titus has been raised with children from infancy through age 12 and has always been a loving, protective companion. However, as he’s gotten older, he prefers a calmer environment, so he’s looking for a home with no children. Titus can be wary of new people at first, but once he warms up, he’s very affectionate and devoted. He has lived with a variety of animals—including female dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even puppies—and has done well with them. He does need to be the only male dog in the home. A natural guard dog, Titus takes his job seriously and will always alert you when someone unfamiliar is approaching. Because of his protective nature and preference for routine, he’ll thrive best with a patient, experienced handler who understands his personality. Titus is not neutered. His need for a new home is through no fault of his own—his family experienced a house flood and had to move somewhere with landlord restrictions that unfortunately do not allow him. Titus is truly a wonderful dog with so much loyalty and love to give. He just needs the right, peaceful home where he can feel safe and continue being the incredible companion he’s always been.

***This dog is NOT in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes rescue. Rather, his current owner needs to find him a new home at no fault of his own. If you are interested in Ben, please fill out an application here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform *** Meet Ben 🐾 Ben is a sweet, lovable Beagle with a gentle soul who thrives in a calm, relaxed environment. At nearly four years old, he’s the perfect mix of adventure buddy and laid-back couch companion. Ben has low to medium energy—he loves his daily walks or hikes, but once he’s had his exercise, he’s more than happy to spend the rest of the day lounging around the house, especially if there’s a sunny spot to stretch out in. Ben is crate trained, house trained, and very well behaved in the home—he doesn’t chew or destroy things. He knows his basic commands and walks like a champ on leash. One of his favorite activities is splashing around in a creek, and he’ll happily play tug-of-war with a big stick during outdoor adventures. He’s also very food motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Ben forms strong bonds with his people and loves affection, cuddles, and lots of pets. Because he values a peaceful environment, he would do best in a home with a consistent routine and lower household traffic. Frequent visitors, loud voices, and high-energy children can make him uncomfortable, so patient introductions to new people are important. He is especially sensitive about being touched around his lower back and hindquarters. He does well with children as long as they are respectful of his space and aren't too active or hyper. Outside the home, Ben generally does well with people and tends to ignore other dogs, though he prefers they don’t approach him too closely while he’s on leash. Ben would thrive with an individual or family who enjoys daily walks, appreciates quiet companionship, and is willing to give him the patience and stability he needs to feel secure. In return, he’ll offer loyal companionship, plenty of snuggles, and a sweet presence that makes a house feel like home. If Ben sounds like he could be your next buddy, please fill out an application at: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform

Story
Meet Butterscotch Pie💛a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. She’s about 3 years old, and our best guess is a beagle/lab mix, but what we know for sure is that she’s 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and is overflowing with affection. She loves being right next to her humans and is a bit of a Velcro dog, following you around, settling close by, and soaking up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she will dramatically plop right over for them), and booty scratches are a close second! She arches her back and leans into them like a pro. She’s also happy to jump up for affection and will gladly tolerate being scooped up when needed. Watch Butterscotch Pie’s video here to see her belly and booty get all the scratches! https://youtu.be/NniJiyLua5E?si=47eE1EB3aa7_FlzA On leash, Butterscotch is a pretty easy walk. She’s responsive, checks in quickly, and doesn’t need much guidance, just gentle handling and calm movements, as she can flinch with sudden leash motions. She’s eager to please and enjoys going out with her people. With dogs, Butterscotch is currently more polite than playful. She can be a bit insecure at first, especially with higher-energy or pushy dogs, but she communicates clearly and appropriately when she needs space. She’s done best with calmer, respectful dogs and would be happiest with a low to medium-energy dog sibling who matches her vibe. With time and confidence, she may become more playful, but right now she prefers relaxed companionship and roaming together over roughhousing. Cats are a no for Butterscotch — they’re just a little too interesting for her. Butterscotch absolutely nailed her kid test! She was incredibly calm, gentle, and loving with the kiddos—showering them with sweet face kisses, happily sitting in their laps, and soaking up every bit of attention. Her favorite move? Flopping right over for belly rubs any chance she got and very politely demanding more the second you stopped. She was relaxed, affectionate, and completely comfortable, showing just how much she enjoys being around children. With her sweet nature and family-friendly heart, Butterscotch would make an amazing family dog who’s ready to love her people with her whole soul. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment. She may need a short adjustment period to fully settle in, but once she does, she blossoms into a loving, loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be near her people. If you’re looking for a wrinkly, cuddly, booty-scratch-loving best friend who will stick by your side and fill your days with sweetness, Butterscotch is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! ❤️ Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
