Story
Meet Scout! He is super sweet and “scouts” for pets and kisses. He is as quiet as a mouse, and a super gentle soul. He loves to be by your side and is very friendly with everyone. He is about 3 years old and weighs 40 pounds. He is a happy tail wagging boy!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 3, 2023, 4:51 am

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cooper - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Oh do we have the puppy cuteness overload going on here!! These adorable siblings have got 'the' boxes checked!!! Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! Cooper is famous! The dog in the movie, The Fox and the Hound, was named after him. Oh wait a minute, I guess the movie was way before he was born so Cooper was named after the pup in the movie. Oh well, either way Cooper is a happy boy waiting to embark on his journey to a loving fur-ever home!! Cooper is about 5 months old and can be a tad bashful upon first meet. But as with your typical puppy it only takes him a NY second (not even the whole minute) to warm up and show his true silly personality. A little bit sassy, a little bit sweet and a whole lot of cuddly. At his current weight we think he should be around the 30ish lb range when he gets fully grown up. What a great size for well...everything. Big enough for any activities and adventures you might want to go on but small enough to make sure there is lots of room on the couch for you. He wants to make sure he doesn't miss out on any of his cuddle time! He does great with people tall or small and the other foster pups here at the rescue. He would be beside himself if he was to get a family with a playful sibling (2 or 4 legged variety) that he could have a blast in the yard anytime or all the time!! At his young age, even tho he hasn't met a cat yet, if introduced properly he should do great with them too. Cooper will need lots of exercise and playtime to help keep his puppy shenanigans at a minimal but with that in he should do great in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. With his short sleek shiny coat he is low maintenance in the grooming department making him more of a wash-n-to type of fella. And you DO know what that means don't you?!! Yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil him rotten' department!! Sweet and sassy, playful and snuggly, add in that cutest lil face and you've got a fabulous family member just waiting to happen! He just needs YOU to help him get that last box checked!!! These adorable lil siblings includes - Luna, Miley and Cooper

Story
Hello!I'm Coco. I am a big puppy who loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. I'm super submissive - so even the little dogs get to boss me around. I just want to be friends with everyone. I've not seen a lot of cats - so I'm not sure if we would get along. I'm still learning my manners - like how not to jump on my foster mom when I'm so excited to see her. She is teaching me to walk better on a leash, to sit for my food, and to sit before we go through doors. It's hard because I get so excited to go for walks, to the beach, and to play with my friends -- but I know with practice I'll get it.I don't bark a lot - but I do try to tell my foster mom all about my playmates in doggy day care when we are driving home. I bark when people come to the door but mostly because I like meeting new people to see if they would like to play with me.I'm learning how to ride in the car without getting sick. The main thing is no treats for me before a car ride. A light meal is okay - a few hours before. I have actually improved a lot so maybe I'll get over it.Because I am so sociable, I do great in doggy day care and I do great with other dogs especially if they like to play. So if you think you might like to adopt me, please click on the Apply to Adopt button and let's get things started.Love,Coco To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Casey is a mellow and easy-going older gentleman who just wants to be near his humans. He likes everyone, people and dogs - minding his own business when we walk past other dogs with just the occasional sniff. He hasn't met any cats, however, given that he came in with other critters and his calm nature, he would likely be ok with them. This handsome fellow is very food motivated - he loves the snuffle mat and a peanut butter filled Kong. Casey likes his walks and is fine with just one a day given his age. But he's energetic when we do walk, and he's got a spring in his step! He even learned how to use the doggie door after being shown just a few times. Casey is mobile and can go up and down carpeted stairs, though for those with non-carpeted stairs, some traction would be required. He may have some hearing loss, but it hasn't affected his ability to live his life to the fullest nor his foster parent's ability to care for him. This sweet guy deserves all the best and wants to retire in style!Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process.
