The transport date is still to be determined and will depend on how many dogs receive fosters or adopters. A committed home is required for Cooper to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there for him. Meet Cooper Cooper is a little Beagle mix with a big heart. This sweet 7-year-old boy is ready for a fresh start and a loving home of his own. Cooper came to the shelter after getting a little too adventurous and finding himself lost one too many times. His previous owners ultimately surrendered him, and now he is looking forward to beginning his next chapter with a family who will love him forever. His previous owners shared that Cooper is great with other dogs, but is intimidated by cats. He arrived underweight and with some non-contagious skin issues, but with a little TLC, he is already on the path to feeling much better. Cooper is as easygoing as they come. He is great on leash, easy to handle, and already knows how to sit on command. He takes treats gently from your hand and greets everyone with sweet tail-wagging enthusiasm. While he enjoys affection and attention, he is also perfectly content doing his own thing and relaxing nearby. With a low to medium energy level, Cooper would fit beautifully into a calm and relaxed home. He is not especially interested in toys, but more than makes up for it with his gentle companionship and steady presence. Because of Cooper’s history of being a little too adventurous and getting lost, we recommend his future adopter have a securely fenced yard to help keep him safe. If you are looking for a sweet, mellow dog with a loving personality, Cooper could be your perfect match. Age: 7 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 28 lbs Breed: Beagle/Lab Mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Likely yes Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Intimidated by cats Good with Kids: Not tested, likely good Cooper is ready to keep moving forward and would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen. If you are able to foster or adopt, please apply today. www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, and heart worm prevention (age appropriate). Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too! **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

Story
This is Oakley. Oakley was a rescue dog from the Humane Society that was brought to Milwaukee from Georgia. Due to coming from the Humane Society, we aren’t 100% sure of his age. He was 9 months when we adopted him back in 2019 my guess is anywhere between 8-9 years old. Oakley is such a sweet, loving, caring and fun dog. He loves to play, go on walks, explore and just be outdoors. He prefers to be outdoors then indoors (unless it’s raining or too cold) he currently has his own little heated dog house outside and prefers it that way. He loves to have fun especially if you have kids. I have 3 and he enjoys playing with them and chasing them outside during the nice weather. He enjoys going to the dog park as well. He loves the snow! If you’re out shoveling he will enjoy being in the present with you. He truly is an amazing fun and happy dog that enjoys company. He is in need of a loving home that can give him more attention than what he currently is having with our busy schedules.

Story
This sweet little bundle of joy is approximately 9 weeks old and 5 lbs of pure personality. Ana may be tiny, but her spirit is BIG! She’s spunky, feisty, snuggly, playful, and incredibly smart. This clever girl is making great progress with potty training – she understands to go when she’s outside but hasn’t quite figured out how to ask to go out yet. Patience and encouragement will help her master this in no time. Ana is a total cuddle bug and a classic velcro dog – always wanting to be near her people. She sleeps well through the night and plays nicely with other dogs. She’s still learning how to walk on a leash but is giving it her all. And when she’s not getting her way? You might hear a little sassy bark! Ana will likely grow into a medium-sized dog with a big heart and even bigger personality. She would thrive in an active, loving home with patient humans who are excited to continue her training, play with her, and snuggle her close. If you’re looking for a fun, adaptable, and endlessly entertaining pup to join your family, Ana might just be your perfect match! Transport is an additional $185. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
