Story
Dave is Australian Shepherd mixed with I-don’t-know-for sure. His momma dog is a pure Australian Shepherd, and papa dog was a “rolling stone” who may have been some sort of medium sized shepherd dog. I really cannot tell his breed for sure (maybe some Beauceron in him because of his coloring), but he’s among the most socialized, cutest, sweetest, most robust little monkeys I have fostered in my over 20 years doing rescue! Dave has been loved, healthy, and handled since he was born – he is already extremely social. As the pictures show, he is wonderful with children. He is also great with all the other dogs and kitties, and even with farm animals. My guess is that he will grow up to be a medium sized dog. He is only 4 ½ months old, already house trained and crate trained, fully vaccinated, great with kitties and other dogs, wonderful with children, and he loves all adults- bother men and women equally. Dave is very smart, affectionate, mellow, loving, quiet, playful, and goofy. He is a perky, attentive, alert, happy, and clever little doll. There’s not a lot I can say about puppies other than I think he will make the best companion dog you’ve ever met because he is great with kids and very friendly! Dave is truly delightful -- darling, happy, and silly He is spunky and full of love and puppy kisses. Of course, his adoption covers his neuter, all his baby shots (3 DA2PPv’s), his Bordatella inoculation (for kennel cough), and his rabies shot. He is a healthy little doll face, and I have his medical records for his new forever family. I am a firm believer is having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. -We always take our rascals back if it isn’t a good fit. Please call 858-602-2061 or email findabesbuddy@gmail.com for more information about our wonderful foster buddies!

These pups are in Oceanside, California too!

Story
This is a courtesy listing, not a SPOT Rescue dog. For more information regarding Baby Girl, contact Sans below... BABY GIRL needs a real home. She loves people, needs careful introduction to dogs and does not like cats. She has *Megaesophagus (ME) which has been easily managed. We are looking for a forever home with a person(s) that can give extra time to feeding and understand working breeds need more exercise and mental stimulus/enrichment.  FROM FOSTER: Baby Girl (BG) was received 2-5-25. Owners surrendered BG to foster to avoid euthanasia with San Diego Humane Society where they had adopted BG a year ago, spring 2024. They had a new baby 7-2025, work fulltime out of the house and were not successful with proper feeding. BG was slowly starving to death. After owner’s unsuccessful efforts to rehome Baby Girl, they took her back to Humane Society and were told surrendering would result in same day euthanasia, so foster took over to keep BG alive and rehabilitate. ● Dog’s name & location (City/State): Baby Girl / Carlsbad, CA.● DNA test results: Doberman Pinscher 55%, Belgian Malinois 25%, Dutch Shepherd 20%.● Birth Date: 10-14-23.● Baby Girl received underweight, 27lbs on 2-5-25. Now, 44lbs as of 4-25-25, vet wants to see her at 60lbs once fully grown.● Foster’s name and contact:Sans Hartzell, 760-519-4006, SansHartzell@gmail.com, https://www.facebook.com/sans.hartzell/Need of forever home: as soon as possible. She is now at a healthy weight. ● Spayed 1-21-24.● Microchip company went out of business, so chip needs to be reassigned to a new company.● Up to date on vaccinations, no medications except flea medication. Full medical records available.● ME diagnosed: San Diego Humane Society, Veterinary Specialty Hospital shows imagining 2-11-24.● Meals in Baily Chair: Kirkland salmon and sweet potato. 1 cup kibble soaked with 1 cup water for a couple hours in advance, per feeding, 4 times per day. Expected to drop feeding frequency to 2 times a day once at 50lbs. She is fine eating small amounts of raw carrots, veggies or greenies for snacks.● Stays in Baily Chair just a few minutes after eating. Eating is her challenge, which requires someone standing by to assist with burping, possibly massaging throat or letting her out of chair to dash outside to regurgitate if food gets stuck. Regurgitation happens infrequently but during the actual feeding and not randomly like many ME dogs. Items that will go to new owner:● Baily Chair with bowl and slow feed insert.● Wire kennel with 3-sided bolster bed.● Small blender, all medical records. Exercise preferred:● Loves walks but dog reactive. High energy pup, loves spending hours in the backyard running at high speed, plays very hard and needs to work on bite inhibition with play partners. My dog is twice her weight at 90 lbs and BG is sometimes too hard on him.● Housebroken but working on not peeing in her kennel if in longer than 4 hours (a hold over habit from a small puppy bladder and too long of kennel periods).● Sleeps 8 hours at night before needing to go out and will notify you by a whimper from her kennel or licking you if not in her kennel.● Crate trained but separation anxiety with barking if she is in kennel and you are leaving. We are working on reducing the barking with treat training for being quiet. Will not ship dog. Local meet and home inspection required. *Megaesophagus in dogs is a condition where the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach, becomes enlarged and weakened. This enlargement and weakening prevent the esophagus from properly pushing food into the stomach, leading to regurgitation (food coming back up without vomiting) and potential aspiration pneumonia. Eating in an upright position assists food getting to and staying in the stomach. Story
How this pet arrived: Nebula was brought in by a community member on July 14, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Nebula - a tail-wagging little supernova ready to shine! This out-of-this-world pup is a star in the making. With a waggy tail, bright eyes and a curious spirit, Nebula brings a little sparkle wherever she goes. She may still need a refresher on some of her dog manners, but she's eager to learn, especially if it means she gets to soak up some praise (and maybe a few treats). Nebula does have an old injury to her right wrist, but don't worry - she's not letting gravity slow her down. She's still got pep in her step and joy in her stride, exploring the world with enthusiasm and charm. Her ideal home would be one that can appreciate her shining personality and give her the time and support to keep growing into the stellar companion she's destined to be. While Nebula is all heart with her humans, she does have a bit of dog reactivity and may thrive best as the only dog in the home. She's looking for a family that can give her a calm environment, consistent routine and lots of love. If you're searching for a bright, loving pup to bring into your galaxy, look no further - Nebula is ready for launch! At SDHS:Nebula has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 67.2 Age: 3yrs 10mths 3wks

Story
How Zeus and Iris arrived:Zeus and Iris were brought in by their previous owner on November 15, 2025. Why Zeus and Iris are the ones for you:Meet Zeus & Iris - the dynamic duo with hearts of gold and superpowers to match! If you're hunting for double the love and double the fun, look no further. Zeus and Iris are bonded besties who bring charm, silliness, and a whole lot of sweetness everywhere they go. These two have done well around other dogs (though tiny ones might not be their favorite), and they've even lived with a cat like total champs. Baths? They'll tolerate them with dramatic sighs. Nail trims? Hard pass. Absolutely not. They might bark at strangers strolling by, but once they actually meet someone, they warm up fast and turn on the charm. They're used to a doggy door, so they may need a little refresher on potty routines in a new home. They've been around kids too, though we're not sure what sizes of tiny humans they've met. A special note about Zeus: He's had seizures since he was a puppy-reportedly just a couple a year. But here's where the magic comes in: Iris alerts to them. Yes, she's not only his best friend, she's his built-in support system, and she takes her role seriously. Their bond is truly something special. If you're ready to welcome two lovable goofballs with an extra dose of heart, Zeus and Iris are ready to make your home their next adventure. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 66.4 Age: 9yrs 5mths 3wks
