Story
Rocky is a Rottweiler Mix, his estimated date of birth is 2/7/12 and he weighs 75 lbs. He is up to date on all of his shots and he is fixed. Rocky is OK with people but is not good with kids, cats, or small dogs. Rocky has a habit of jumping and he has a tendency to try to escape so he would need a home that was very secure. Rocky has food aggression and is very possessive of toys and people. He can sometimes have an over protective drive to certain people.  Rocky can be very vocal and would require a home with a lot of space as Rocky prefers to roam and would become destructive if restricted in a small space. Rocky is not good with new people or places and can be aggressive to other male dogs. He requires regular grooming and requires a special diet. Rocky is afraid of water and can become agitated by running water or large areas of water. He has a habit of dumping out his water dish. Rocky is not good on a leash despite repeated training and still has issues with house training and marking. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. Story
How this pet arrived: Suavecito was brought in by a community member on November 4, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Suavecito is a gentle boy whose name says it all - he's smooth, soft-hearted, and full of quiet charm. Although he can be a bit timid at first, once he feels safe his affectionate personality truly shines. As we've gotten to know him, we've learned that he walks nicely with a harness, will sit politely for treats, and absolutely loves scratches, often thanking you with sweet kisses. He also has a playful side and gets zoomies when he's feeling comfortable and happy. Suavecito recently had a mass removed from his leg, so his new family should plan to keep up with vet checkups to monitor his future care. With a calm environment and a little reassurance, Suavecito is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion! Come meet this handsome boy and let him melt your heart - one soft wag at a time! At SDHS: Suavecito has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Suavecito is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Tri Color Weight: 61 Age: 4yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet Thelma and Louise! They are in the Los Angeles, CA area and these girls are a bonded pair. Mom and daughter are about 3 and 5 years old. They are Doberman Dachshund mixes and about 35 pounds. While Thelma is laid back but very attentive, intuitive and intelligent, Louise is a true free spirit with a heart of gold. She can be very goofy and fun once she is comfortable with you. Her adorable big smile often ends in a big yawn when you cuddle with her or rub her belly. The girls love to snooze in the sun and walk at the beach. They also enjoy sitting with you in your favorite restaurant or cafe. Their new best friend is a big teddy bear who might sometimes travel with them on a walk or relax with them at the pool. The girls love to follow you around whether you are gardening or cooking and their favorite thing to do is to watch movies in bed with a tasty snack. Thelma and Louise have had a really rough start in life and they are now looking for that amazing mom or dad that will welcome them into a cozy home, where they will get all the love, care and attention they never had but truly deserve! Although they are great with cats and dogs we feel they would do best in a home as the only pets. See a cute video of the girls playing together here: https://youtube.com/shorts/f-jkjqH7-cc?si=PSdnHPH2DaQ3oO-u To meet and adopt Thelma and Louise, contact Diana at: dianagrayfoundation@aol.com

Story
Brixton is an adventurous, fun, affectionate and a follow-you-everywhere kind of dog. He's very athletic and would make a great runner or outdoorsy companion. Brixton is really good at fetch and he will bring whatever you throw right back and put it in your hand! He can ride on a Seadoo and in an off-road vehicle! He loves to go on long car rides and hikes too. He's smart, fast and strong but will cuddle up like a big baby. He knows most commands such as sit, stay, wait, come etc. but could use a little more leash training. He loves people and can be super playful with other dogs but can be dominant with some. He's protective as well and will make a good watchdog. However, he's not fond of small dogs or cats. This is not a stay at home all day by himself kind of dog. Brixton needs to be with someone that is active and is looking for an athletic companion. Other than needing a little leash training he's a magnificent dog!
