Story
Rocky is a Rottweiler Mix, his estimated date of birth is 2/7/12 and he weighs 75 lbs. He is up to date on all of his shots and he is fixed. Rocky is OK with people but is not good with kids, cats, or small dogs. Rocky has a habit of jumping and he has a tendency to try to escape so he would need a home that was very secure. Rocky has food aggression and is very possessive of toys and people. He can sometimes have an over protective drive to certain people.  Rocky can be very vocal and would require a home with a lot of space as Rocky prefers to roam and would become destructive if restricted in a small space. Rocky is not good with new people or places and can be aggressive to other male dogs. He requires regular grooming and requires a special diet. Rocky is afraid of water and can become agitated by running water or large areas of water. He has a habit of dumping out his water dish. Rocky is not good on a leash despite repeated training and still has issues with house training and marking.We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. Penelope is the softest cuddle bug and sweetest work from home companion. Her prior owner was forced to give her up due to financial and health issues, so I am fostering her until she can be placed in her new forever home. She currently lives with other dogs and two small children with no issues other than a somewhat unhealthy attachment to myself….she doesn’t want to leave my side and gets anxious when I leave the house, so I think an ideal home for her would be somewhere where she can spend most of her time inside with her human and she’ll adore you nonstop. Trained to sit and give her paw. Does ok on a special leash, but still pulls a bit. No potty accidents or furniture destruction or barking unless someone knocks on the door. Calm demeanor and loves to sleep on her bed at home and kind of wander around to check on everyone and get pets. Gets excited when it is time to go for a walk. Plays well with our other 2 boxers. Loves car rides. Snores.

Story
We got Raymundo when he was 3 months old through ARE Animal Rescue and is now 3 years old. Raymundo has been such a wonderful boy and we have taken him to professional training to make him easier to manage. He is a very active dog and would need some walking every day. He loves hikes and spending lots of cuddle time. He does have allergies so we do feed him prescription food; however, we believe he may be able to transition off the prescription food and try out healthy alternatives. Unfortunately, my wife and I are going through a divorce and cannot figure out a path forward but are looking for a loving home for him.
