Story
Eva is a 4 year old spayed female belgian malinois who weighs 55 pounds. She is a typical Malinois that bonds to her human, but she is on the calmer side. Eva has tested well with other dogs, keeps her kennel clean and is a sweet girl. She would love a human that would center their attention on just her! Eva is crate trained, walks well on a leash and we know that her perfect person is out there. She has started learning commands, loves going for walks and she gets so excited to see her people. Story
Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Dodger is a happy and excited boy who loves to wag his tail and makes lots of noise, just like his sister! He has a ton of energy to spare and wants to use it running around, playing fetch, or going on long walks. He'll need lots of activity and would be great with another active dog and active kids :) Dodger is a very sweet and polite boy also who loves to cuddle on the couch or bed, or sit down right next to you. Some basic information about Dodger; he is male, Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, and is large-sized (60-99lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
We've all heard of Roman Numerals, and our boy Roman here is definitely numeral I! Roman is a Belgian Malinois who was found running free in Philly. He was brought to the city's only open intake shelter and has made so many friends, with humans and dogs alike! He is now looking for a breed experienced owner to pick him up and give him the active structured life he deserves! Roman is available for foster and adoption at ACCT Philly. You can meet him any day from 10:00am-6:00pm. Interested fosters should email foster@acctphilly.org. Video: Roman and Cheeto: https://youtu.be/x2rn-IZOfD4 Sage and Roman: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/QlnagE2-AZc?feature=share Roman loves cuddles: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jJVF5-oLw-U?feature=share Behavioral: Per Volunteer 3/3/24: Super well behaved boy for me today! Allowed leashing nicely and walks pretty well with minimal pulling. He takes treats super gently, and showed me sit for them. He had a great dog meet with Sage, very polite even when she was all up in his business. Took him out for the photoshoot and he did well meeting multiple people in a loud environment. Responded very well to squeaks and whistles. Sweet boy, accepted handling all over! Per Staff 2/27/24: Roman would come when called and would lean and rub his body against you, almost flipping himself over. He allowed all over petting and handling with no issues. He also got a dog meet during his eval and did very well. He greets with a stiff body, high ears, and a mid to high wagging tail, but tries to initiate play quickly. He did continuously try to mount, so a dog that doesn't mind the mounting would be an ideal playmate for him. Per Staff 2/26/24: Very happy and playful. Roman seems to like everyone he meets! ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly's Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

These pups are in Elkton, Maryland too!

Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 April 26, 2024, 10:48 am
