🐾 Meet Aurelia – The Golden Girl 🐾 Aurelia truly lives up to the meaning of her name… “the golden one.” ✨ With her beautiful coat, bright eyes, and radiant personality, she brings warmth and light everywhere she goes. This sweet girl was found on a ranch alongside a variety of unaltered dogs, so while we can’t say for certain what her breed mix is, our best guess is German Shepherd, Malinois, and possibly Great Pyrenees. One thing we do know… she is absolutely adorable and full of potential. Aurelia is approximately 3.5 months old and already doing great with crate training. She’s a smart, curious puppy who is taking in the world around her and learning quickly. With the right home, guidance, and love, she is going to grow into an incredible companion. She has that perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweetness that makes you fall in love instantly. Whether she’s exploring, playing, or just looking up at you with those soulful eyes, Aurelia is sure to steal your heart. 💛 Aurelia is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. 💲 $250 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) 🚐 $550 Out of State Adoption Fee (includes transport to your area) If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and truly special pup, Aurelia is ready to shine in her forever home. 🐶✨

Story
Coco (Coco Beans) is a very good girl who deserve a great life, ● Belgian Shepherd or Malinois mix? ● 75 lbs of pure love and joy; affectionate, smart, independent, goofy, and devoted ● 18 months old, spayed, all shots, microchipped, housebroken, crate trained ● Bonded w/ sister who also needs a forever home ● Intelligent, fast learner + attentive, food motivated, and eager to please = lots of training potential ● Show absolutely no food aggression or resource guarding ● Have been ok with my dog-afraid cats These sisters were found as <12 week old puppies living together, without their mother, in the streets in the Caribbean. Despite starving, they each usually wore (and still wear) the closest thing to a smile with dimples I’ve ever seen on a dog’s face. Those smiles charmed a whole neighborhood into working to keep them fed and alive in their first few months, until they were rescued & brought to the States in April of 2025 as fosters. Willing to travel to find the right home.

Story
Meet Shep! Shep is a beautiful est. 5 year old shepherd who is full of nothing but love and joy despite her past. She is currently in foster working on her training, and is growing wonderfully in it. She walks nicely on a leash and is working on getting 'heel' down! She knows 'sit', 'down', and is working on 'place'. Shep also is crate and potty trained! Shep has not shown reactivity towards dogs, but would do best in a home without small animals due to her prey drive. She is an incredibly happy girl, so happy that Shep suffers from "happy tail", a condition where dogs wag their tail so much against themselves or objects they make it bleed. Her tail has been regularly wrapped with bandage and that is working well! Shep is intense in all the best ways. Intensely smart, loving, beautiful, and loyal. Anybody would be lucky to add her to their family, and we knowhers is out there! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 56.4 Age: 5yrs 2mths 4wks

Story
The Melder!MEET FLASH!    Don’t miss out on this gem of a dog! Around a year old, spayed, house broken, and crate trained. Flash is a designer mutt, with some possible combination of Belgian Malinois (maybe!), shepherd (maybe!), Kelpie (maybe!), and a pinch of pit (maybe!). The rest is anyone’s guess. She’s about 48 pounds, though a bit underweight from her time on the street. Yes, that’s right, Flash was found living in the wilds of Frederick, MD, fending for herself until she was taken in by Tara’s House.   Flash is super loving and quickly bonds to her people. She’s been great with kids and adults alike. She does take a few minutes to warm up to new people, but a few well-placed treats do the trick. We call her The Melder, because if it were up to her, she would cozy up to you and meld herself to you! You bend down to give some pets and pretty soon you’re on the floor with a dog in your lap, which is about the greatest thing ever.   Flash is the perfect age–past the shark-puppy phase, but young enough to be super goofy. She tosses balls for herself and has short puppy fits running up and down stairs and parkouring that will have you rolling on the floor laughing at her antics. Her coat is short and silky soft. She doesn’t shed a whole lot. Flash is athletic and can clear 4' fences...but she seems only interested in escaping if one of her people is on the other side of that fence. Despite being athletic and somewhat high energy, Flash does just fine with moderate walks and activity.   She has done great with another dog in the house–she plays hard and loves to wrestle. She walks well on a leash and with another dog. She doesn’t pull aggressively, but she does get distracted by squirrels (so suspicious!) and dogs down the block (Do they want to play? Do they? Do they?) and will need a little urging to move along. If you keep a brisk pace, she matches it well.  Anyone considering Flash for their pack should expect to do some consistent training to get her all the way to Perfect Pup status. But it won’t take long, because Flash is very smart, picks up cues easily, and is motivated by treats.   Flash’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.April 13, 2026, 10:51 am
