We got Freya 5 years ago from a puppy farm in PA. She is 5 years old her birthday is March 3rd. We unfortunately have to rehome my sweet girl because my wife and I just had a baby, and Freya does not like him. We have sent her away for behavioral training for 4 weeks, and she still does not like the baby. We have contacted many trainers, and Vets about trying to keep her but the end result is she just doesn't like children. Freya is very smart, learns really fast, and needs to be kept busy. She is crate trained, e-collar, and leash trained. She plays fetch, loves to track hidden treats. She needs a place to run, and someone that can work her, things to keep her mind busy. She is mostly Malinois so cannot be left alone for long periods of time they destroy things when bored.

Nyx has won all of our our hearts here at HSWC. She is a beautiful girl with a great personality. She was seized by Animal Control for poor conditions. She had to wait for the case to come through the courts taking 9 months.She came in with 2 other dogs. She was placed in a foster home but has been returned to HSWC due to improper handling of her chore activities. So now the quest begins to find the right home for this beautiful Malenois. Like most herding breeds, Malinois have a high prey drive and are strongly interested in moving objects. This trait can lead to chasing children, vehicles, or other animals and so should be directed into acceptable activities through training. She is smart, confident, and versatile. The Belgian Malinois breed is a world-class worker who forges an unbreakable bond with his human partner. To deny a Mal activity and the pleasure of your company is to deprive her of her very reasons for being.Rhea is very interested in other dogs and cats. She is highly excitable around young active children and should go to home with no children.She has not yet been taught how to manage her excitement. She is very smart and willing to learn. The transition into her new home should follow the two week shut down process closely to give her a very slow instruction to the routine of her new family. She is going to be a wonderful addition to an active family. Meet and greets will be required with other dogs. Please consider if her high energy will be compatible with your dog's energy to maintain peace in your home.
