Story
Great disposition! Very friendly, dog friendly, and easy to vet. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
This is Goose. He is a sweet boy about a year and a half old. He is curious, playful, loving and gentle. We love him very much but are not able to be home and available enough for him, as well as moving into a smaller home and losing a yard for him. It breaks our heart but we want what is best for him and will wait to find the right fit. I never expected a German Shepherd to be as gentle as he is. He is so very loving and loyal and gets along well with other dogs and children. I have never had him around cats or other animals but have no reason to believe it would be an issue. He loves car rides, cuddles, walks, the water, and being outside.
