Story
Meet Bonneville, a spirited young German Shepherd who is ready to find his fast track to a forever home! This clever boy is a natural at making an entrance, having waltzed into the shelter with ease and a curious wag. Bonneville is a high-energy "busy bee" who loves to investigate his surroundings-especially if those surroundings include kitchen counters or a pile of stuffed toys. He is a huge fan of plushies and will happily entertain himself with his favorite squeaky friends for hours. While Bonneville is social and allowed most handling during his intake, he is still learning his manners when it comes to personal space. He tends to get very mouthy when he's excited or when being handled for things like grooming or vet visits, which is why he's looking for an adopter who understands the "jumpy/mouthy" Shepherd lifestyle. With a patient hand and some structured training to channel his enthusiasm, Bonneville's potential is limitless! Primary Color: (Unspecified) Weight: 68 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Meet Durango, the high-octane German Shepherd who's always ready to shift into high gear! 🏎️ This wiggly guy has a motor that never quits, though his steering is still a work in progress. He's currently a bit hesitant about being "hitched" to a leash, so he'll need a patient pit crew to help him gain confidence on his walks. ⛽ While he's known for being a bit jumpy and mouthy when he's revved up, he is highly treat-motivated and will happily trade some "garage time" training for his favorite snacks! 🥨 If you're looking for a loyal, high-energy companion to join your fast lane, this handsome boy is ready to roll! 🏁 Primary Color: Tan Weight: 63.4 Age: 2yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Meet Violet, a gentle soul who is looking for a patient heart to bloom with! At a year and a half old, this velvety Shepherd mix is the definition of a sweetheart, though she's a sensitive girl who finds the big, wide world a little intimidating at first. While new environments might make her nervous, once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through and she becomes the most loyal companion you could ask for. Violet would thrive in a calm home where she can take life at her own pace and trade her worries for belly rubs and cozy naps. 🌸🐕💜 Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.6 Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Gypsy Moon Gypsy Moon is a nearly 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a playful, goofy personality. At around 50 pounds, she’s a wonderful girl who’s ready to bring love and laughter into her forever home. Gypsy can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but with a bit of patience and kindness, she quickly warms up and shows her sweet, silly side. Once she feels safe, she absolutely shines—she loves attention and enjoys being her goofy, happy self. She gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys having canine friends to play with. Gypsy also loves spending time outdoors and especially looks forward to her walks—she does very well on a leash and is a joy to take out and about. Gypsy Moon is currently heartworm positive, but she is undergoing treatment and making great progress. She’ll be tested again soon, and we are hopeful for a negative result. Gypsy is looking for a patient and caring family who will give her the time she needs to settle in and the love she deserves. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, companionship, and plenty of smiles. Could Gypsy Moon be your perfect match? 💕 Interested in becoming a forever home for Gyspy? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
