Story
BYRON (23 lbs) and NOLAN (26 lbs) BREED: Malinois/German Shepherd blend (best guess)AGE: approx. 4 months old Active and sweet! That’s the name of the game for these young pups. They are very smart boys and excited to learn and train. (Food is life! Each is very food and treat motivated!)   Both boys get along with all the dogs in their foster home (small and large). They enjoy being outside, running around, playing with each other and the other dogs.  Byron and Nolan are very “mouthy” when they play. They love toys of all kinds, bones to chew on, and sticks they find in the yard. Starting an early training process with them, to keep them busy, will also help reduce any loss of shoes or other “no chew” items. They're active dudes, and like to be on the go but, when they are ready for a nap, they loooove their dog beds. Both of them are such sweet boys!  BYRON is more outgoing, loves to pal around with other dogs in the home, and is very vocal when he's playing. He's usually the first to seek out his people for some love and attention.  NOLAN can be a little more reserved. He likes to observe and take it all in. Once he's warmed up, he LOVES his people. He will follow you around and hang out in your company. POTTY TRAINING STATUS: they have not had any accidents in their foster home. They sleep in an xpen or kennel for approx 6 hours at night without accidents. They've been dream puppies! They do have occasional "excited potty" moments (example: when they're coming out of their pen, excited to see you and they forget they need to go out to potty first before saying hello. We expect them to grow out of that as they get older.) CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Both do just fine in a kennel in their foster home. No accidents! They're in a kennel for approx 4 hours while their foster family members are at work.  All puppies require extra time and patience, as well as solid supervision to help them reach expected milestones, like potty training and crate training. Each has their own personality that their forever family will want to pay close attention to as they “train” together to develop a well adjusted adult in the future.  To further inquire about these little ones, click on the link below to submit an application. Story
Meet Lady Lotus! This girl truly lives up to her name as being a true Lady. She is a three year old Malinois, German Shepherd Mix. She loves human affection and cuddles and will even hug you! Lady gets along well with all types of dogs and people. She is such a cuddle bug, and will join you on the couch for movie nights and football Sundays. She doesn't even care when her foster family is screaming at the TV during those intense game moments! Lady would do great in a home with other dogs or being the solo pet in the home. She can adapt to many different play styles with different types of dogs. She is definitely a people pleaser and may get a bit jealous if she doesn’t get her human attention as well! She does live up to her breed in being a little higher energy at times and would love a home where she can go on walks and have a nice yard to play in. After a nice walk Lady would be happy to enjoy a lazy day on the couch cuddling on those rainy Seattle days. Lady loves toys and mental stimulation, her favorite being harder toys she can chew on. Lady is potty trained and crate trained and is currently being fostered in a home with dogs, cats, an eight and ten year old. She has wonderful leash manners and would be a great dog to walk downtown for a cup of coffee or join you at your favorite brewery! Her foster takes her into town often on errands and she does so well. Notes from her foster: Lady lotus is a really sweet pup. She is very shy and reserved but does warm up. It takes her time so with someone patient she could really blossom! Lady lotus is great in the kennel. She will put herself away, kennels up very well, and makes zero noise in the kennel. She had no accidents in the kennel or inside too. Lady lotus is great on a leash and listens to corrections and knows sit! Lady lotus is great with the other dogs. She was a little shy at first but did come around and play with them. She plays with 3 male adults and 2 male puppies. Lady lotus is good with other people, she meets quite a few at my house. She tends to warm up to men quicker! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated its 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge.
