Story
Rocket came from a not so good past and I've had her for almost a yr. Rocket just wants to be loved and she is very loyal to her owner. It hurts to have to do this but we had to move from a big property where she was more free to a small apt. it has been hard here for Rocket not being able to run and play like before. Rocket has a lot of energy and she is my first dog, I don't know how to train or work with her. Rocket use to get along with other dogs but since the move she hasn't had any dogs to play with and has gotten more temperamental with other dogs on walks these days. Also, not leash trained. Rocket is amazing with my daughter (9 yrs old) I do believe Rocket chose her when we first met Rocket. Rocket has always been not ok with big men I believe because of her past. Rocket is a great loving yet intimidating dog. She has nipped a couple people but no blood and a lot going on around us at the time. I can't afford a vet bill nor give her the space to run. Looking for Love fun hom

MEET MANGO, a small and friendly shepherd/husky mix, possibly part Belgian Malinois, in need of a foster or forever home! Mango is a 2-year-old girl who loves people and loves other dogs. She's an active pup and would do best with an active person, people or family. She'd also do well with someone who works from home or is retired, because she gets bored pretty easily. She was originally rescued from a California shelter and now is in Southern Washington but can be transported to Portland. Please email for an application - Mango weighs only about 48 lbs.

Story
Meet Your Next Adventure Partner This stunning female Malinois is a true athlete at heart! Built for action and always ready to go, she’s looking for a very active home that can keep up with her drive, intelligence, and love of movement. Long hikes, runs, training sessions, or dog sports? She’s all in.She absolutely adores people and thrives on human connection. While she starts out all business and energy, once she’s had a chance to burn it off, her softer side shines through. When she finally runs out of steam, she’s a sweet, cuddly girl who loves to relax close to her people. She’ll do best in a cat-free home and with adopters who understand the Malinois breed and are excited to give her both physical exercise and mental enrichment. In the right home, she’ll be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun companion. If you’re looking for a smart, devoted, high-energy partner who can go all day and snuggle at night, she might be the perfect match. ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Sarge is a neutered 2 year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix currently being fostered in Denver, CO. Sarge is an outgoing, playful, and affectionate boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun. He is smart, curious, and full of energy, and he thrives when he has opportunities to play, explore, and be active with his people. Sarge loves other dogs and is always eager to make friends. He will happily nudge a dog to invite them to play and enjoys running and tug of war, especially with dogs his size or larger. While he gets excited and may pull toward dogs on leash, he is not aggressive and does well with slow, proper introductions. He is great at picking up on cues and will back off when another dog is done playing. Sarge has a moderate to high energy level and would do best in an active home. He would love daily walks, hikes, playtime, and mental stimulation. A fenced yard would be a big bonus, but he could also thrive with a family committed to keeping him exercised. He would do well with or without another dog in the home. On leash, Sarge could use some continued training. He is strong and tends to pull, but he responds well to guidance and does great with a gentle leader. He is fully house trained and crate trained, sleeping in his crate overnight and when his people are out. He can also be trusted with free roam, as he is not destructive. Sarge is a total lovebug with people. He is very cuddly, affectionate, and happy to greet new friends, though he may jump a bit when excited. He loves toys and proudly hoards them, lining them up one by one like treasured possessions. One of his cutest habits is doing a full somersault onto his dog bed after running inside. Sarge would be an amazing match for an active person or family looking for an adventure buddy. Older kids or dog savvy children would be best since he can be jumpy when excited. With continued leash training, plenty of toys, and lots of outdoor time, Sarge will be a loyal, joyful companion. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
