Story
**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire*** ***Accepting adoption inquires now, will be ready to go home after 6/27/26** Hello my name is Haisley, I am between 9-12mths old, soon to be spayed female, Belgian Malinois. I was a stray, so the team doesn't have any information from before. What they have learned is I am incredibly smart, sweet, eager to learn, easily trainable (I have learned sit, stay, leave-it and kennel), I love to go for walks, I walk well on a leash. I like other dogs, but I have not had any playdates yet, we don't know about children or cats (none to dog test with). My ideal home would be someone who has Belgian Malinois experience, we are excellent dogs, but need someone who understands our behavior, how we are trained and can keep up with our energy level, a fenced backyard, someone who I can go on adventures with like, hiking, camping, jogging and maybe someone who is interested in agility training. I am not a dog for a 1st time dog owner. My adoption fee is $250

Story
MEET MANGO, a small and friendly shepherd/husky mix, possibly part Belgian Malinois, in need of a foster or forever home! Mango is a 2-year-old girl who loves people and loves other dogs. She's an active pup and would do best with an active person, people or family. She'd also do well with someone who works from home or is retired, because she gets bored pretty easily. She was originally rescued from a California shelter and now is in Southern Washington but can be transported to Portland. Please email for an application - Mango weighs only about 48 lbs.

These pups are in Newberg, Oregon too!

Story
Meet Yar! Yar is a confident little explorer who is always ready to investigate new toys, new smells, and new friends. He’s playful, silly, and full of puppy enthusiasm. Yar loves to romp around with his siblings before settling in for a cozy nap. With his fun personality and adventurous spirit, Yar would do great in a home ready for all the joy (and laughter) that comes with raising a puppy. Rescued from a high-capacity shelter at just 6 weeks old, this adorable group of puppies has been busy growing, learning, and playing in their foster home. Now 8 weeks old, they’re ready to stomp their way into loving forever homes! These pups are believed to be Shepherd mixes and are expected to grow to around 65 pounds when fully grown. Shepherd-type dogs are known for being intelligent, loyal, athletic, and deeply devoted to their families. They thrive with active households that enjoy walks, adventures, and plenty of playtime. In their foster home, the Dinosaur pups have been socialized with children, dogs, and other household pets, giving them a great start to becoming well-rounded companions. Like all puppies, they are still learning the basics of potty training, crate training, and good puppy manners. Each one has their own personality — but all share the same sweet, playful, and curious spirit.
