HI - I'M FREYA! I'm a sweet and gentle 1-1/2-year-old Belgian Malinois mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a crowded California shelter in the nick of time. While there, I was kenneled with another dog, and was calm and gentle. I love playing with other dogs, and I also tested great with cats! (We have videos!) Have you ever seen a big doggy PUPPY? Well if you saw my pics, you have NOW!! I am a great boy, a busy boy and I would LOVE a busy family too!! I came to the rescue ALMOST three YEARS AGO! And all my family has already been adopted but I am still waiting............................................ And I am not sure WHY, except I am a smart and busy boy. I am good with other dogs, I need to have slow introductions and strong leader or I would do best in a single dog home...one great thing about me is...you don't have to trudge me to the dog park.... i prefer to be at home with YOU. I am good with cats too!! Now, if you know the Belgian Malinois breed you will know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain- that is the way to wear me out ;) Doggy puzzles, wearing a weighted backpack, all kinds of ways to do that! This big, beautiful boy needs a home with a fence, people that are home to lavish attention upon him and no cats. He does have anxiety around being alone, but with proper bonding, perhaps this will subside. He is from a home where terminal illness caused a great deal of anxiety and that unfortunately affected him. He will need a place to decompress and to be given time to grieve his loss. He does enjoy other dogs and meeting new people. Perhaps a home that has a dog for him to play with would be best for this big guy. He does have a large prey drive, so cats are a no go. He is a Belgian Shepard Border Collie mix, which means energy for days and intelligence. Can you make room for this tug loving, playful boy?

Panther is a big hunk of love once he gets to know you. He can be a bit nervous around new people but if you give him a few minutes, he does warm up. He is young and was an outdoor dog in his past. We would love to see him get with a family that has older kids and an active lifestyle to meet his energy level. He does enjoy a good snuggle in the sunshine when he has calmed down. He will benefit from obedience classes but our walkers have done a good job getting him some basic skills.
