Story
Sophie is a shy female shepherd that came in with another, older shepherd. She takes her cues from the other dog. She does not appear to be leash trained and is not eager to be away from the dog she came in with. We will be working on her confidence. She will be looking for someone that understands the intelligence of the German Shepherd breed and is willing to take the time needed to bring this dog into a balanced place. She is sweet when approached calmly.

Story
Sasha is a well-behaved dog. She is easy to leash up and walks well on the leash. She enjoys being outside and active. She is friendly and outgoing. She can be vocal so being left outside would not be ideal. She does know a few commands but will benefit from secondary training.

Miss Cordelia is a very calm, quiet lady. She is well-educated and gentle. She walks well on a leash, knows sit and stay, and is just a generally good girl. She is reserved, so she may need patience for bonding. Once bonded, she will be staunchly loyal.

Story
This shy dog is learning to come out of his shell. He is sweet once he feels comfortable. We are told that he is a Shepherd Lab mix. He will likely be a big boy when he is finished growing. He is learning to walk on a leash, to sit and eventually to stay. He will benefit from puppy classes to build his confidence. He gets along with other dogs.

Story
MEET DIME Dime is an 8 month old shepard mix rescued near the Semiahmoo resort near Bellingham WA. He and his brother Nickel, along with their mom Penny and her brand new litter of 11, were rescued and brought into the care of Happy Tails fosters around the end of April. Dime is a sweet and loveable goofball who aims to please and loves pets. He is very food motivated and has been a joy to train. He is great with other dogs and will continue to learn how to behave and live with cats. He is easy to correct and will be a great dog to train and grow with. Dime has been an off leash roam around free dog for most of his life but has quickly adapted well to living in a home and getting better and better on the leash. Dime would do well in a loving home environment with an owner or family that has the time and capacity to train him and help him continue to grow into a great dog. His mom was a shepherd mix around 40 pounds and so he should be a great family size dog. If you are interested in providing a forever home for this sweet and playful guy, please fill out an application at happytailshappyhomes.org.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mabel is a staff favorite and a very special girl! Mabel came to us as a stray back in June and has stolen everyone's heart. We can't be sure what her life before us looked like but we know she was let down by someone who was supposed to love and care for her. Just look at her big brown eyes; we can't imagine how anyone wouldn't want her love! And she gives it freely; Mabel might take a little to warm up but once she does she is very trusting and will follow you anywhere. Mabel has been fostered with young children, dogs, and cats. She loves playing with her canine friends and cuddling on the couch with humans of all ages! Cats, you ask? Well, that almost looks like something out of a cartoon! This gentle girl is not aggressive with her feline housemates, but we know she would be her best self in a home without cats - she is a GSD after all! Do you like to hike? Or go on long walks through your neighborhood? What about lounging around the house for a Netflix marathon? Mabel loves all of these activities and more! She is a dream on a leash in any setting and is extremely attentive to her handler. She likes treats and takes them so gently, but isn't super motivated by them; she would rather just have your affection! Mabel would do best in a home where she is the only dog and can chew on bones and play with squeaky toys to her hearts content! She would LOVE if her new family could be home with her a lot as she is very nervous about her big scary kennel. She is slowly making progress in learning not to be afraid (thanks to the help of her heartbeat snuggle puppy!); but she needs someone patient and kind who can help her learn that it is a safe and okay place to be for a little bit. If you are looking for the perfect partner-in-crime, outdoor companion, or cuddly buddy - we know you've found your special girl. Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Click here to apply → https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/shelter/three-little-pitties-rescue Questions? Email alex@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Available for adoption in NV, UT, ID, OR, WA and Canada! Brought by USDA licensed semi-truck transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our dogs travel in style in our big green truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 3 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. The adoption fee is $600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordatella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, a microchip with an instant lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus incredibly low pricing for future sessions, 50% off of your first BarkBox order, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our FB Adopter group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Liam is best described as a huggable goofball! I mean seriously, this guy wants to hug every person that he meets. He would be a great bestfriend who would always cheer you up when you are having a hard day. It's hard not to laugh at his goofy antics! Liam like to play with other dogs too! He really loves to play! Liam is looking for an active home. He loves playing in the water and riding in cars and sticking his head out the window! I can't say for sure but I'd bet that he would love to play in snow too! While Liam is very active and loves to play during the day, he is happy to cuddle up with his people and snooze at the end of the day. Does Liam sound like the perfect dog for you?! Story
Hi, my name is Muchi Sam! https://youtu.be/PFRFr35npwc I am a two- to three-year-old, 85 pound male German Shepherd Dog in search for my forever family. My foster dad spends a lot of time with me every day and will love to talk to you about me if you are interested. He says I am “biddable”, which he tells me means I listen well and respond to commands. I just like to make foster dad happy. I am crate-trained, walk well on leash, LOVE toys and playing fetch, and am social with a wide variety of other dogs. I take treats gently and do not exhibit any food aggression. If you are familiar with GSDs already, well I am like that, meaning I am very loyal to my people and want to be near them as much as possible. While I do like to run the yard, I often look back to make sure my people are near. I am looking for a forever home where I can be an integral part of the family. I want my loyalty and love to be shared as much as possible. It would be ideal if you already have GSD experience, as we are an intelligent, alert breed that require lots of interaction. If you think we may be a good match, please fill out an application for me and talk to my foster dad! Currently fostered in Texas and awaiting his adoption and transport to the PNW. Story
How cute is Gomer!! We think he may be a german shepherd but with rescue it is always a bit of a mystery! Gomer is playful and sweet. He loves to play with other dogs and his toys and then cuddle up for a nap. Hee is still a pup so he will need a patient family that is ready for training, socialization and all of the hard stuff that comes with owning a young puppy. However, he will make up for it with a bunch of kisses! His new family will have to work with her on potty training, crate training, and basic commands.  As he gets older, we anticipate he will be a moderate energy dog and will likely require physical and mental exercise daily. He will be perfect to take on long walks around the neighborhood!  Application https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6425e51407faecfef00d37f8 Available for adoption in UT, ID, OR, WA and Canada!
