Calling all people who appreciate a one family dog who is willing to work long hours ensuring the perimeter is secure before tucking you into bed! She has a very reasonable fee of cuddles and cheese.Big Bertha came in as a stray so her resume does have a gap. We do know we haven`t found a dog yet that she likes but maybe our pool is not up to her standards of having as much muscle and brains as her, its equal partnership era people.Young kids and cats? Probably not.Cafes and dog parks? Nope that`s not her vibe at the moment. What is her vibe? Weight lifting, watching the game by you on the couch with some pretzels and a beverage, playing a game with you in the yard where you let her win...So you ask what kind of home would work? Ideally she would be the only furry security detail with a secure yard she could play and run around in. This girl is not all work though, she loves to play and also knows some basic cues. She is highly intelligent and catching on quickly so with some training investment we think she could go far. She`s a catch with some caveats but a catch all the same. We all have our caveats.

This dog was found stray at the above address today 1/14/2021. The finder was told by Code Enforcement to bring here. He is not microchipped, he is intact, calm in the intake area. Administered DAPPV, Bordetella, and Strongid at time of intake on 1/14/2021. He allows handling during his brief intake exam. Since he just walked in the doors, we have no history, he has not been neutered yet, and will eventually spend time with our shelter dog evaluator after his mandatory stray hold of 72 hours, not including weekends is up. There is still a chance that his owners will come forward. 1/14/2021

Princess is a 2 year old shepherd queen. She’s sophisticated in that model with the gap tooth way. She has a streak of independence but balances that with an affectionate side that means you will have a quiet companion by you on the couch.She has lived with kids aged 7,13 and 14 and lived with a cat a while ago but not recently. We recommend a slow intro for all dog/cat integrations.She has been doing well in playgroups and on walks with other dogs. She has been tolerant of a wide range of personalities. We always recommend bringing your dog in for a meet and greet to make sure it is a good fit for all.This girl is smart and will take a little time to warm up but it is so worth it to be on the other end of her gentle leans. Come meet Princess!

Keanu is a bundle of fun and brains. He`s the class clown that became a tech millionaire when he grew up but still wears ripped jeans and a ball cap.He`s another mystery man coming in as a stray so kid and cat status is unknown but we recommend older kids only so they don`t get knocked over in his zest for life. He also has some of the herding breed mouthiness when he`s excited so recommend calm walks until he has been able to decompress from shelter stress.He seems to really like the lady dogs but has told us he would consider a brother as well. We recommend a meet and greet for all future dog roomies to ensure it`s a good fit for all.The perfect home would give him regular exercise, he is not a couch potato, and work his brain learning new things like solving puzzles, nosework, etc. Keanu went to a recent adoption event and showed us what a social guy he is, ready and willing to meet everyone! So if you`re looking for a fun dog with extrovert vibes come check him out.

Gunner needs plenty of exercise and playtime -- he`ll thrive with an active family.

Meet Blue! This energetic 3-year-old pup (turning 4 on February 2nd) is house trained and knows a variety of commands, including sit, stay, heel, go play, go potty, come, and shake. Blue thrives on adventure-he loves long walks, playing fetch with his favorite ball or frisbee, and exploring hiking trails. A day at the dog park is his idea of a perfect day! He's looking for a home without small children or babies and needs a family that can provide plenty of exercise and playtime to match his high energy. Blue is not just fun; he's also loyal and loves cuddling with his humans after a busy day. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is great off-leash, and behaves well on a leash. Blue does have very mild sign of hip-dysplasia that is very common in German Shepards. It is currently being controlled by pet-friendly CBD. He will need someone dedicated to maintaining this mild condition.
