Story
Blitz…or as we call her …Blitz-a-rooni is the total package. She was found on the streets in horrific shape …mange and secondary skin infections which actually left her unidentifiable as a breed…one in a home and understanding no one was going to hurt her she quickly flourished. The beautiful part of the mange is meds and quality nutrition healed her physically in no time…almost to where she doesn’t even look like the same dog…then she learned the ins and outs of a home and sharing life with other 2 legged and 4 legged…she figured out fluffy blankets right away and determined they were a definite requirement in her home…LOL She had resource guarding of her food which was not real issue as we feed our dogs in crate …but she also does very well with getting treats etc or even the shared ice cube in our home. I don’t blame her for being a little selfish when it comes to food..as it was evident she had to be protective to survive. She has turned out to be a definite chug butt ..solid and smaller in stature she is a briick of love. We have 3 Malinois and my husband kept saying she looks mal and I did not agree lol so we did a DNA and I’ll be darned if she isn’t 50 percent Belgian Malinois…What I see in this is a smart girl…but without the anxiety of the mal breed…which is a huge blessing I feel like she is the bestt of all her breeds …lol..she is fabulous in crate…I simply tell her to go to her room and she doesn’t make a peep. She is a bit of a Velcro dog and just wants to be with her person. She is easy on leash and would be amazing to work and train. Her activity level is moderate and she gets definite zoomies…does great with all my dogs but is best with dogs her size or larger. Her prey drive for smaller is intact. She loves kids but I always recommend with the power and intelligence older kids. She has definitely found her diva side…loving all things soft, blankets, rugs, towels, all things stuffy toys and if you are close by she will snuggle right in. The only thing she doesn’t like is when in crate and you are a stranger and you stare at her…but out of crate loves with all her chunkiness. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
This young Malinois needs a breed experienced home that can help her focus her immense energy into the correct direction. She has some great training down already, but will need that to be continued. She should not be placed with young children. She is compatible with dogs, cats, livestock and older kids. She is easy going, active, intelligent, hyper, playful, likes to swim and will jump fences to find something to do. She is vocal, will roam is she gets out and does jump on people. She has been attacked by another dog, but seems to be unbothered by the experience.

Story
Animal Profile: Buttercup is a 3-year-old, 55 lb spayed female "Texas Brown Dog" who joined us from Texas on 7/15/22 as an unsure adolescent. We have worked diligently with her in training to improve her confidence so she can be successful in her forever home. Foster Update: This energetic girl will do anything for a treat and very much wants to please her humans. She is building confidence; however, her anxious energy translates to reactivity at times. Off-leash she greets humans with excitement or indifference both in the house and the yard. She is doing well with the three large resident male dogs in the house after structured integration. She can play all day and has benefited from dog companions who can gently correct and/or join in her exuberance, as well as lead her in confident appropriate behaviors. She is potty trained and crate trained and often goes into her crate on her own to relax. She has demonstrated some significant prey drive toward the neighbors cat, so we think this girl will be best in a cat free home. While in foster care, Buttercup has received training from Bulletproof Balanced Training; her adopter will receive a private take-home training session. This girl is destined to be a wonderful loving member of her forever pack. Adopter Profile: Adult-only household Large breed experience preferred Secure fenced yard preferred Other dogs preferred (not required) Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA guidelines, negative heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older, and microchip. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application  December 6, 2024, 11:33 am

Meet Petunia, a sweet and lovable 1-year-old Shepherd Lab mix with the perfect balance of energy and relaxation. While she may be a little shy at first, once she warms up to you, her affectionate and gentle personality shines through. Petunia loves to play and enjoys her fun, active moments, but she’s just as happy being a couch potato, snuggled up for a lazy afternoon. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or lounging indoors, Petunia truly embraces the best of both worlds. She’s looking for a loving home where she can feel safe, loved, and share her gentle heart. Could Petunia be your perfect companion? **Courtesy Post** This pet is not with our rescue. Located in Yakima, WA but can be transported to Western WA. Story
Meet Beau, a handsome 1-year-old Shepherd Lab mix with a tall, athletic build, weighing around 65-70 pounds. As a littermate to Rosie and Petunia, Beau shares their sweet nature but has a personality all his own. Beau is kennel trained and enjoys affection, though he’s not the overly cuddly type. He’s happiest when he’s exploring the yard, playing, and enjoying his surroundings. Beau is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates an independent yet friendly dog with a playful spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy to share your adventures and quiet moments, Beau could be the one for you! ***Courtesy Post*** This pet is not with our rescue.
