Story
8 years old Coco is a gorgeous Belgian Malinois mix with a personality that's simply irresistible. Coco is the epitome of sweetness and love, and her favorite thing in the whole wide world is being around people. She's what you'd call a "velcro dog," always eager to stick by your side and shower you with affection. This gentle and friendly girl gets along splendidly with other dogs and cats, but she'd much prefer to have all your love and attention to herself. Therefore a home without any other dogs would be ideal for her, although she will definitely love a doggie friend who is not alpha. She does these cute yawns and loves baby talk. She also loves, loves, loves her plush toys and plays with it with her foster siblings. Coco is a pro when it comes to manners. She's house-trained, leash-trained, and socialized, making her the perfect companion for any adventure. She spends her time hanging out next to her foster mom during the day and sleeping next to her at night. Coco knows exactly what she wants in life, and that is to be someone's cuddlebug and best friend. So, if you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, look no further. Coco the Sweet Girl is ready to charm her way into your heart and home. Coco was rescued from Barc Houston pound, as her foster parents stepped up to save her life. She bonded with them instantly, proving how sociable she was. Coco is about 55 lbs, fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, She is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Even though she is currently being fostered in Texas, she can travel to any state and even Canada to the right home. Yards must be fully and adequately fenced, to be considered for our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com so you could be approved to meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp. Coco's adoption fee of $250 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Out of state transport costs can range from $200- $300 depending on the destination. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
4 yo Belgian malinois mix Maddox and her 2 year old malinois sister Mel lost their parents, their homes, and siblings to divorce and overnight, her world collapsed. Maddox is a super sweet, almost perfect pup. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She lives with dogs, a kitty, and two small children, and gets along with everyone. She does love to play fetch, but mostly she is very quiet for her breed, and prefers chilling with her foster family, than play with her doggie foster siblings. Maddox tends to be a bit more reserved and enjoys her own quiet space. Maddox is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate and better suited as a companion than a high-drive working dog. Maddox weighs 60 lb and is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and kept on proheart 12. She loves to sunbathe, and snuggle. The sudden change in their situation has been very stressful to Maddox, so we would definitely like to find her a home where she gets lot of love, and affection. Maddox is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet our gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

🐾 MEET NATASHA — YOUR FUTURE LITTLE SHADOW! 🐾 At just 4 months old, Natasha has already mastered one very important skill: loving her people with her whole heart. 💜 This beautiful girl is the definition of a sweetheart and is happiest when she knows her humans are close by. Natasha is the kind of puppy who wants to be involved in everything. Cooking dinner? She’s supervising. Watching TV? She’ll be right beside you. Walking from one room to another? Of course she’s coming too! 😂 Wherever you are, that’s where Natasha wants to be. She has an incredibly affectionate personality and loves attention, cuddles, and simply being near her people. She’s already showing what a wonderful bond she can form with her family, and we think she’s going to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. 🥰 But Natasha isn’t just a people pup — she’s also great with kids and other dogs! 🐶 She has that happy, playful puppy personality and is ready to continue learning, exploring, and growing alongside her forever family. And seriously… THOSE EARS. 👂😍 We’re not saying they’re going to be her most recognizable feature, but we’re also not saying they won’t be! They are absolutely adorable and somehow make her already-too-cute face even harder to resist. Natasha is still a baby, so she’ll need a family who understands that puppies come with some learning, training, zoomies, and probably a little bit of mischief. But in return, you get the opportunity to watch this sweet girl grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Available for transport within TX, OK, NM, CO, LA, and KS (adopter must meet transport at least halfway). We do prefer adopters pick up their new companion in person when possible. 📩 Interested in adopting or fostering? If you’ve been looking for a loving, loyal, affectionate little best friend who wants nothing more than to be part of your life, Natasha might just be your girl. 💕 She’s ready for adventures, cuddles, learning, growing — and most importantly, a family she can call her own. Natasha is ready to find her people. Could that be you? 🐾💜

Meet Dax!Breed: Teacup Shepherd/Pittie MixAge: ~1 yearWeight: ~30 lbsLooking for a sweet, snuggly sidekick? Meet Dax, a lovable Pittie mix who’s ready to steal your heart, and maybe your lap, too!Dax is a gentle, medium-energy boy who adores his people and loves nothing more than curling up for cuddles and giving soft kisses. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, you’ll see his goofy, affectionate personality shine through. He’s currently living with several other dogs (nine, to be exact!) and gets along great with them. While he’s shown a little food-guarding around human meals, he responds well to correction and has done beautifully with structured feeding routines.House & Crate Training:Dax is doing fantastic with his potty training — he knows to go outside and is great about holding it. He’s okay in his crate, though he’ll sometimes “chat” if he knows you’re home (he just doesn’t want to miss out on the fun!).Other Notes:Great with other dogsCats & kids: unknownWalks nicely on leash, no reactivity observedNo aggression or separation anxiety notedLoves toys, especially noisy ones (the crinklier, the better!)May indulge in a bit of backyard digging if left alone (he might have a little mole in him).Dax would thrive in a loving home where he can continue to build confidence and get plenty of affection. He’d enjoy having a friendly dog buddy to play with, but he’d also do well as the only pup if he gets lots of human attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, tenderhearted companion with a silly side, Dax is your guy! Dax is currently in a loving foster home in the Houston, Texas area. He is able to travel out of state!Adoption application: https://www.this-is-houston.org/adopt/adopt-application
