Meet Dax!Breed: Teacup Shepherd/Pittie MixAge: ~1 yearWeight: ~30 lbsLooking for a sweet, snuggly sidekick? Meet Dax, a lovable Pittie mix who’s ready to steal your heart, and maybe your lap, too!Dax is a gentle, medium-energy boy who adores his people and loves nothing more than curling up for cuddles and giving soft kisses. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, you’ll see his goofy, affectionate personality shine through. He’s currently living with several other dogs (nine, to be exact!) and gets along great with them. While he’s shown a little food-guarding around human meals, he responds well to correction and has done beautifully with structured feeding routines.House & Crate Training:Dax is doing fantastic with his potty training — he knows to go outside and is great about holding it. He’s okay in his crate, though he’ll sometimes “chat” if he knows you’re home (he just doesn’t want to miss out on the fun!).Other Notes:Great with other dogsCats & kids: unknownWalks nicely on leash, no reactivity observedNo aggression or separation anxiety notedLoves toys, especially noisy ones (the crinklier, the better!)May indulge in a bit of backyard digging if left alone (he might have a little mole in him).Dax would thrive in a loving home where he can continue to build confidence and get plenty of affection. He’d enjoy having a friendly dog buddy to play with, but he’d also do well as the only pup if he gets lots of human attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, tenderhearted companion with a silly side, Dax is your guy! Dax is currently in a loving foster home in the Houston, Texas area. He is able to travel out of state!Adoption application: https://www.this-is-houston.org/adopt/adopt-application

Red was found as a stray at SpindleTap Brewery. They had left a door open for him and he just walked in one day. He likes to play fetch and loves stuffed animals and balls. He is not a fan of other dogs so he would do better in a one dog home.

Story
Hi there! My name is Sarge and I’m ready to join a fun-loving family as their newest member.  I’m a mellow guy that enjoys spending time with my people, going on nice walks (though my leash walking could use some improvement), socializing, and playing with my foster fur siblings. I get along with both big dogs and small dogs, but I can play a bit rough, so it’s important to keep an eye on me if I’m playing with small dogs. I have no problem being around kids too- the more friends, the merrier! I also haven't reacted to stray cats or birds running near me, so it's likely that I'd be ok with smaller animals too. As always, it's wise to introduce my breed to small animals carefully.  I do love a car ride- I’ll jump right in! But hopefully that means you’re taking me to lunch or the spa, because I’m not a huge fan of the outdoors. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy, I’m probably not your guy. What can I say, I love air conditioning! At 4 years old, I am fully potty trained and crate trained. I’ll go in the crate if I absolutely have to, but I don’t particularly love it as that usually means my people are leaving! Even then, I'll settle down quietly and sleep until you come back. I can be trusted to free roam in the house as I’m not the type to chew on random things- I much prefer to chew on toys and treats.  Speaking of treats, I’ll do just about anything for a good snack! I know how to sit, shake, and go to my bed or crate. I also have pretty good recall- one shout of my name and I'll come running! If I'm not already near you, you can find me hanging out somewhere cozy, as I'm perfectly fine being on my own and entertaining myself with a chew or a toy.  I’m a confident, low to medium-energy dog that loves to meet new people, especially since that means I’ll be getting a belly rub (right?). If you’re in need of a loving and playful companion for your family, look no further! As long as there’s air conditioning and treats- I’m your guy. ##2585684##
