This young German Shepherd mix has already written himself quite the comedy script. Picture this: a scrappy little wanderer roaming the streets of Palestine, TX, working up the courage to approach a stranger at a gas station. His sweet face looked up and he asked for help—and jackpot! The nice man popped him into his truck, and our pup promptly passed out for eight solid hours. That’s right, eight hours. He snoozed so hard you’d think he was auditioning for a mattress commercial. When he woke up, surprise! He was in a foster home with new friends, toys, and all the belly rubs he could dream of. Since then, he’s been making up for lost time with turbo-charged puppy energy: running, fetching, chewing, and barking like he’s got his own talk show. He’s especially fond of tug-of-war and wrestling—basically, if it’s rowdy, he’s in. Food is still a big deal for him (hey, when you’ve had to fight for scraps, you don’t just forget). He’s learning to share, but let’s be honest—food is delicious and worth fighting for! With a little training, though, he’ll be the perfect gentleman at mealtime. I’m fully vetted, well-behaved, and I already know how to sit. I walk nicely beside you on a leash and enjoy being part of whatever you’re doing. I’m affectionate, loyal, and a little curious about the world around me. I love toys, I’m treat motivated (which makes me extra fun to work with), and I’m always happy to soak up attention. I’m not quite sure how I feel about cats yet, but I’m ready to find a home where I can settle in, be loved, and be your steady, loving companion.

Hi, I’m Astro, a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 63 pounds, and I’m what they call a gentle giant. I’m affectionate, well-behaved, and love being close to my people. I get along great with dogs and kids, and I’ve got a playful, curious side that comes out when toys are involved. I’m a bit of a “clingy” boy in the best way. I just really love attention and being part of your world. My friends say I’m sweet, gentle, and full of love. We’re not sure how I do with cats yet, but I’m ready to find a home where I can be your loyal companion and soak up all the love you’ve got to give.
