He loves going on walks and would happily walk with you all day, or spend the entire day curled up next to you snuggling and napping. He is extremely food-motivated and will do just about anything for a good treat!Cub is a wonderful companion and has so much love to give. He does have some behaviors that are important for his new family to know. He is leash-reactive toward other dogs and is not comfortable around small children. We have a toddler and a baby on the way, and after a lot of heartbreak, we’ve made the difficult decision to find Cub a home that is a better fit for his needs.We love Cub dearly and want nothing more than to find him a loving home where he can thrive and be spoiled with walks, cuddles, and treats. ❤️

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet young dog that needs our help. Willow is one of these dogs that deserves, due to her excellent temperament and all the love she'll bring to a family, to have a wonderful home filled with pure love and nurturing. Willow is the kind of dog that once comfortable in her environment snuggles in, loves you up and then puts her head on your shoulder breathing her warm breath. She's so sweet and so very loving and irresistible that you can't help falling head over heels in love. Willow is a gorgeous 50 pound, 10 month old Bernese Mountain Dog / Labrador Retriever mix that is just waiting patiently to be the love of a special family's life. Willow's breeds were identified by Texas veterinarians...all we know for certain is that this sweet girl is absolutely irresistible! This pup is SO sweet and once acclimated to her new life, will make a wonderful addition to a dog-loving Colorado family. Willow's foster had the following to say about this sweet girl: Willow is an absolute gem! She’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and LOVES people—especially our 8 month old son. He loves Willow and Willow loves him..and that's all there is to it She’s been so sweet, gentle and nurturing with him from the start. This girl simply has it all..she couldn't be sweeter or easier to be with. I can trust her in every situation and know that my home and most importantly, my kids and other pets are completely safe with Willow. She's like a second mama in my house, always wanting to take care of all of us and be the very best girl she's capable of being..and that's pretty awesome! Willow has so much love to give. We think she’d be happiest in a home where she can be a true member of a family. I couldn't recommend her more as a family member with gentle kids, a playful and kind spirit and just generally an amazing dog of pure love. She’s truly a special pup! Willow is a perfect size to be able to accompany her family just about everywhere a medium-sized dog is welcome. She will fit right into virtually every situation due to her great temperament and very sweet personality. Our dream for Willow is a forever Colorado home with a family that cherishes her for life. As Willow becomes comfortable in her forever home, she'll blossom and become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more our special girl will shine with her accomplishments. Farfel's would like to see our Willow in a home that includes her in family time and activities (and some couch-time with belly rubs would be absolutely perfect!) as well as taking that extra step to participate in positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person obedience classes. These classes successfully teach a smart and cooperative dog like Willow the skills to accompany her family out into the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free trainers in your area. Willow will be a loving and devoted companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a silly, fun-loving and irresistible dog. She would love to have another gentle and fun dog to play with but it's not mandatory if her people are nurturing and involved. Willow would also do well with a younger family that works from a home-based office. She would bask in the attention and periodic cuddles throughout the day that this life-style brings. Willow's stunning coat (with the most gorgeous Bernese markings ever!) is currently shelter-sad. She will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing, excellent 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement. This regimen will promote great health as well as a cottony-soft coat that is shining with that excellent health. Willow has been fully vetted, spayed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. This supports Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation challenge in the canine population. Willow will be arriving on transport on Saturday 10/3/2026. MEET SIERRA! Sierra is a 5-year-old, approx. 90-pound Bernese/Anatolian mix girl who came from a family in Montana who were unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but her rescuers have been working with her, integrating her into their foster family with dog walks, belly rubs, brushing sessions and lots of love. Sierra is a working/herding/guard dog but is also a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home. We think she'd do best in a house with a fenced yard, and without other dogs or pets. However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and will benefit from ongoing training. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people and getting lots of belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person! Meet Lily! She is just 2.5 yrs old est. and 77 pounds.  Lily is a beautiful Border Collie mix with possible Bernese Mountain Dog or Husky in her—and the sweetest signature “aroo!” when prompted.   For much of her early life, Lily was chained to a tree in Arkansas. The chain around her neck was so tight it had to be cut off. When she arrived at EAPL, she was also heartworm-positive—but thanks to her devoted foster and months of care, Lily is now heartworm-free and ready for her forever home!   Lily absolutely adores people and soaks up every bit of affection she can get. She is wonderful with young children and has done well around cats, even when they aren’t especially welcoming. Outdoors, she loves staying close to her people and has great recall, but this social butterfly may visit the neighbors if given the opportunity—so a securely fenced yard will be important.   Because Lily went without security and proper care for so long, she will benefit from a patient, confident adopter who can provide loving boundaries and continue her training. She can be protective of her food, so she’ll need a family willing to manage this thoughtfully and help her continue learning that her meals are safe.   Lily has already overcome so much.
