Story
Meet Willa! 🐾 Willa is a 5-year-old, 25-pound Mini Bernedoodle with the sweetest personality you could ask for! Willa is looking for a special home with a family who has previous rescue experience, where she can truly thrive. She came to us from a commercial breeder and was previously adopted, but it simply wasn't the right fit for everyone. Now she's hoping to find her forever family. Willa doesn't ask for much, but she does have one important requirement: she must be allowed on the furniture! She is the definition of a couch potato and loves nothing more than curling up beside you, resting her head in your lap while you relax together. However, she loves going on walks! She does well on a leash and looks forward to her walks so she can sniff out the world she travels well in a car tooo She is an excellent house guest. Willa is house-trained, although we always say regression is common in new environments, ignores cats, gets along well with her Golden Retriever sister, and settles nicely in her crate (even if it isn't her favorite place). Her ideal home is a calm environment We do feel it would be best for children to be 12 and over so they can understand how to be respectful of Willa until she feels comfortable. Because Willa is quite the little escape artist, her future family will need to take extra precautions. She should always wear a GPS tracker or similar device, and her home should have secure barriers or a reliable system to prevent her from slipping out the door. A securely fenced yard is a requirement for this gal! Willa is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and more than ready to steal your heart—and your spot on the sofa! She's a calm, gentle, affectionate girl who simply wants a safe place to relax and be loved. Honestly, isn't that what we all want? Willa is currently being fostered in Strasburg, PA. Story
Hi hooman! My name is Nilla! Like Nilla Wafers… because I’m sweet, tiny, and apparently made of approximately 11 pounds of fluff and feelings. I’m a 5-month-old merle Mini Bernedoodle, and I have an important announcement: I am a VERY good puppy. I am just… currently experiencing some technical difficulties with confidence… but I’m getting there!! When I first got to my foster home, I was pretty sure humans were suspicious. Like, “Hmmmm… you seem nice, but I’m going to need approximately 60 business days to think about this.” 👀 I didn’t trust people much at all, but my foster family has been teaching me that humans can be safe and kind. And guess what?! I’m starting to believe them! I’m slowly learning to trust the people I live with, and I’m even getting braver around visitors. My foster brother is my FAVORITE. He’s basically my personal canine life coach. He shows me what to do, where to go, and how to be a dog. I definitely need a confident, friendly dog sibling in my forever home because having a doggy buddy makes me feel SO much braver. Kids? I think older, dog-friendly kids could be great! But they’ll need to understand that I’m a little nervous and sometimes need some space. Now, let’s discuss my greatest nemesis: THE LEASH. I do not understand it. It touches me. It follows me. It expects me to WALK. Absolutely outrageous. 😳 I’m working on it, but leashes still make me pretty nervous. A securely fenced yard would be AMAZING because then I can run, zoom, sniff, play, and generally conduct important puppy business without being attached to the scary string thing. I’m already microchipped, spayed, and up to date on all my preventatives, so I’ve checked all the responsible-puppy boxes. Underneath these nerves is a sweet little puppy who REALLY wants to figure out this whole “being a dog” thing. I’m just going to need a little help, and maybe a confident dog sibling, and snacks…definitely snacks. Oh—and I should mention: I absolutely love a nice soft couch. It is my favorite invention of all time. I will happily curl up, get cozy, and supervise your life from maximum comfort. Also, I’m proud to report that I sleep through the night in my crate like a very responsible puppy. I go in calmly, settle down nicely, and snooze peacefully until morning like a pro. Love, Nilla — future professional good girl, current amateur chicken. Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Oreo has become our Starr🌟 This beautiful 3 y/o girl came to us from a commercial breeder and is said to be a minibernadoodle although we recognize the Australian Shepherd similarities 🤷🏻‍♀️ She is about 32 pounds. She began her rescue journey in a foster home where a young girl named her Oreo based on her gorgeous coloring. After about three months, her foster mom recognized that their household was too busy for this baby and she wasn’t progressing as well as she could. Oreo moved to her current foster home where she became our Starr 🌟 Starr has made great strides in the last two months. She walks beautifully on a leash and seems to need her human to lead the way. She enjoys the company of other playful, confident dogs; a confident resident dog/s is required in her forever home to continue to show Starr how to be a well-loved member of the family. Starr recently had a sleepover and met the resident cat; she liked her too. Starr loves stuffies, bones and food😋 It’s just humans where she needs the convincing 🙃 Starr needs a confident pack leader who is calm and steady. She startles at loud noises and quick movements, and so a quieter, less busy home is ideal. While Starr is always close by to her foster mom, and wants to be in the mix, she shies away from direct eye contact and is still learning that humans can be gentle. She is reluctant to be pet but she will allow it, and even seems to enjoy it. She is just apprehensive and needs to be reassured that she is safe. She has the most beautiful, expressive eyes and they will talk to you if you listen 😉💗 Starr is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. House-training is a work in progress and the safer Starr feels outside, the better she gets. Starr is looking for a quiet home with structure and routine and a family that will allow her to grow at her own pace with gentle encouragement. Starr has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is prescribed medication to alleviate her anxiety which should be continued in her forever home until a doctor says otherwise. She is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A meet and greet with all family members, including furry friends, and a home visit are part of the application process. Story
Meet Ziggy! Ziggy is a 5-month-old, 18 pound, chocolate merle Bernedoodle with a goofy personality and a sweet, gentle heart. When he first came to us, he was very timid and nervous and wasn’t quite sure what to think of the world around him. But with patience, consistency, and lots of love, Ziggy is learning how to be a dog—and he’s doing so well! This handsome boy is friendly, goofy, and really starting to come out of his shell. He’s learning to trust his people and discovering that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. Ziggy is doing well with potty training and has very few accidents when he’s taken out regularly. He’s also making great progress with leash walking and is learning all those important puppy skills. Ziggy would love having another confident, well-adjusted dog in his forever home to help show him the ropes and give him a little extra confidence, but another dog is not required. He can absolutely thrive with the right people who are willing to continue helping him build his confidence. He is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, microchipped, and neutered. Ziggy is still a young pup who will need a family willing to continue building his confidence and helping him learn. In return, you’ll get to watch this sweet, goofy boy blossom into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Ziggy is ready to find his people and continue his journey—one little step (and probably a few goofy ones!) at a time. Story
Meet Fig! Fig is one of the two smallest puppies in the Grove Gang, a trio of Bernedoodles who came to rescue after their breeder surrendered seven dogs. Fig and her sister, Date, were the first two our rescue took in. When we learned that no other rescue had chosen their dad, Banyan, we knew we couldn’t leave him behind. So Banyan joined his girls, and the Grove Gang was safely together in rescue. Since her rescue, Fig has been soaking up every ounce of affection she can get. She has also been medically groomed and is already feeling so much better. It’s amazing what a little TLC, a clean-up, and plenty of love can do! Now this sweet girl is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Fig will be looking for her forever family through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows an approved family to bring their future puppy home right away while making sure the match is the perfect fit for everyone. After a two-week foster period, the adoption is finalized. Fig can arrive in PA on or after August 22. Could Fig be the sweet addition your family has been looking for?
