Story
Meet Angie. Angie is a 5 year old female Bernese Mountain Dog who weighs 98 lbs. She came to us from a breeder. Angie is doing her best to figure out what it means to live in a house. Angie has not had any accidents in the house. She's skittish with loud noises and quick movements. Angie does well in a crate that she can see through but she prefers to be outside laying in the shade watching all the comings and goings of the neighborhood. Angie lives in a foster home with middle school aged kids and does well with them, but would prefer to have it quiet.  She gravitates towards women and it takes her longer to warm up to men.  She really is trying her best and you can see in her eyes that she wants to be loved!A yard with a fence is a must because Angie doesn't like the leash and attempts to dart away when on a leash. Angie has seen cats through a fence and will stand there watching them. Angie has also briefly had cats walk past her with no barriers and she did not try to go after them. She did attack the chickens at her foster home so she will need to be in a separate area if her forever home has poultry. We did find a mass on Angie's leg when she came to the rescue. It was removed when she was spayed. The biopsy did show mast cell cancer and it was completely removed. We don't know at this point if it will re-occur or how long she had the lump but it is now completely removed. Angie will need a home that will spoil her no matter how long she may have or how long it takes her to settle in.  She is a very sweet girl and deserves only the best! Angie is microchipped, up to date with her vaccines, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250.00. Story
Meet Arielle -Arielle is a 5 ½ yr old Black/White Bernedoodle and weighs approximately 77 lbs. She is the height of a Bernese and her hair is more poodle than Bernese. She doesn’t shed and allergies have not been an issue in the foster home. She came from a farm in Lancaster and was a personal pet on the property. Arielle listens very well and knows commands. She is still shy but is coming out of her shell more and more each day. Arielle loves to be petted and comes when you call her. Arielle gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Arielle is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house or crate. She even lets you know when she needs to go to the bathroom. She considers her crate her safe space and it’s highly recommended that she has a crate so she has her own space. Because of her active prey instinct Arielle should not go to a home that has chickens. Arielle also walks very well on a leash, but if she gets scared she is going to take off and if your not prepared she will pull you with her. Because of her size it would be recommended for Arielle to go to a home with older children. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Arielle, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, PA 18041.Pennsylvania Kennel License #13036  ##2750130##

Story
Meet Fig! Fig is one of the two smallest puppies in the Grove Gang, a trio of Bernedoodles who came to rescue after their breeder surrendered seven dogs. Fig and her sister, Date, were the first two our rescue took in. When we learned that no other rescue had chosen their dad, Banyan, we knew we couldn’t leave him behind. So Banyan joined his girls, and the Grove Gang was safely together in rescue. Since her rescue, Fig has been soaking up every ounce of affection she can get. She has also been medically groomed and is already feeling so much better. It’s amazing what a little TLC, a clean-up, and plenty of love can do! Now this sweet girl is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Fig will be looking for her forever family through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows an approved family to bring their future puppy home right away while making sure the match is the perfect fit for everyone. After a two-week foster period, the adoption is finalized. Fig can arrive in PA on or after August 22. Could Fig be the sweet addition your family has been looking for? Story
Meet Banyan! Banyan is a handsome Bernedoodle dad who found himself in rescue after his breeder surrendered seven dogs. While our rescue initially took his two smallest girls, Fig and Date, we soon learned that no other rescue had chosen their dad. We couldn’t leave him behind, so Banyan joined his girls and came safely into our care, too. Since arriving, Banyan has been soaking up every ounce of affection he can get. He’s also been medically groomed and is already feeling so much better. After whatever life looked like before rescue, it’s clear that this sweet boy is enjoying the TLC, attention, and comfort he deserves. Banyan is now ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own. He’ll be looking for a forever home through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows an approved family to bring him home and make sure the match is just right for everyone. After a two-week foster period, the adoption is finalized. Banyan can arrive in PA on or after August 22. If you think Banyan could be your guy, we’d love for you to learn more about him and our adoption process!
