Story
Our dear Sadie is ready for a forever home to call her own. She is thought to be around 2 years old. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, has a microchip and overall in great health. She weighs 66 pounds, she needs to gain maybe 10 pounds. Sadie spent her short life in a puppy mill type situation. Sadie is a sweet loving girl. She needs time to trust and move forward. She is timid and shy but that is normal for Berners like Sadie who have spent their lives just having pups. She really does not care for loud male voices, she would do best with more mild manner males. Her forever family should be patient, patient, patient with her. While at the same time work with her to bring her forward a few steps each day. Her adopter will need to teach her all of those pesky house manners. She needs an adopter who will slowly introduce her to the world since it is all new to her. For this reason she is considered a flight risk at this time and requires a yard with 6 ft fencing. Sadie is not a fan of small animals of any shape or type, so no cats, small dogs or any other small animals in the home. She seems to do okay with big dogs. She is currently living with 2 male Berners. She is slowly starting to play with the Berners. She has never lived with small children. Small children will be too much for her to handle. Teenagers should be fine. Once Sadie begins to trust and bond with you, she is a love bug. She will lay with you for hours on the couch for pets. Sadie is a sweet girl who wants to forever home to call her own, one that will work with her and slowly introduce her to the world. We do not transport our Berners. Adopter should plan to travel to Sadie's foster home in Morrisville, PA to pick her up. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you think Sadie just might be the girl for you, please complete our adoption application and submit to: info@bfwrescue.org.

Story
Hi, I'm Kobe! I'm a 2 year old male Bernese Mountain dog but my foster family say I look more like a big teddy bear! I was surrendered to Zoe's House by a commercial breeder. I lived outdoors for most of my life. Learning about life inside of a home, was a whole new world for me. I was afraid to walk on carpets, go up and down steps, and eat out of a dog bowl. I felt more comfortable outdoors until I was introduced to a warm house! Now, I run up and down the steps, play on the carpets, and jump on the couch. I also sleep in a cozy bed with a fan on me. Kobe has a docile personality and loves to be around his family. He is truly a gentle giant who loves receiving attention. He is good with kids and other dogs, however, he wouldn't mind being the only pet. He currently lives with another dog and will play with her periodically. He is still learning how to play and interact with other dogs. He enjoys lounging outdoors and looks forward to his daily walks. Kobe is housebroken and does not have accidents in his foster house if taken out on a regular basis Potential adopters may need to meet Kobe several times so he can get comfortable with you. He is very shy and nervous the first time meeting people but is very loyal once he trusts you. Kobe is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, wormed and on monthly preventatives. He had bi-lateral eye surgery to repair entropion. The surgery was successful and he looks adorable. If you are interested in meeting Kobe please apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com. Please allow a few weeks for foster families to process applications. Kobe is being fostered in Center Valley, PA. All adopters should be prepared to travel to the foster home with their current dogs. Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Hi! My name is Luke. I am a 5 month old Bernadoodle who was surrendered to Zoe's House due to no fault of my own!! My old family thought they were getting a mini dog and I am not a mini anything. My foster family says I am THE BEST pup ever, but still a little bit of that naughty puppy behaviors to overcome A bit about me. I'm a family man, looking for my forever home. I'm a pro surfer. Mostly I surf countertops and table tops, but I'll take the occasional dip into the dishwasher when it's open. I'm very passionate about chewing. I like to chew on anything that reminds me of a stuffy and I absolutely love getting into my foster humans toys! I am a rock star passenger. I don't make constant gasping noises when the car gets too close to the vehicle in front, I won't comment about the route you decided to take, and I'll never complain about your speed! I'm just happy to be along for the ride and my car manners are on point! My foster family has been working with me a lot, teaching me how to be the best doodle I can be! I don't love my crate but I will go in, with some incentive. Sometimes the incentive is a treat and other times it's my foster parents scooting me in. Thankfully my foster family only crates me when they leave. Usually, I'm free to do what I want any other time. I have puppy level energy so a fenced yard and a furry sibling would be great! Or active puppy savvy human siblings to run around with would work just fine too!! I love kids!!! I'm still leaning leash training but one day I will be an amazing walking and hiking partner! A very active family who would take me a lot of places with them would be pawsitivly perfect! Take me on all the adventures with you Even though I am very well behaved please remember I am still a puppy and still need guidance to be the bestest doodle I can be! I am a good listener and eager to learn so teach me all the tricks. I already know sit and paw! I catch on quick. Patience is all I need If I sound like the guy for you, have your people submit an application to my people, www.zoeshouserescue.com so we can meet! Luke is UTD on his vaccines and preventatives and has been neutered. Due to his breed he will require regular grooming. Zoes House, Inc Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading pa 19608

Story
Ivan is a 4 month old male bernese mountain dog/poodle mix who weighs 35 pounds. These puppies are as fun as they come and they are going to be wonderful new family members. Ivan loves to spend time outside looking for sticks and he has learned to play fetch as well. At his foster home, he is now almost fully house trained and is doing well with crate training too. Ivan loves to play with other dogs, is super smart and is easy to train. He does appear to shed, so would not be matches for families that have allergies. We estimated that they will be large sized dogs when they become full grown due to their current size at such a young age.
