Story
Meet Liberty. Liberty is a 5 year old 65 lbs Bernese mountain dog/poodle mix that Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  She is a magnificent dog with a few areas needing work.  She has only had a couple of potty accidents so is almost housebroken.  She is almost crate trained but will need help going in.  We feed her in the crate(all our volunteers do that with their fosters). Liberty is full of energy and plays wonderfully with our lab.  She understands the commands NO and LEAVE IT but needs work on teaching her to sit with her doodle personality energy. Liberty is good with the cat in the foster’s home. Liberty is still very skittish as most puppy mill dogs have never been exposed to noises common in a home and neighborhood.  She even reacted to pulling a tissue from a box. But she is getting used to more things every day in her foster home. She will do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes. She is currently in a foster home with a fenced in yard and does better with that as she is still learning what walking on a leash is all about. Liberty is a super sweet and loving dog that would love a forever home that is calm and patient to help her learn to enjoy house dog life. Liberty is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Story
We have 2 Bernese mountain dogs that work on the farm. They are super friendly, but they need lots of attention, we are trying to keep them in the fields but they don’t like it. They were trained for about 6 months but since we are only at the farm once a week, they are not getting enough attention and their training is not working since there is no one to continue it. They are lovely, sweet, and affectionate dogs that could possibly become indoor dogs with the right training. They have been outdoor dogs for their entire lives, and need space or frequent walks if they were to become indoor dogs. With some training and love they could become excellent companions. All we wish is for him to go into a loving home.

Story
Meet Polly Pocket Polly Pocket is a lovely 3‑year‑old Bernedoodle, weighing about 38 lbs, who is just beginning to discover what it means to be cared for and valued. She came to the rescue after being surrendered by a commercial breeder who no longer wanted her, and she’s now ready for a fresh start. Polly is timid and shy, but she has a sweet, cooperative nature. While she can be unsure in new situations, she allows all handling, does well on leash, and has shown that she wants to be gentle and compliant. Once she understands what’s being asked of her, she tries her best. Since arriving, Polly has been fully groomed and did wonderfully, handling the experience better than expected — a great sign of her resilience and trust, even when she’s nervous. Polly is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time and space she needs to relax, build confidence, and learn that life can be soft and predictable. A calm environment and kind adopters who understand shy dogs will help her continue to blossom at her own pace. With consistency, reassurance, and love, Polly has every potential to become a devoted and loyal companion — one who will quietly steal your heart. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website: www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $500 Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, PA Kennel License #5152

Story
Hello, my name is: GretaApprox. DOB: 04/08/2021Weight: 69.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Bernese Mountain DogRescued From: Breeding kennelMiss. Greta is as sweet as pie! While home life is still a little scary, she is making leaps and bounds every day in her confidence. When surrounded by her doggy pals she lets her guard down and bounces around with them, accepting their kisses and affection. While she is still nervous about normal things like going through doorways and approaching humans for attention, she’ll gently wag her tail and listen intently when her foster mom talks to her, telling her she’s a good girl. We can already see her potential slowly slipping through her timid exterior!! Greta is looking for a calm home with a fenced in yard and at least one other dog to show her the ropes. Training is a work in progress, but she is doing very well with her crate training. With time and patience, this gorgeous girl will thrive!
