Story
Baby Cakes is currently in a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Baby Cakes came in with five siblings after being abandoned in the woods in late February/early March 2025. All of her siblings have been adopted and are thriving in their new homes. -She is a special case that will need a loving, very patient home. She is very shy and needs to feel safe and loved. You can see her disposition in the YouTube video attached. -Just turned 1 year old (January 1st) -Approximately 50-55 pounds -DNA testing shows she is 74% Great Pyrenees/18% Miniature Australian Shepherd/8% Boxer -Does great with other dogs large and small, would probably help her come out of her shell more. Small, yappy dogs stress her out. -Would do well with one-on-one attention -Best environment would be a quiet home. If there are children in the home, they need to be over 14 years old or so. -Needs an elevated bed or soft bed to lay on -Would need a fenced yard since she would be a flight risk (at least in the beginning when she's learning to trust her new family). Watch her video: https://youtube.com/shorts/cRBr78S6TkM See the rescue video when her litter was found: https://www.facebook.com/61556973118844/videos/641365195044815 Baby Cakes is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed and a fecal test, and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Story
Beautiful Betsy is an 18-month-old purebred Great Pyrenees who truly lives up to her name. At 85 pounds, she’s a stunning girl with a heart to match—gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet sweetness. Betsy recently lost the only family she has ever known due to circumstances beyond her control. A divorce forced her devoted human mom and four children to move into a small home without a yard, and with great love and heartbreak, her mom chose what was best for Betsy’s future rather than holding onto her.   Betsy is very familiar with family life and has been raised around children, other dogs, and even cats. She once had four puppies of her own and showed nothing but tenderness and devotion as a mother, which speaks volumes about her nurturing nature. While she has not been used as a livestock guardian—and we do not want that life for her—she is perfectly suited for a home where she can enjoy both indoor comfort and outdoor space. Betsy dreams of a soft place to nap, a couch to share, and evenings spent lounging nearby as you snack and unwind, happily serving as a fluffy pillow or loyal movie companion.   She walks nicely on a leash, has good house manners, and can be crated for reasonable periods, though she should not be left confined for long workdays. Betsy travels well in the car and would make a wonderful road-trip partner. Like the classic Great Pyrenees, she has a calm, happy demeanor and a peaceful presence that fills a home with warmth.   We are hoping to find Betsy a stable, loving forever home with a securely fenced yard, ideally half an acre or more, where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors safely. If you feel called to help this special girl begin her next chapter—one filled with love, comfort, and belonging—please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 18, 2026, 3:24 pm

Story
MEET SOLACE Allow me to introduce you to… Solace. Her name means comfort. Peace. Shelter for the heart. Which is fitting—because that’s exactly what she needed when we found her. Solace was abandoned. No leash. No goodbye. No explanation. Just a beautiful Great Pyrenees left behind like she didn’t matter. But look at her now. Still soft. Still trusting. Still standing tall like she doesn’t know how to stop being good—even after humans failed her. She didn’t come out angry. She came out gentle. Some dogs get rescued and become loud about it. They bark their gratitude. They demand reassurance. Solace? She became quiet in that way that says: “I’m ready to belong… if you are.” She’s calm, soulful, and steady—the kind of dog who changes the energy of a room just by being in it. The kind who leans in softly and makes everything feel okay again. Welcome to safety, sweet girl. Now all that’s missing… is home. Solace is ready to find her forever family. If your heart has room for comfort, peace, and unconditional love—she may be waiting for you. Adoption Fee: $250 Currently located in Fosters, AL and can be transported North to an adopter for an additional $200. Interested in adopting? Story
**Meet Grizzly!** Grizzly is a rugged and handsome Great Pyrenees with the heart of a warrior and the soul of a gentle giant. This big boy has so much love to give, and once you look into those soulful eyes, you’ll know he’s something special.
