Story
Meet Rooster 🐾 Rooster is a one-and-a-half-year-old mini Bernedoodle weighing 21 pounds of sweetness and potential. He enjoys having animal companions and is currently living with another dog and a kitten in his foster home. He would do especially well in a home with another friendly pet to help him continue building confidence. Rooster came from a commercial breeder situation and had little to no meaningful interaction with people before coming into foster care about a month and a half ago. Because of that, he is still learning how to be a dog in a home and how to trust the people around him. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him build that bond at his own pace. Rooster does best when people allow him to come to them rather than expecting immediate affection. With patience and consistency, he continues to make steady progress. He would likely do well in a home with an older child who understands that he is still a sensitive, sometimes nervous little dog. A patient and gentle child who respects his space could become a special person in his world. Rooster loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and people who enjoy spending time outdoors. He’s turned “coming back inside” into his own daily game, which adds a little personality to his routine. He is crate trained and settles well in his crate, especially when foster mom has to go out or go to work, as his curiosity can sometimes get the best of him. When given structure, he does very well. At night, he enjoys sleeping with his pack in bed. Rooster is also learning how to walk on a leash. With a calm, confident person on the other end, he walks beautifully and continues to grow in confidence. Rooster is neutered, microchipped, fully up to date on vaccines, and recently had a dental cleaning. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently being fostered in Spring City, Pennsylvania and his chosen family should be prepared to travel there for his adoption. Meet and greets with all resident pets are part of the application process. Rooster isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for someone willing to see past his shy beginnings and invest in the loyal, loving dog he’s becoming. With patience, kindness, and time, he will form a deep and meaningful bond with his person. If you sound like Rooster’s kind of person, apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Sinking Spring, PA Kennel License 9117

Story
SADIE was adopted from us as a pup and, sadly, needs to find a “retirement” home as their living arrangements are changing and Sadie will not be able to accompany them. Sadie is now almost a 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog (DOB 4/29/2019)  she is located in NJ so you must travel for the first meet and greet. Here is a writeup from her current family:   ”Sadie is a sensitive, soulful girl with the classic Berner sweetness. Once she feels safe and settled, she becomes the gentle, affectionate companion the breed is known for. She loves being near her people and has a calm, comforting presence in the home. She bonds deeply and will absolutely melt your heart when she trusts you. Sadie has been evaluated by a behaviorist and diagnosed with “World Fear,” a tendency for heightened fear/anxiety that can be seen in some Berners. She is currently on Buspirone and Gabapentin (twice daily), which have helped her tremendously.Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. Sudden activity (like children running or toys flying) can overwhelm her. When anxious, she withdraws or hides — she is not aggressive.Sadie enjoys her daily walks and does well with a steady routine. Give her a soft spot on the couch, and she’ll happily snuggle in close. With patience, routine, and reassurance, Sadie will settle in beautifully. Like many sensitive dogs, she may need a couple of weeks to decompress in a new environment. Once she feels safe, her affectionate Berner personality shines.'   We would love a home with Bernese or similar breed experience. There will be a rehoming/adoption fee of $150. Her parents have done a wonderful job with her vetting and excellent vet reference is a must. Home visit required. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you are interested in adding Sadie to your family!  March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

**HENLEY`S ADOPTION FEE IS FULLY SPONSORED**Hello, my name is: HenleyApprox. DOB: 7/26/2020Weight: 54.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain DogRescued From: Breeding kennelThe world of a house pet is brand new to Henley. In just a short time, she’s made some progress, but she’s still learning how to feel truly safe and comfortable as a beloved pet. Henley draws confidence and comfort from her canine foster sisters—watching them closely and following their lead—so she’ll need a calm home with at least one other friendly dog to help her continue to blossom. She’s still a bit tentative with people, but with patience and a soft approach, her trust is growing day by day. Henley is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and she’s starting to understand the daily routines. One of her favorite things is curling up in a cozy dog bed or quietly hanging out near her doggy pals. Henley needs a quiet, understanding environment where she can take her time and move at her own pace. With love and patience, she’ll become an incredibly loyal and loving addition to the right home!!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Henley and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
