Story
Meet Marlee:  Marlee is in the Pottstown, PA area and would love to meet you. Marlee is a beautiful 5 year old Great Pyrenees / Boxer / super mutt mix that weighs around 80 lbs. Marlee was found as a stray when she wandered up to a country home looking for food. Marlee is very friendly and gets along with most dogs and cats. She gets along with her three foster siblings, 2 females and one male. She is quite playful with them, especially the girls. Marlee is happiest outside and being outside alone is okay with her. Marlee loves people and children; she is affectionate and loves to sleep with her humans. Marlee is crate trained and house trained - she will let you know when she needs to go out. Marlee has been doing well on the leash for walks, though at times she can be reactive when she sees another dog, but her foster is working with her on this behavior. Marlee is up to date on all her shots and spayed. Marlee will need a home with a fenced in yard or dog experience. If interested in adopting this sweet girl please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application. REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard Kennel License #17584 CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Home in Pottstown, PA 19464 ##1469121##

Story
I adopted Bottega from the Harrisburg Humane Society 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to care for Bottega and I have medical complications, which make it hard for me to have the energy for Bottega anymore. He is an adorable and lovable 2 year old Husky mix. He is very active and definitely not for a couch potato. He enjoys long runs, hikes in the mountains, and the dog park. He also loves toys such as tennis balls, rubber bouncy balls, Kong ropes, puzzles, and anything that squeaks. He is very friendly, crate trained and house trained. He does have behaviors which subside with Gabapentin and Trazidone. With medication and time for training, Bottega would make a great addition to any family. He loves children and other dogs. He can't be in a home with cats or small dogs.

Story
Dexter is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix who is ready to find a family to call his own. This gentle giant was surrendered due to a change in his familys living situation & becoming protective over his family. Now, he is searching for a kind-hearted home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.Though Dexter is a bit shy when meeting new people, once he trusts you, he will shower you with affection, offering all the hugs and cuddles a dog can give! At heart, he is a big, soft teddy bear who just wants to be close to his loved ones. Because he is a little timid, Dexter would thrive in a calm, peaceful environment where he can take his time adjusting and building confidence at his own pace. He previously lived with a cat & another dog, but we would definitely hold meet & greets with any other current dogs. He would be extremely happy as your one and only pet. He prefers a home without small children but would do ok with older dog-savvy kids Breed experience not required but highly preferred. He can get very protective of his family so his ideal home would be a place without frequent visitors and a lot of space to run. We will cover the cost of a few training sessions with Dexter after adoption. On walks, Dexter loves to sniff everything he can, so he is a curious companion. He could use a bit of a refresher when it comes to leash manners, as he tends to get a little excited about all the wonderful scents. With some gentle training, hell be walking like a pro in no time!Dexter is crate-trained and house-trained, so he is well-behaved indoors. He enjoys lounging around but is always up for a quiet stroll or a bit of outdoor playtime if the mood strikes. He is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a calm, affectionate dog with a loving nature. If you are looking for a loyal friend who will offer endless love and devotion, Dexter could be the one for you. Come meet this sweet boy and see how he fits right into your family he is waiting for his second chance at happiness! Story
We adopted radio from PAWS rescue. He was found with his little mates in Tennessee. He is a Great Pyrenees/heeler mix. He is now 8 months old. He likes to chase our cats but they are not to fond of him. We have 3 other dogs in our house. He gets along well with them but our one does not care for him because she is senior. We feel he would be better suited in a house with older children as we have a toddler and he is constantly getting knocked over and pushed by him since he is a larger dog. He is a great dog but just sadly was not a good fit for our house

Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Neo and his five littermates were born on December 29 and are currently living in a foster home with other dogs and pets. The puppies have begun leash and house training and have been working on good manners from an early age. Teaching puppies good manners helps them become better dogs, and consistent training reduces the likelihood that they will be surrendered to a shelter. Their mother, Nova Lee, and her two nine-month-old sisters, Willow and Stormy, were rescued from a difficult situation due to their owners' struggles with addiction. The sisters survived a house fire, and Nova Lee and Willow had to deliver their puppies in the burnt-out home. Stormy gave birth to her pups after being rescued. Nova Lee, Stormy, and Willow have already found loving homes. Stormy, Nellie’s aunt, recently had a DNA test done, and the results are available in the pictures. The father of all three litters is a Great Pyrenees mix, so some of the puppies may grow quite large. Neo and his littermates are receiving monthly treatment for generalized demodectic mange with Bravecto. Demodex mites are naturally transferred from mother to puppies, and the immune system usually keeps them under control. However, in some puppies, a delay or defect in immune development can lead to an uncontrollable population of mites. Demodectic mange in puppies is a skin condition caused by the Demodex canis mite. All dogs carry these mites in small numbers. The condition is not contagious and likely stems from their stressful beginnings. Adoption Fee $475 includes neuter or ($75 refund with proof of neuter)   Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email: rescuedp2024@icloud.com   or ddlu219@yahoo.com  for dog/puppies.   APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG         BIRD        REPTILE          SMALL ANIMALS        April 13, 2025, 5:20 pm
