Story
Meet Rooster 🐾 Rooster is a one-and-a-half-year-old mini Bernedoodle weighing 21 pounds of sweetness and potential. He enjoys having animal companions and is currently living with another dog and a kitten in his foster home. He would do especially well in a home with another friendly pet to help him continue building confidence. Rooster came from a commercial breeder situation and had little to no meaningful interaction with people before coming into foster care about a month and a half ago. Because of that, he is still learning how to be a dog in a home and how to trust the people around him. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him build that bond at his own pace. Rooster does best when people allow him to come to them rather than expecting immediate affection. With patience and consistency, he continues to make steady progress. He would likely do well in a home with an older child who understands that he is still a sensitive, sometimes nervous little dog. A patient and gentle child who respects his space could become a special person in his world. Rooster loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and people who enjoy spending time outdoors. He’s turned “coming back inside” into his own daily game, which adds a little personality to his routine. He is crate trained and settles well in his crate, especially when foster mom has to go out or go to work, as his curiosity can sometimes get the best of him. When given structure, he does very well. At night, he enjoys sleeping with his pack in bed. Rooster is also learning how to walk on a leash. With a calm, confident person on the other end, he walks beautifully and continues to grow in confidence. Rooster is neutered, microchipped, fully up to date on vaccines, and recently had a dental cleaning. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently being fostered in Spring City, Pennsylvania and his chosen family should be prepared to travel there for his adoption. Meet and greets with all resident pets are part of the application process. Rooster isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for someone willing to see past his shy beginnings and invest in the loyal, loving dog he’s becoming. With patience, kindness, and time, he will form a deep and meaningful bond with his person. If you sound like Rooster’s kind of person, apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Sinking Spring, PA Kennel License 9117

Story
SADIE was adopted from us as a pup and, sadly, needs to find a “retirement” home as their living arrangements are changing and Sadie will not be able to accompany them. Sadie is now almost a 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog (DOB 4/29/2019)  she is located in NJ so you must travel for the first meet and greet. Here is a writeup from her current family:   ”Sadie is a sensitive, soulful girl with the classic Berner sweetness. Once she feels safe and settled, she becomes the gentle, affectionate companion the breed is known for. She loves being near her people and has a calm, comforting presence in the home. She bonds deeply and will absolutely melt your heart when she trusts you. Sadie has been evaluated by a behaviorist and diagnosed with “World Fear,” a tendency for heightened fear/anxiety that can be seen in some Berners. She is currently on Buspirone and Gabapentin (twice daily), which have helped her tremendously.Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. Sudden activity (like children running or toys flying) can overwhelm her. When anxious, she withdraws or hides — she is not aggressive.Sadie enjoys her daily walks and does well with a steady routine. Give her a soft spot on the couch, and she’ll happily snuggle in close. With patience, routine, and reassurance, Sadie will settle in beautifully. Like many sensitive dogs, she may need a couple of weeks to decompress in a new environment. Once she feels safe, her affectionate Berner personality shines.'   We would love a home with Bernese or similar breed experience. There will be a rehoming/adoption fee of $150. Her parents have done a wonderful job with her vetting and excellent vet reference is a must. Home visit required. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you are interested in adding Sadie to your family!  March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

**HENLEY`S ADOPTION FEE IS FULLY SPONSORED**Hello, my name is: HenleyApprox. DOB: 7/26/2020Weight: 54.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain DogRescued From: Breeding kennelThe world of a house pet is brand new to Henley. In just a short time, she’s made some progress, but she’s still learning how to feel truly safe and comfortable as a beloved pet. Henley draws confidence and comfort from her canine foster sisters—watching them closely and following their lead—so she’ll need a calm home with at least one other friendly dog to help her continue to blossom. She’s still a bit tentative with people, but with patience and a soft approach, her trust is growing day by day. Henley is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and she’s starting to understand the daily routines. One of her favorite things is curling up in a cozy dog bed or quietly hanging out near her doggy pals. Henley needs a quiet, understanding environment where she can take her time and move at her own pace. With love and patience, she’ll become an incredibly loyal and loving addition to the right home!!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Henley and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🤎🐾 Meet Joy — 80 Pounds of Fluff, Love & Classic Bernese Goofiness 🐾🤎 6 Years Old • 80 lbs • Bernese Mountain Dog If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a real-life teddy bear who occasionally trips over her own feet… Joy is your girl. At 6 years old and 80 pounds, Joy is everything people adore about Bernese Mountain Dogs — sweet, gentle, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. She has that classic “Berner heart” that leans into you for pets, follows you from room to room, and looks at you like you personally invented sunshine. Joy is calm and affectionate, but don’t let that fool you — she absolutely has her silly moments. The famous “Bernese bounce” makes regular appearances, usually when she’s excited to see you or when she remembers she has legs and should use them. She’s wonderful with other dogs and friendly with everyone she meets. Truly, she’s a social butterfly wrapped in 80 pounds of fluff. And let’s talk about her love language: brushing. Spa day? Best day. Brushing session? Yes please. Extra brushing session? Also yes. She will happily stand (or lean dramatically) while you brush her and tell her how beautiful she is. She agrees, by the way. Because of her size and joyful enthusiasm, we’d recommend a home without very little kids. She would never mean to, but during one of her happy-go-lucky moments she could accidentally knock over a tiny human. Older kids who understand “big fluffy dog incoming!” would be just fine. Joy’s Highlights: • 6 years old — past the puppy chaos, fully into the sweet spot • 80 lbs of fluffy devotion • Typical gentle, loving Bernese personality • Good with other dogs • Friendly with people • Professional-level brushing enthusiast • Goofy in the most endearing way If you’re looking for a big, beautiful best friend who will warm your feet, fill your home with love, and occasionally make you laugh with her adorable clumsiness, Joy is ready to bring exactly what her name promises — pure joy. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this fluffy sweetheart start her forever chapter with you. 🐾🤎

Story
Meet Liberty. Liberty is a 5 year old 65 lbs Bernese mountain dog/poodle mix that Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  She is a magnificent dog with a few areas needing work.  She has only had a couple of potty accidents so is almost housebroken.  She is almost crate trained but will need help going in.  We feed her in the crate(all our volunteers do that with their fosters). Liberty is full of energy and plays wonderfully with our lab.  She understands the commands NO and LEAVE IT but needs work on teaching her to sit with her doodle personality energy. Liberty is good with the cat in the foster’s home. Liberty is still very skittish as most puppy mill dogs have never been exposed to noises common in a home and neighborhood.  She even reacted to pulling a tissue from a box. But she is getting used to more things every day in her foster home. She will do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes. She is currently in a foster home with a fenced in yard and does better with that as she is still learning what walking on a leash is all about. Liberty is a super sweet and loving dog that would love a forever home that is calm and patient to help her learn to enjoy house dog life. Liberty is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
