Story
CJ is the best! He is quiet but attentive. He was my mom’s dog for a few years. He came to me 3 years ago. My work schedule has changed and I am no longer able to keep him. He is bit by of a Velcro dog. He likes company. He NEVER barks (he can). He is a senior dog who is house trained and just a chill dog all around. I would love ve for him to go to a place where he will continue to get a few walks through out the day and car rides that make his tail fly!

Story
🐾✨ Meet Dali — A Sweet, Smart & Affectionate Poochon ✨🐾 📍 Location: Korea 🇰🇷 (able to fly once adopted ✈️) 🐶 Name: Dali 🎂 Age: 2 years old ♂️ Gender: Male ⚖️ Weight: 6 kg / 13 lb 🐕 Breed: Poochon 🎨 Color: Ivory ✂️ Neutered: Yes 🧡 Personality & Social Skills Dali is a sweet, affectionate, and very smart little boy who loves attention and being close to his person. 🥰 He loves being touched and cuddled and can be very affectionate once he feels comfortable. He can be a little stubborn at times, but he is clever and learns quickly. He may be shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, he warms up and becomes loving and affectionate. 👩 With women: May be shy at first but warms up quickly. 👨 With men: Needs a little more time to feel comfortable, but becomes friendly once he gets to know them. 🐶 With dogs: He has limited experience with other dogs and may bark when he sees them. Once they are closer, he generally does well without major issues. 🐱 With cats: Does well with cats. 🏠 Lifestyle & Training ✔ Medium energy ✔ Fully potty trained indoors & outdoors ✔ Crate training in progress ✔ Leash walking practice in progress and improving ✔ Travels well in the car 🚗 ✔ Apartment-friendly ✔ Yard not required ✔ Can live happily as the only dog ✔ No tendency to run away ⚠️ Separation Anxiety Dali does have separation anxiety and may bark when left alone. He may also bark at outside noises or doorbells. Because of this, his ideal family would be someone who can give him time, patience, and gradual training to help him feel safe and comfortable when alone. 🤍 He may occasionally chew on hard objects because his teeth can still feel itchy, so appropriate chew toys are recommended. 💔 Rescue Story Dali was originally raised by a couple. After they separated, however, Dali was left alone and neglected in the home for a long period of time. Despite spending so much time alone, Dali has remained a loving and affectionate little boy who simply wants to be close to his people. 🥹🤍 Now, he is ready for a fresh start and is looking for a family who will never leave him behind again. 🌈 Dali is hoping to find a patient and loving forever family where he can finally feel safe, loved, and truly at home. 🏡🤍

Story
🐾 Meet Gureum🐾 📍 Current location: South Korea ❤ Age: about 6-7 years old ❤ Gender: n. male ❤ Weight: 11 kg ❤ Breed: Bichon frise ❤ Health: Fully vaccinated, Overall healthy 🐶 Personality & Behavior 💖 People-friendly – Loves people and is very affectionate 💖 Kid-friendly – indifferent to kids 💖 Dog-friendly – he gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller dogs or the same size dogs. He doesnt like large jindo or large jindo mix breeds, bcz he was often attacked by stray jindos. 💖 Cat-friendly –no issues, not very interested for them (video attached) ✅ Toilet-trained: prefers Outdoors and using peepads indoors ✅ Leash manners: Enjoys walks and matches your pace. ✅ Energy level: Usually he is very calm. He shows big excitement, when going for walks and when seeing you get home. ✅ Handling: Comfortable with touch and bathing ✅ Escape instinct: no ✅ Prey drive: no ✅ Guarding tendency: He likes balls and is sometimes obsessed with them ✅ Crate trained: Currently in training ✅ Barking: He barely barks at noises outside ✅ Separationsanxiety: None so far 💔 Rescue Story He was abandoned by his pervious owner in a farm due to the marriage issue, her husband didn't want to keep the dog. As we found him, his hinterquaters were covered in countless bite wounds from repeated attacks by other straydogs. ‼️ Special notes He is protective of his owner and will lunge at strangers, especially men, while barking. But he is not very strong, is easy to handle and controll. He responds well to a light leash correction and will usually stop the behavior. However we believe that he'd do the best with an adopter who has prior experience with dogs.

Story
If there ever was a dog who needed human kindness and love, it is Ziggy. Ten-year-old Ziggy, a Poodle/Bichon mix, has spent much of his life being overlooked and neglected. When no other rescue was willing to step forward, CACC opened its doors, and its heart, to this deserving little dog. Years of neglect took a devastating toll. Ziggy lost his vision, most of his teeth, and faced several other medical challenges. Yet somehow, the hardships he endured never dimmed his sweet spirit. He still greets each day with trust, a wagging tail, and a heart full of love. After everything he has been through, Ziggy still chooses joy. He is a beautiful reminder of the resilience of dogs. Despite the difficult life he has known, Ziggy remains a gentle, affectionate soul who enjoys the company of people, other dogs, and likely even cats. He can be silly, playful, and even mischievous at times. Most of all, he loves being close to his people and sharing the simple happiness of everyday life. Ziggy adores curling up in a warm lap and is happiest when he";s simply included in whatever you're doing. He has learned to navigate the world without sight and adapts remarkably well to new environments. Once he learns the layout of a home, he moves around with surprising confidence, happily trotting toward the sound of a familiar voice. Blindness doesn"t define Ziggy; it is simply one small part of who he is. Fully potty trained, Ziggy sleeps soundly through the night in his x-pen without needing a potty break. Even more amazing, he is a very low-maintenance companion who requires only minimal accommodations for his blindness. His future family will simply need to help him gradually explore the outdoors and, most importantly, shower him with the love and affection he has gone without for far too long. These days, Ziggy finds joy in life's simplest pleasures: a tasty treat, a gentle cuddle, sniffing around the yard, or stretching out for a nap in a sunny spot. He doesn't need grand adventures or endless activity. What he longs for is a safe home, a soft bed, and someone whose voice he can learn by heart. For most of his life, Ziggy has known what it feels like to be unwanted. We want his next chapter to be different. We want him to know what it means to be cherished, protected, and deeply loved. What Ziggy wants most now is simple: comfort, companionship, and a family to call his own. In return, he offers the kind of devotion that only a grateful old soul can give. Though he cannot see the people who love him, he feels their kindness completely. If you have room in your heart for this extraordinary little dog, please let us know. Opening your home to Ziggy may be one of the most meaningful acts of kindness you'll ever make, and one of the most rewarding. Some dogs leave paw prints on your floor. Dogs like Ziggy leave paw prints on your heart forever.

Story
Looking for a new BEST friend? Meet Sully! This handsome 1-year-old, 16-pound Bichon mix is a happy, loving boy who came to AFC as a stray, very matted and with a badly infected eye. His eye infection was caused by a foxtail that had become lodged in his eye. Thankfully, his eye is healing, and Sully is now ready for his forever home! Sully is good with other dogs, especially females, and loves playing with his toys and his people. He is a happy, playful boy who is leash trained and enjoys his walks! He may need some continued house-training, but he knows how to use the doggy door and goes outside to potty when told, “Go potty!” He is an active loving boy. Sully is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and flea treated. His beautiful Bichon mix coat will require regular professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. This sweet boy is ready to be someone’s BEST friend! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4.
