**FOSTER UPDATE** “Fleur started out quite scared on Day One, but on Day Two she transformed into an inquisitive lapdog!” Isn’t it amazing what a little love and patience can do? ✨Meet Fleur!✨ Fleur came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. She lived a very difficult life before and is slowly learning to trust us and her new surroundings. We know that with patience, understanding, and time, she will make a wonderful family member for the right home. Her adopters should be prepared to move slowly, keep expectations reasonable, and use positive reinforcement as she adjusts to her new surroundings and learns to feel safe. We promise there is no love like a mill mama's love! All of our animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, and any other necessary medical care. After adoption, dogs need time to adjust to their new homes and thrive with families who can provide exercise, enrichment, positive reinforcement training, and socialization. Ginny was surrendered to us by a breeding kennel because there was “something wrong with her leg.” When our vet examined her, we discovered that her leg had been badly broken and was healing on its own. We made sure she was comfortable and kept her calm while her body continued to heal. Now, she’s recovered and ready to start the next—and best—chapter of her life with her forever family!Ginny is spunk, sweetness, and uncontrollable cuteness wrapped up in one tiny package! She’s still learning her manners and finding appropriate outlets for her energy (think chewing on toys instead of socks), so her forever family will need patience—and long pants to protect their ankles while she learns! With lightning speed, Ginny can seemingly teleport from one side of the house to the other.
