Bae Bae was surrendered to NorthStar when his owner could no longer care for him. This boy is a 2-year-old Bichon Frise/Poodle mix weighing 14 lbs. He's friendly and outgoing with people & gets along well with other dogs. Bae Bae is definitely crate trained & sleeps all night in his crate without a peep. He isn't completely housetrained as he does have accidents in the house. He goes potty outside but doesn't ask to go out. Because he is one of those little dogs with a loud bark, Bae Bae would not be an appropriate fit for someone who lives in an apartment or condo or any type of attached dwelling. Bae Bae has been socializing pretty well with the dogs in his foster home. He barks sometimes at them, but not in an aggressive way. He hasn't had any exposure to cats.  He does not bark at other dogs when walking on his leash. He walks very well on a leash even in a group of 4 dogs.   Bae Bae wants to be in the same room as his people because he knows that's the place to be! He’s curious when humans are eating but not aggressive.  He plays fetch and drops it nicely. Meet one of our newest puppy mill rescues, Millie! This 5 ish year old Bichon girl spend her whole life in cage in an Amish puppymill and is still getting used to the idea that there is a better life out there. She’s timid but sweet and already starting to wag her tail at us, the boldest and most social of the most recent bichon trio we took in. She had an entire pack of Q-Tips’ worth of yeasty debris in her ears and is getting treated for an ear infection as well as a dental, and she’s spayed and updated on shots. She loves other dogs and is a follower, so a home with at least one other more social dog is a must for sure. Housebreaking and leash walking are still foreign concepts and she will need time and patience. She’s 17lbs full grown and ready to start her new life. Meet Blossom..... Blossom is a 5 year old petite Bichon - poo. She has spent her life as a breeding machine in a midwest puppy mill. Those days are now behind her. Blossom is under 10 pounds. She is very sweet and gentle. She seems very friendly with other dogs, and should be fine with cats. Blossom is considered hypoallergenic. We think her best placement would be in a quieter home where she can thrive and feel comfortable and confident. Blossom is current on all vaccines and will be spayed on April 15th. We will be showing her before her spay, but she will not be able to physically leave the foster home until April 18th.
