Hi! My name is Grace, and I’m an adorable 7-year-old female Bichon Frise. I weigh about 8 lbs and am thrilled to be looking for my forever home! I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility, where I lived in harsh conditions. Despite my rough start, I’m sweet, loving, and ready to give my new family all my affection.  I am blind in one eye and limited vision in the other eye. I’m looking for a family who can offer me plenty of love and care, and I’d thrive in a home where I can get the attention and warmth I deserve. My adoption fee is $1,495 and includes: Spay/neuter DA2PP vaccinations Rabies and Bordetella shots Deworming Heartworm test Microchip Boarding fees Health certificate Airline transport costs A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own or purchase an AirTag from us. Please note that we cannot guarantee exact age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the lives of other dogs in need of rescue and medical care. Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The adoption fee is tax-deductible and goes directly toward helping more dogs like me find their forever homes. Ready to adopt me? Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Pippi from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 3 year old female Bichon Frise.  I am about 15 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,795 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     August 9, 2025, 3:51 am

Story
Meet Lilikoi – shy, sweet, and learning to trust Lilikoi is a gentle little pup who’s slowly coming out of her shell. She’s still a bit timid, but every day she gets braver—whether it's trying new things, going up and down stairs, or learning to trust someone new. She’s come a long way already and is full of love for the right person. She sleeps soundly at night and much prefers cuddling up with her person over spending time in a kennel. She's shown signs of being potty trained and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home, but learning her cues (like sniffing and circling) will help her stay on track. Lilikoi does great with calm, respectful kids and has lived peacefully with another dog—but it’s clear she prefers to be the one and only. She thrives when she has her person all to herself and really just wants to be someone’s shadow. While she’s not aggressive, she’s sensitive and deeply attached to her people. She’s also working through some separation anxiety and tends to bark when left alone, so she’ll do best with someone home more often than not. Her ideal home is quiet and patient, with someone willing to go slow and help her continue to build confidence. Once she bonds, she’s incredibly loyal and affectionate—a true companion dog who wants nothing more than to be close to the one she loves. If you’re looking for a soft, steady presence who will blossom with time and care, Lilikoi might be your perfect match. ----- A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means: ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment. ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing). ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed. The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like. Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are. Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Boom is a Bichon Frise/ Shih Tzu puppy. He loves having a buddy to play with. Boom tends to initiate play when outside, whereas he tends to follow when he is inside. Keel sleeps in the pen with Boom sleeps in a pen in the living room with another dog, usually sprawled out on the floor, not in a bed. He seems to mostly sleep through the night. If he does wake up, he doesn’t wake the household up. Now that he has settled into the house, he takes long naps in the afternoon. He is working on potty training, but will definitely need help. He does not have concerning habits. He hangs out constantly with the other puppy and the kids (ages 12 and 15) without troubles. He met a littermate at the vet, and behaved fine. He is good with children and rides well in a car. -----
