Shong is a sweet and adorable 5-year-old male Bichon Poodle mix, weighing about 6 kg (13 lbs) with a small and compact frame. His charming looks and affectionate personality make him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loving, playful dog. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, Shong’s previous owner was unable to care for him any longer, and he was surrendered to a shelter. Now, Shong is ready for a fresh start and is looking for a new family to love him. Through his time in training, Shong has shown great adaptability, though he may still miss his previous owner from time to time. However, Shong is a people-loving dog, and he thrives on human interaction. He enjoys giving and receiving affection and often shows his playful side with sweet, endearing gestures. While he bonds closely with his humans, he is not as interested in other dogs, preferring quality time with his family. Despite being 5 years old, Shong still has a playful, curious nature. He occasionally gets into mischief, like tearing up tissues or playing around when left alone—this is simply his youthful, energetic side coming out. While there are no major behavioral issues, it's important to keep an eye on him, especially when adjusting to a new environment, as he may express his excitement or curiosity in different ways. Since Shong is a male, he might mark in new places, so it’s recommended to use a belly band to help him adjust to his surroundings. Shong is mostly pad-trained but may have occasional accidents in unfamiliar places. Fortunately, he loves walks, so with regular outdoor potty breaks, he can be trained to consistently go outside. Walks are an excellent opportunity for him to bond with his family, and he enjoys meeting other dogs, which helps him develop his social skills further. When it comes to noise, Shong will occasionally bark, but he quickly responds to commands like "stop" and will immediately stop barking and come to his owner. This shows that he respects his humans and values the connection with them, a wonderful trait for building a strong bond. Shong is currently on a chicken-based diet, but considering his tear stains and past ear issues, allergy-friendly food would be a better choice for his long-term health and well-being. Albie is a chill 11-12 year old senior looking for his new home. He spends most of his day napping and when the sun is out, looks for spots to sunbathe. He came to us from a shelter when he was estimated to be 1 year old with most of his habits already developed. He is food motivated and protects his food. He does not play with toys and not interested in a toy unless food is involved. He is not very active and loves to be petted every now and then. Unfortunately, with our life changes we are unable to give him the attention he needs and deserves. He is fine at the vet but hates the groomers so you will need to be able to groom him yourself or find a groomer that will work with anxious dogs. He is potty trained, but because he is getting older, he does have occasional accidents, especially when he is excited. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, and paw. He prefers to lounge indoors and does not pay much attention to other pets or kids unless they take his food.

Takes time to warm up, but once getting comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. Feels uncomfortable with overly aggressive doggy friends! Of course they always want money for some of the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. With beautiful Nebula she was used over & over again as a breeding machine & spent her life in a cage. These innocent souls lives were instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. She was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Nebula. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Nebula how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Nebula & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This girl is a very special girl. We noticed instantly she is the guardian angel of the group. She watches to make sure nothing is happening to her friends, the other mums. It’s as if they are her babies. She has one of the nicest & sweetest personalities we have seen. She lets us pick her up & she is so sweet & innocent & such a lovely little lady & wants you to love her & be affectionate with her. She is so easy go with the flow type of personality. She absolutely adores her 2 friends she came with, another bichon & a Maltese. Everything is all so new to her & she is learning how she should have always been cherished. We also tested her in a daycare environment & she has done well in that environment. The reality is, the rescue is her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. The fact too that no one can ever be cruel to her ever again. She was shaved down to the skin & we see the breeders do this when they are so very matted so it’s only beginning to grown back in. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not ever get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her friends who we rescued together. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. Believe it or not she just lets you do anything to her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. Since we have had her she has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Nebula rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Nebula as you can imagine spent her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Nebula where someone is home during the day or she can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Nebula is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Nebula has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her friends she came with. She will be found snuggled up with them. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard if you have a freestanding home. Nebula is roughly 9.4 lbs & he is roughly 6 years old & ‭a bichon‬. What she is mixed with we are not sure. Female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis & rabies. She had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays & had 1 tooth removed. She had 1 minor molar removed. We have spent far more on Nebula with getting her from a commercial breeder & cleaning up what he did to her. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Nebula has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she adores them but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Nebula was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Nebula’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Nebula potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Nebula & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system.
