Story
Millie came to our family almost 10 years ago and we rescued her from the California kill shelter. She loves belly rubs, a lot of higs and snuggles, she barks at everyone but is harmless, loves to sleep in the bed with you and loves walk abouts. We moved from a house with a big yard after a divorce to an apartment where there are a lot of dogs. If the dogs energy is good so is hers but she definitely has become more on guard. She has become slower with age but still has her spunk after her baths, walks are slower and shorter and hates smoke detector sounds and fire alarms, and her sister was a cat.

Story
Caliper has only been in foster care for a few days, and she's already got her favorite person completely wrapped around her paw. She's sweet, curious, and has a very quiet, gentle manner about her. She's going to follow you from room to room, check in on what you're doing, decide you're pretty great, and just... stay. She's a velcro dog and has absolutely no apologies about it. And why should she? Caliper has also, for the record, not had a single indoor accident. Not one. She goes outside in her designated spot every time! She just needs her person standing nearby while she does it, which, when you think about it, is a completely reasonable request, and we respect it. She's still building confidence around loud noises and new situations, and slow introductions to other dogs will set her up for success, but the progress she's already made in just a few days is remarkable. She tolerates baths, ear cleaning, and paw handling like a champ. Caliper would thrive with a patient, loving family who's happy to be her safe place as she continues to come out of her shell. She's not the loudest dog in the room, but she is the one you can't stop thinking about after you've met her! -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

🌼Meet Yeonu— Once Abandoned, Now Happy, Hopeful, and Ready for a Forever Family! Here are more photos and videos of Yeonu: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTHefmckcPj/?igsh=amdoajdkdTM0ZWJh Yeonu was abandoned this winter in a village in Icheon, Korea. After someone reported him, he was taken to a shelter and placed on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, he was rescued and is currently being cared for by his foster family. However, his time there will be for a short time, as they are unable to foster him for too long. He would love to come to the Seattle area to meet his forever family! Name: Yeonu Breed:Bichon Frise Estimated Age: 4 years 3 months Gender: Male Weight: 20 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Energy Level: 3–4 Yeonu loves plushie toys and enjoys playing fetch when toys with them. Otherwise, he is generally calm and relaxed. On walks, he does not show excessive or reactive behavior. At dog parks, he does not run wildly or rush other dogs. Instead, he greets politely and calmly explores the environment on his own. Good with dogs? Yes, Yeonu gets along well with most dogs. He greets dogs he meets on walks with a wagging tail. At dog parks, he sniffs and says hello politely but does not actively engage in rough or energetic play. He seems to have a more introverted personality. Good with cats? Unknown. Good with kids? Gentle children Sociability with people: Friendly with everyone When Yeonu first arrived at his foster home, he approached each family member sitting in the living room one by one to greet them. He may bark briefly at unfamiliar sounds outside or if someone suddenly appears wearing dark clothing, but he calms down quickly. He approaches strangers happily and wags his tail. Potty trained? Yes. Both on wee wee pads and outdoors. Leash manners: Yes. He may pull a little at the start while sniffing and marking, but it’s easy to manage. After a short time, he usually matches his handler’s pace and walks calmly. Barking: He may bark briefly at unfamiliar sounds but stops quickly when reassured. Separation anxiety: Yes. Yeonu has difficulty being completely alone and may bark or howl when left by himself. If at least one person is home, he does well, though he may whine briefly when his primary caregiver leaves and then settles. Mouthiness/nipping: No aggressive behavior. He loves plushy toys and gently mouths them during play. He takes treats well from an open palm, but when offered with fingertips, he may grab eagerly and accidentally catch fingers. Behavior: Occasionally, he may wake up and bark at a sound in the house, but he calms quickly when reassured. Aside from separation anxiety, no major behavioral issues have been observed. Health Notes: X-rays show a possible issue with the left hip. He has mild patellar luxation, with the right knee graded 2 and the left knee graded 1. When he was rescued, he had kennel cough and mycoplasma, completed treatment, and has fully recovered. Additional Notes: He rides calmly in the car and has been comfortable on rides up to 2 hours. He is comfortable in a dog stroller and relaxes in it. He loves treats very much and sometimes needs calming cues like “sit” before receiving them. He enjoys being petted and likes staying close to people he loves, but he is also comfortable resting on his own at a short distance. When people are eating foods he does not recognize as his own, he calmly lies down under the table or nearby. He enjoys fruits and vegetables such as apples, lettuce, and sweet potatoes. When people become excited, dance, or jump around, he gets excited and may attempt mounting behavior by holding onto legs. He behaves very well during grooming. He has completed hygiene grooming sessions of about 40 minutes. He was slightly sensitive during nail trimming but manageable. Ideal home: A family where at least one person can spend most of the day with him. Additional Comments Yeonu was very attached to his foster mom at first and became anxious when she left, even if others were home. With time and some distance created, he improved a lot. After 3–4 weeks, he only whines briefly when she leaves, though being completely alone is still hard for him. Despite this, he is a very relaxed and easygoing dog. The day after arriving, he was already comfortable lying on the sofa, sleeping on his back with his belly up. He accepts baths calmly, though he may shake off water once or twice. He doesn’t like the hair dryer, but will stay still if it’s on a stand and he’s brushed while drying. Tooth brushing is still being trained; he doesn’t enjoy it but tolerates it well without growling or biting. He knows several commands, including sit, paw, high five, nose touch, V sign, and wait. Food allergies have not been confirmed. Like many Bichon-type dogs, he has tear staining that causes discoloration around his mouth and paws. With proper care and identifying the allergens, this should improve over time. He will also need regular maintenance and grooming, like most Bichons. 🌼Yeonu is a sweetheart and is ready to find his forever family to shower him with love and cuddles!💖 For adoption inquiries, please email/ fill out an adoption application via our link on our instagram bio.🌸

Story
Anya was adopted from a rescue agency in Southern California nine years ago for my wife, who was battling cancer at the time. My wife has now passed and I have had to relocate to the Seattle area to be near family. The ADU in which I'm now living does not have a fenced yard, and Anya has always been used to going in and out as she pleases. Anya is now a senior dog and has lost her hearing, but is in otherwise good health. If allowed to go outside or if walked regularly she will not pee or poo in the house, but she does have accidents if left alone for too long.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey, I’m Dash! I’m a Havanese/Poodle mix born around 3/6/2026, and I’m officially looking for my own people. A nice couple found me and my little family near a busy highway after we’d clearly been struggling for a while. We were covered in fleas and ticks, skinny, hungry, and sadly one of my siblings didn’t make it. Luckily, rescue stepped in and now things are looking a whole lot better for me. These days I’m doing what puppies do best — playing with toys, zooming around, and acting like everything is exciting because honestly… it is. I’ll need basic puppy training and regular grooming to keep my fluffy coat looking good, but I promise I’m worth it. I’m fixed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $500. To apply, visit www.adoggie4you.org in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and locations along the East Coast. If transport is needed, an additional fee of $225 will apply. Please note that we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 5, 2026, 4:46 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bubbles, a little Shih Tzu puppy with a fluffy coat, a playful personality, and absolutely no understanding of personal space yet. Bubbles’ mom came to us as a stray in terrible condition — severely matted, neglected, and very pregnant. Shortly after arriving in rescue, she gave birth to four puppies. Sadly, one puppy didn’t survive, but Bubbles and the remaining siblings have grown into healthy, happy puppies now looking for forever homes. Born on February 28, 2026, Bubbles is curious, playful, and into all the normal puppy things like toys, exploring, and getting distracted every five seconds. Like any puppy, he’ll need basic training including housebreaking, crate training, leash walking, and learning manners as he grows up. His future family also needs to be prepared for grooming. Shih Tzus require frequent brushing and regular grooming appointments to prevent painful matting, especially around the behind area. Puppy coats are often even more work while the adult coat comes in, so staying on top of grooming is really important for dogs like Bubbles. Bubbles is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped—he’s all set for his next chapter. His adoption fee is $600. Apply to adopt Bubbles at: www.adoggie4you.org Bubbles is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. There is an additional $250 transport fee. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 5, 2026, 4:46 pm
