Story
Meet Taylor Swift ATTENTION all "Swifties", Taylor Swift has entered the building! My foster family says I'm a fun loving girl. In spite of my humble beginnings, I have quickly learned the ropes to indoor living....and I'm all in. I love warm hugs, cuddles, belly rubs, soft beds, toys, treat-motivated, and having a backyard to run around in. I am still a maturing puppy. Life with my foster family has been much more glamorous than my past life. I live with two kids (as young as 6 years old) and two older dog-brothers. I love the activity of kids and animals; I also enjoy a cozy place next to you for naps. I play with my dog-brothers; we share toys, dog beds, and water bowl. My eldest dog-brother mostly ignores me, but I don't mind. When I arrived at my foster's house, there were a lot of rules I had to learn quickly. I am proud to say I am now house and potty trained! I respond to stay down, do your business, sit, shake, come, and working on get in your crate. I know my name and will come when called if I run out the back gate or through the front door. I sleep in a kennel/crate through the night and during the days when no one is home. I sit, walk on a leash, and take my treats gently. I am however, still refining my manners. My foster mom says I am a little bit jumpy and a lot licky. I am just so happy to have people who care for me that I am still learning the best way to show my appreciation. I have a BIG girl bark but I don't bark often. I like toys, balls, ropes, stuffies, and all kinds of chew toys. I've ridden in the car some and have done well. I am a smart girl, fast learner, and eager to please you. I have caught 1 rat, treed some squirrels and don't know what a cat is. I would do best in a home that likes to have a good time, that likes outdoor activities, with or without other animals. I just need attention and a secure fence with lots of toys. I can't wait to meet you and start living our best lives together. Story
Meet Tank, a charming boy with a heart full of love and a mind full of curiosity. He's got a sweet and friendly nature that makes him a joy to be around. Tank's goofy antics are sure to keep you entertained. His playful and fun-loving spirit is infectious, and he's always up for a walk in the woods or a romp in the park. Tank's combination of smarts, sweetness, and silliness make him a unique companion. Adopting Tank means opening your home to laughter, constant companionship, and unconditional love. He has had a rough time in life, living on the streets then being picked up by someone who kept him for a while only to decide she really didn't want another dog. She took him to the vet for euthanasia. Our vet had pity and decided to give Tank another chance. He was treated for heartworms, vaccinated and neutered while in their care. Please, give Tank a chance to show you just how special he is.

Story
Mr. Banks was found in an elementary school field being chased by kids - now don't feel bad for him, he LOVED it. He is a HUGE fan of kids and was so happy to be running around with them - a home with kids would be great for him. Mr. Banks is a 2 year old Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, around 50lbs. He is a very sweet boy who is house trained and crate trained. He gets along great with other dogs and loves being active with his family. He does need a secure yard or watched outside as he loves to jump and play and if he has no one with him.... well he may try to find someone to play with. He is very smart and walks lovely on leash too. Don't let this one slip away! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Here is a special boy in search of a special adopter! Our Tango is a sweet, 1 year, 3 months old male Black Mouth Cur, Hound mix, with a short black and tan coat. Fully grown, he is a midsized pooch who weighs 49 pounds. Tango is a loveable, goofy, playful, high-energy guy. He is great with children and other dogs. His behavior around cats is unknown, and his house and leash training are all in progress. However, he has worked really hard, and our Tango has mastered his house training. He can pack his bags and move on into his forever home and demonstrate what he has learned. Itis important to remember that although Tango is house trained, accidents can still occur while he is adjusting to his new home environment. Tango has all the tools to become an amazing, lifelong companion. He will benefit from someone who is ready, willing and able to take on high energy boy. Perhaps and equally active family or an equally active canine sibling. Tango will require some extra time and effort, but the benefit will outweigh the work. Patience will be at the heart of his bright future. We know Tango might not be for everyone, but we also know his adopter is out there. Is that very special someone you? The adoption fee for Tango is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.March 5, 2024, 5:57 am
