Story
~ Caspian is about 56lbs, and 12 years old (but you'd never know it). We think he's a black mouth cur mix. He's up for cuddle time or play time whenever you are. He's a sweet boy  who is easy to get along with loves  everyone and affection.  He may be a senior but he doesn't seem to know it.  He loves his walks and running in the yard, loves to snuggle and take long naps too.  He would do best in a home without small children. He is fine with cats, and he's crate trained, house broken, and neutered.  Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com to find out if Caspian is the right one for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!  We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 15, 2024, 10:55 pm

She's short and squat and sweet as can be. Gabby is taking time to adjust to her new surroundings and is very hesitant of her new digs. She's currently decided that her foster parents' bedroom on the 2nd floor is a good place to chill, and is just beginning to get comfortable hanging out on the 1st floor. Her foster family is going to be working diligently on helping her get adjusted to home life. She is fearful of men and as a result is very cautious around them. Whoever decides to make Gabby their forever friend will need to be patient and dedicated in continuing her training. She will reward your efforts with her attention and lots of sniffs. There's no dog quite like our gorgeous Gabby! If you're interested in meeting Gabby, please fill out an application with Wags today. What are cats?) cheese, some treats, long times without my humans Family: I prefer my siblings a little older, recommended approximately age 9-10 & older, but I have plenty of snuggles to share Bad Habit: what’s yours is mine (aka your lap, bed, personal space and heart), zoomies before bed Goals for Personal Growth: working on crate training as I’m a free spirit, but is ok for short periods. crates are a little scary, but I’m getting used to it!
