Sinbad is a handsome, approximately 9-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mountain Cur, weighing about 75 pounds Sinbad has spent his entire life on a horse farm surrounded by animals and family. He has lived with horses, cats, chickens, and another dog with whom he gets along well. He’s comfortable around horses, although he does enjoy trying to chase the chickens and cats if given the opportunity.   Sinbad loves being outside. Playing fetch and Frisbee are some of his favorite activities, and he always enjoys going for walks. As he’s gotten older, he’s become even more affectionate. A true definition of a lap dog, he loves hard. He absolutely loves attention from his people and will happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and cuddles. He especially enjoys relaxing in bed with the adults in the house and simply being close to his family.   Sinbad has grown up with four children and, for many years, showed incredible patience as they played with him, hugged him, and climbed all over him. As he’s entered his senior years, however, he prefers a quieter lifestyle and has less tolerance for the constant activity that comes with a busy household of young children.   One thing that’s important to know about Sinbad is that he has always displayed some resource-guarding tendencies with high-value items like his balls, toys, and bones. Once he’s finished playing fetch and takes his ball to settle down, he prefers to be left alone with it. Because of this, he would do best with owners who understand canine body language and are willing to simply give him his space when he has something he considers valuable.   His present family has grown over the years, and with children now ages 2, 4, 9, and 11, his home has become much busier than it was when Sinbad was younger. While he still craves attention and affection, he no longer enjoys the constant hustle and bustle. Now,  he deserves a quieter home where he can be the center of someone’s world again.   Sinbad would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or retired family looking for a loyal, loving dog to share their days with. Shea is a 4 year old Black mouth Cur. We Recently moved from a large home with a huge fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood to the city. Unfortunately she is not doing well here, which can be expected. She loves to run and play and she will never get that opportunity here. We’re not sure how long we’ll be living here and don’t want to put her through the stress of having to deal with the city. Shea is a very loving and affectionate, loyal dog. She was a rescue and grew up with our corgi mix. They are like sisters and this is a very difficult decision and unfortunately it’s just not fair to her. We are looking for someone that can give her the time, love, and space that she deserves and needs. She gets extremely overwhelmed with loud and unexpected noises, especially when she’s in a new environment. Shea is housebroken but has had some recent issues with our current situation and the stress is affecting her. Please contact me to discuss further.

Meet Sawyer! At approximately months old, Sawyer has already had quite a journey. This handsome boy showed up as a stray, frightened and alone. He was found cowering under a house, clearly terrified and completely lost. Despite every effort to find his family, no owner ever came forward, so now Sawyer is looking for the forever home he truly deserves. Our veterinarian believes Sawyer may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, and at about 55 pounds already, he's going to be a big, athletic boy! Sawyer has blossomed in foster care and is proving to be a wonderful companion. He is crate trained, knows the commands "sit," "down," and "stay," and has excellent house manners. He always takes care of his potty business when he goes outside. One thing that's become clear is that Sawyer was likely an indoor family dog before he was lost. He enjoys playing outside, tossing his toys into the air and chasing after them, but he doesn't like being left outside by himself. The moment he thinks his person is going inside without him, he'll race to the door, eager to be with his family. He loves toys and loves to take them outside to play with them. Sawyer is incredibly smart and observant. He quickly learns routines and pays close attention to everything happening around him. At bedtime, he settles quietly in his crate without a peep. In the morning, he patiently waits until he hears everyone else getting up before he's ready to start his day. This sweet, goofy boy has a playful side that will keep you smiling. He loves chasing bugs (as long as they aren't chasing him! 😊), and the frogs in his foster home's yard haven't had a moment's peace since Sawyer. He is currently being fostered in Mississippi but can be transported to you!
