Story
! Willie is a retired coon dog. He retired over two years ago when he ran off on the job and came to us instead. His owner was located but failed to return calls to claim him, so here he sits, waiting to meet you instead!!! He is pretty chill and quite the love. The lady dogs love Willie! He is kid friendly, but older and/or understanding kids would probably be best because this sweet old man prefers naps over fetch in the yard. He has not been tested with cats, but given his background of chasing small animals, we can say it would probably be best if he had a home with no cats. Willie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and current on prevention.  **Seniors interested in adopting seniors** We know money can be tight so please contact us about special adoption rates. We are also more than happy to throw in a year of heartworm prevention and a bag of food to get you and Willie started! ##954902##

Story
Duke is nearly 8 months old and ready for adoption. He is able to go to his new home anytime. His mom is Daisy. She is 55 lbs and we believe her to be a Tree Walker Coonhound mix. No idea about dad. Duke was rescued from a high kill shelter in the DFW area, along with his Mom Daisy. Duke absolutely loves to play with toys and other dogs. We are continuing to work at walking on a leash. Duke does need work on housetraining. He knows the “sit” command and “kennel up” command, which he mastered. He’s a really smart boy. Duke really likes being close to humans. His adoption fee includes 4 sets of puppy vaccinations, a rabies vaccination, neuter, deworming, microchip, heartworm preventative on a monthly basis. If you are interested in adopting Duke, please go to our website and complete an application for adoption. www.chloespetrescue.com/application His adoption fee is $100

Story
Meet Buttons! Buttons is looking for his furever home. He's a 1 year old, 33 lb, Treeing Tennessee Brindle/terrier mix. Buttons needs a friendly playmate, not a dominating or overly playful dog. He was pretty scared and introverted initially, he would do best in an environment with another dog will continue to build his confidence. He loves playing with his 13 foster siblings. They have given him space but now run all over the yard together. They even all eat together. Feeding time is like Happy Hour to him and his foster siblings so he may not realize he's not suppose to eat someone else's food. He has zero food aggression which is the upside! He is quiet and crate trained even though he needs a little encouragement to go into his crate. Once he is in his crate, he's quiet and pottie trained. He will go immediately once he is taken to go outside, so no standing in the the rain or cold... bonus! But he has the softest heart and very submissive. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Dutch is a loving smart hunter. He gets rid of moles and squirrels. He knows how to sit, lay down, and give paw. Dutch and Annie our other dog belonged to neighbors, they lost their husband/father and I took them in May of 2022. They are great company and very loving. You have to put a noise collar on when you let Dutch out, because he is a hunting a dog if something catches his eye he will hunt it down even if it means leaving the fenced in yard of 1/2 an acre. He is great with the kids 14 and 7, and loves chasing balls as well. He and Annie play well together and he has a blast at the dog park. I would keep these animals for the rest of their live, however one of my sons has developed a severe allergy to them causing him to have severe breathing problems. I hope to find them both great homes, hopefully together, but I do understand the commitment of a adopting 2 dogs as I have done so.

These pups are in Dallas, Texas too!

Story
Meet Scout, our people-loving, lounge happy dog! She will turn 10 years old this year but is very young at heart. Scout is a beagle-cocker spaniel mix and weighs in at just under 24 pounds. She has a beautiful golden/tan color and is often complimented on her good looks from neighbors and passers by. We adopted Scout when she was about 3 years old (best age guess from shelter). We donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have any history on her background prior to the shelter, but we do know she loves people, does well around kids as long as they arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t poking and pulling at her, and is very content just lounging around in close distance to her human companions.

Scout is a semi-active mature dog who loves to run around the back yard chasing squirrels, followed by some relaxing sunbathing time. She gets bursts of energy and does a few zoomies when we return home for the evenings and enjoys the occasional dog treat (especially anything peanut butter flavored). Scout does not get along with other dogs or cats and would do best in a home where she is the only pet. She currently lives with our family of four, including two young boys ages 5 and 1. We are looking to find Scout a loving home where her companions are able to spend more time at the house with Scout.

Currently, both parents are working outside the home full time and we often have kid activities in the evenings and on weekends, making it difficult to provide Scout with ample outdoor time and bathroom breaks. We are also expecting a third child in September, and are worried the added noise and activity in the household will not be best suited for Scout. An ideal home for her would be one with no other pets, at least one person who is home most days or able to come home during the lunch hour or early afternoon to let Scout outside, and one with older kids or no kids at home. While Scout is kid friendly, she appreciates low key households and more relaxing time near her companions. She does like to get outside and let some energy out once or twice a day, but itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a short bit of energy, maybe 10 minutes or so running around the yard.

Scout is house trained. She is one smart dog! She does have some skin allergies, which we treat with a monthly (4-6 weeks) Cytopoint shot. Alternatively, she can take Apoquel daily. We also feed her prescription Royal Canine dry dog food. She is healthy, happy, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
Charlie is an unusual, unique but gorgeous dog! He appears to be a mix of a Bassett Hound (with his short legs) and Golden Retreiver. What a great combo! He is about 7 months old and currently weighs about 35lbs but will likely grow to about 40-45lbs. He is so incredibly sweet and really loves the women! We have to say, he seems to be partial to the ladies:) However, he does do well with men and kids and loves to play with dogs of all sizes. He will steal your heart! He was rescued from a rural shelter when they became overcrowded, saving him from being killed.
