Did somebody say, "ball?! I'm Beau, and my goodness, do I love a good play session with the ball! My idea of a perfect day with my very own forever human would be a car ride to someplace adventurous where we can play ball and goof around together. Maybe some other doggo friends could even joins us - I'd like that. I'm a 1-year-old, 80-lb cool dude who is ready to roll when it comes to a forever home. I'm potty-trained, great on a leash, very well-behaved, and super sweet. I've also been told I'm easy to train. What can I say, I love to learn! When I'm not feeling studious, I'm generally a goofy guy who is sure to keep you smiling and laughing. I am looking for an active home - so lots of yard play, walks, and fetch for me, please! I hope you'll submit an application to make me your buddy, and we can go on so many awesome adventures together! Reese is the perfect-sized brindle bundle! Her big brown eyes will melt your heart. She is sweet, and goofy, but chill at the same time, and wants to nap next to you all day long! She's about 2 years old and weighs 45 lbs. From what we know she was kept outside most of her life, and because of this she was heartworm positive BUT she is taking her pills every week so she's on the right track! She is playful, silly, sweet, and cuddly. Her likes include treats, food, belly rubs, curling up into a small ball, and napping. Her dislikes include baths and carrots.Reese would do well as your only companion or would love having a furry friend to wrestle and play with. She is learning new things every day and is eager to please for treats! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She loves taking naps at your feet and chewing on bones. She waits patiently for her walk, but it's her favorite part of the day!! If you're looking for a new best friend who's down to hang out whether it's walking or just watching Netflix, Reese is your girl! ##1614754##

Lola was rescued from a local shelter and now her owner has to give her up to no fault of her own.  She is a gorgeous, sweet girl.  She is great with small dogs and seems a bit timid with large dogs but we think she would be fine in time as she gets to know them.  She is obedient and aims to please.  She is about 9 months old, Jan. 2024, and weighs 50 lbs. ##1623586##

He loves other dogs and likely good with children and cats based on his incredible temperament.    He is currently sporting  purple spray paint (compliments of his time on the streets) which will wear off eventually.   To meet Cowboy Franky in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.   ##1995570##

Story
Hello, I'm Pumpernickel! I'll be honest I was a little scared at first, but I'm getting the hang of everything now. It took me a little bit to get used to leash walking, but it is a way for me to get outside so I picked it up pretty quick. The people around here say I have been doing so good that I'm ready to go to a forever home. So, the search begins... FOSTER TESTIMOINIAL: "House trained, doesn't beg for food, very gentle when taking food by hand, loves affection and to cuddle."MY HOME: I would love a place with some outdoor space. But I'm really not picky as long as we get to go outside and explore. KIDS: I can be on the shy side, how about you bring them in to meet me. DOGS: Why don't we go ahead and meet them first too. APPOINTMENT TYPE: None needed! Come meet me any day 12pm-6pm!

Story
COURTESY POST: Hello everyone! My name is Annie (short for Anakin)! I’m a super happy, upbeat, loving, 60-pound, approximately 2 year old female Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix. I’m an amazing dog that LOVES kids, other dogs and spending time with people. I’m very strong and may look intimidating, but I just want a belly rub, time playing with my toys and taking naps in your lap. My favorite games are Tug-of-War and Hide & Go Seek. I love playing Hide & Go Seek because when I find you, I’m truly thrilled and I can cover you with slobbery kisses. Afterwards, we can play again! Also, one of my favorite pastimes is to jump on the trampoline with my person. I love to have fun with everyone! Some important details about my health: I have all my shots, I’m spayed and I’m in good health. Furthermore, I am potty-trained, crate-trained and very food-motivated! Unfortunately, my life was not filled with too much joy in my early months. I had puppies, but tragically, they were taken away from me a few days after they were born. Also, I was kicked out of my home and had to find refuge in the cold, dark streets right after I had just given birth. When I was found, I was very thin, scared and sad. Nevertheless, I’m doing much better now and I can’t wait to find a new home! I hope you can consider adopting me because all I want to do is love, be loved and play together! If you adopt me, we will be best friends forever! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
