Story
String Bean aka Beanie Baby Like your favorite spring vegetable, String Bean showed up on the recent warm weather, and has a surprising sweetness! String Bean is a 1-year-old, 40 pound female coonhound that came to the shelter in St Joseph as a stray. She is extremely skinny but such a happy fun girl. She is heartworm negative and vaccinated. String Bean is dog friendly, she’s gentle and dainty, so prefers calmer dogs. She was tolerant of a some puppies, but did not enjoy them. *small for a Bluetick *Crate trained and loads very easily. She doesn’t mind being crated for a few hours at a time as long as there are fun toys and a soft bed to nap on *Likes to cuddle up and be close *loves exploring the backyard and playing non stop *Eats well no allergies detected *Excellent ear health *Rides well in the car but is nervous loading on her own and exiting *LOVES plush toys and bones *No resource aggression *Beans needs to be reminded to go outside every few hours. She’s still a kid and has ADD *Squirrel chaser And cat nibbler *NO CATS or small animals PLEASE *Does well with all dogs however, she plays a little too hard with little dogs *Walks well on a leash. Would benefit from having a gentle leader included in walking expeditions *Nervous with loud noises, quick movements, and raised voices *Easily redirected when given a better option such as a toy or food *Treat motivated *Counter surfer, trash monger, and remote destroyer. Puppy proofing is a must! *Understands the use of a dog door *Beans needs a family that will include her in everything they do she provide additional training as she’s still maturing *Up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, scheduled to be chipped, heart worm negative *Being fostered in Aurora, Colorado *Adoption fee $200.00 The Fairy Dawg Mother waved her magic wand, and String Bean is now here in Denver! She’s a beauty! Curious, playful, and thoughtful, she would be a great family member for you and your dog who needs a friend! Please visit MFDM.org to fill out an adoption application today!

Story
We adopted Petey as a puppy at a local animal shelter. We have had Petey for 2 years and love him to pieces. Petey loves his people, and loves to cuddle when ever one of us is sick or tired. He loves his walks and we are working on not pulling so much on the leash but there is so much to smell. He is kind of getting interested in fetch but that usually turns to keep away or tug of war. He loves to find a random stick but is not destructive to anything in the house other than a trash can if left out or unlocked. Recently we had an issue where he got into a fight with our neighbors dog and they had a nasty scrap in which our neighbors dog required some stitches and wounds and a sore leg at the animal ER. It is not safe or fair for our neighbors dog to be out when Petey is out and therefore we leash him whenever we go to the back yard and this is not fair to him or conducive to our lives either as we have 2 teenage kids and our chaotic life right now with all of the events.

Story
Sunny is more than just a pretty face (and wow, what a face!)—he’s a heart-stealer with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. He was a bit shy and unsure of the world at first. But with a little patience and kindness, he’s truly come out of his shell—and now? He’s a total sweetheart who lights up the room with his goofy, affectionate energy. He may be 3 —Sunny has the zest and zoomies of a much younger dog and loves to play like a puppy discovering joy for the first time. Because of his sensitive side, we recommend a home with kids 12+ who can respect his space and help him continue to build confidence. Sunny can`t wait to brighten your days! What I Need In a Home:* Kids 12+ mandatory

Story
Meet Pen! He's a 10 month old male catahoula mix that has been with LOLA's Rescue for 8 months already while waiting to find his forever home. Pen is a very loyal cuddle companion that would love a home where he can be the spotlight of all your love and affection. He's not a fan of other dogs so a home where the focus is on him only would be amazing. No cats as this boy definitely has a bit of a prey drive. Look at how handsome he is in photos <3 Pen rides good in a car and was potty trained in his previous foster home. Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.    ##2172718##
