Courtesy post "Riley is estimated to be a 2 year old blue tick/ Catahoula hound mix that was originally surrendered to Paw Prints Vet in WV. He was adopted on March 1st after getting neutered and vaccinated on February 24th. Unfortunately, we cannot provide him his forever home because we do not have the time or space he needs to be cared for permanently. He loves cuddling and is great with humans, including kids. He does well with submissive dogs, but does not handle reactive or loud dogs well. He is very skittish with some dogs and would be better off in a home without pets and with someone who can run him often and put in the time to train him since he has separation anxiety. We are located in Westminster, MD and we'd like to get him a home ASAP, as the person whose dog was bit is unwilling to live in the home until the dog is no longer on the property. Austin is housebroken, dog-friendly, and people friendly. He loves to play with other dogs - all sizes and ages - and knows when to stay back from an unwilling partner. . His foster family's pack includes a grumpy senior hound, and a needy young hound; Austin has successfully navigated their temperaments without one growl or sign of aggression. He does well on a leash and will sit (or lie down and roll around) on neighborhood walks if you strike up a conversation with a friend. He loves car rides - usually lying down about 15 minutes into the ride. When he's chilling, he likes to put his head over on the arm of your chair or on your arm, or snuggle up a little closer to you. You'll want to have non-stuffed chew toys for him (benebones, kongs). He is such an easy-going guy with a lot of love to give. His L eye has a redness in the inner corner - likely a birth defect. Medically, it's fine.- Cat tested and passed

Poncho is a happy guy that true to his breed has a great nose! Knowledge of the Coonhound breed is a plus for potential adopters. He enjoys going on walks and out to the play yard to have "sniff time"! He is around 62 pounds and is about 2 years old. Poncho does get over excited at times and will jump up, he is working on this habit, but he may be too much for small children due to this. An age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff. Poncho loves getting treats (well he loves food in general)! Poncho is vocal so close neighbors or apartment living would not be ideal. Poncho would love to find his loving forever home soon! One of “14” pups ready to “Pop Out” into the world when mom found herself stuck in a shelter. Lucky for us all, mom was pulled to safety by Molly’s Place Rescue in the nick of time. With “Floppy Hound Ears”, an occasional Bay to make you smile, I’m an even tempered, all people friendly, tail wagging, eager to please and goofy. Halle is my name and having fun is my game! I’m a 1 y/o, 60# (about) Bluetick Coonhound gal who was one of “14” pups. My mom found herself about ready to give birth stuck in a shelter. Lucky for all of us, she was pulled to safety by Molly’s Place Rescue. My sister Henrietta and I are the “2” lone pups still on the hunt for a home! Guess just haven’t had our “Special Family/Person” come knocking yet! Did you see the picture of my sister and I looking over the fence, I’m the good looking one on the “Right”. Yep, that’s me. Still a pup at heart, I do have a lot of learning to do, but Hounds are smarter than most think. Hounds also make “The BEST FAMILY PETS EVER!” Not only am I a good looking hound dog with dark eyes, long floppy ears and a great hound “Bay”, but I’m also kid, adult, dog and even cat! Yeah, really!!! I’m an easy going, even tempered, goofy gal that does love to meet new people and am outgoing yet can sack it out once the day is done.
